This video helped out more than you can ever imagine, as someone who has an iPad Pro 12.9 inch with a AZ12 chip, I’ve been debating if I should go 11 or 13 but watch this and your other comparison video made it very clear to me. Thanks for your real life use perspective of the iPad instead of just reading a bunch of specs
How far out? I’ve gone back to the Apple Store within 30 days and asked them if I could exchange something and they always are open to it. I think especially for exchanges, they should be good.

I was a chartered accountant so I’m very familiar with that stuff 😂. Just happy I’m not doing that anymore. But that’s a solid idea. Will definitely make a video about this. Thanks for the feedback!
@@whatsbestnow You CAN load a spreadsheet on an iPad but actually having a good experience is another thing. Especially if you are doing more than the basics. My point is that most of these videos show content creators who say they take notes, make thumbnails and maybe try using Final Cut or Davinci. Even then most have kind of a meh or mixed experience. So I am just suggesting taking it to a new level. Try getting more than just UA-cam creator work and show what a person who is doing other types of work would experience.
I mean they’re clearly living with the Ipad pro as a regular consumer not a business professional. Most people don’t deal with spreadsheets outside of work. The most I do is keep a checkbook in an excel which the any Ipad can do.
In those seated positions with no table (like your waiting room experience), the iPad really shines in handheld mode. This is only feasible for the 11’’, not 13’’.
Oh 100% thats why I pulled the iPad off the keyboard as well. I think I shared the same sentiment about 11” vs 13” in this regard as well in the video. This is why day in the life and actual real world experiences always trumps in studio testing and reviews!

I do agree with you on the 11” iPad for people who have a MacBook. But the iPad will be my only device and does everything I need to do. So getting the bigger iPad is know problem for me.

The volume keys switching positions when in landscape is great! Volume up is always on the right: vehicles, Echo speakers … Also, Zoom runs on “the actual webpage;” I was in conferences last week!
The volume keys, I understand the reasoning for sure lol. Just annoying for me cause I’m not used to it yet. Now when I get used to it, it throws me off on the phone because the iPhone doesn’t do that lol. In regards to zoom, that’s so weird, it wouldn’t let me join the meeting at all. It forced me to download the app lol. I’ll give it another go.

I keep thinking back to the data pads on the original Star Trek series and to the earpiece Uhura had. They had the right idea, but they couldn't conceive of things getting so small and so thin. People would just not believe it if they made today's tech on the show.
I’ve got a 11 inch m2 air and I love it. I came from a 6th gen iPad so it already feels bigger and holding a 13 inch to read the news etc just felt too big. It’s gonna be my machine for a masters so will do heavy note taking and internet browsing. Definitely don’t think I need anything more than that (although I did get the pencil pro coz why not 😂😂)

I have an iPad 8, an iPad Air 3rd, an iPad 10th and now my new iPad Air 11" M2 2024, It's amazing what an improvement there has been in battery life. the iPad 8 had to be recharged whenever I opened it. the iPad Air needs to be fully charged about half the time I open it. The 10th-generation iPad had to be recharged about 1/3 of the time I opened it. Finally, the new M2 iPad Air is about 1/4 of the time I open it. the rest of the time they sit in a Griffen Doc I got on eBay (Great charging cabinet but it was expensive at the time it debuted and was impossible to locate the entire system of components here in Canada). I might get an iPad Air when they move it to an M4 in a year or so but that will be my last and final laptop (retire in 7 years and plan to stop upgrading and updating my tech in preparation for this life event). I was going to go for the iPad Pro. Unless they make major changes to iPad OS I can't justify the price tag. The announcement of Apple Intelligence and the calc app really does not address any of the other issues mentioned here by other primary creators. I really don't think Mac OS on the iPad Pro is the right answer but the current iPad OS 18 is not solving long-standing issues wither, particularly the file system or some sideshow issues.
After my GCSEs I’m looking to buy an iPad Pro, and I’m not sure between getting the 13 inch or 11 inch, if I were to get the 11 inch I was wondering if it is worth also getting a monitor so I could use an external keyboard and mouse with the monitor and iPad while at home at my desk, but then I could just use the iPad when I’m at school for example. I'm sure other people have said this but THE VOLUME BUTTON ORIENTATION is a SETTING bro. You can change that. Edit: I read comments - so Apple removed the option to change that setting with the m4 ?

The thinness of the M4 is fantastic but that price.. I managed to win a 12.9" iPad M1 on eBay in pristine condition for 1/3 of the price (£570 for 512GB with cellular), that's insane - I found the 11" just too small for for most things, so I'm in the opposite camp to you. Performance wise I can't tell the difference, camera is the same (actually a bit better on the M1), screen is still the excellent MiniLED 120hz ProRes, speakers are in fact a bit better, it's a bit more durable too. With the money saved, I can also add a MacBook Pro M1 and a weekend trip away somewhere and still have money left over!
So you should have gotten the 11-inch originally? I feel like your dislike of the 13 was the size, but maybe if you got the 11 you would feel the same you do now?
Yeah that’s what I mean! I should have stuck with 11”. The prob is in the past Apple gave the better screens (mini led) only to the 13”. So I naturally didn’t want the lower specd iPad. But this year the 11 and 13 are the same which made me more comfortable to downsize to 11”.

The thing is that when I own an 11” iPad Pro I love the size but immediately I begin needing more screen space, even outside. And then I realize I don’t need a Pro iPad for 11” but an iPad Air does the same thing, cheaper. So, it’s always the 13” for me. I would even buy a 15” iPad Pro.

Honestly, if you deal with serious EXCEL spreadsheet, just switch to the damn PC, finish off your work, then stick with the iPad for: 1) Meeting 2) Open up excel to check for things (not the massive editing type) 3) Watch movie on the go 4) Play AAA games, even with controller 5) Watch UA-cam 6) Use notes 7) Use Microsoft Project 8) Show off your iPad with a Magic Keyboard in an expensive coffee shop 9) Buy new expensive backpack to keep your iPad Pro M4 with a Magic Keyboard 10) Visit your relative house and bring out the iPad and Magic Keyboard act like you’re busy to check some emails but actually just to let them ask about “wow is that a Magic Keyboard?”

I think tablets shouldn't be any larger than 12" cz the point of having one is for its portability. I love my 11" tablet and I feel it's big enough for my needs on-the-go. I'm used to using a 10" tablet/netbook before this for years... So an 11" tablet feels like an upgrade, esp with the better screen and higher resolution 😂 lol
the matte screen (nano textures) sucks , tried it in the store. the whites are no longer white and the blacks no longer blacks... it also gets dirty faster
@@TausifHussain the white is purplish, the black is greyish, it ruins completely the oled display... i tested it for an hour at the shop. The oled makes sense only for deep blacks and vivid colors. u pay for a screen and for another thing that ruins it...
I went with the 13 Pro 2TB. Hoping it handles my workload without lag or overheating issues. I use it daily for E-Mail, UA-cam and some light porn on the weekends.
It's ironic that the iPad Pro can usually run graphically demanding games better than the macbook, and the unlimited amount of mobile games on there probably is a justification for having a better chip than a macbook.

Why are the iPad volume buttons a problem when you can easily change them in Settings?
Settings > Sounds > Turn on Fixed Position Volume Controls
This setting is not available on the new iPads.

If you rotate to landscape when holding it’s easiest to use your left finger for volume where switching the buttons is more intuitive
The volume button issue can be fixed in settings under “fixed volume controls”

Dude, the volume buttons are a preference. You can turn the switch feature off in Settings.

I loved my BenQ 27" 2K monitor. I eventually wanted to move to a 5K monitor and sadly BenQ doesn't make a 27" 5K monitor so I bought a LG.

So you should have gotten the 11-inch originally? I feel like your dislike of the 13 was the size, but maybe if you got the 11 you would feel the same you do now?
Yeah that’s what I mean! I should have stuck with 11”. The prob is in the past Apple gave the better screens (mini led) only to the 13”. So I naturally didn’t want the lower specd iPad. But this year the 11 and 13 are the same which made me more comfortable to downsize to 11”.

The thing is that when I own an 11” iPad Pro I love the size but immediately I begin needing more screen space, even outside. And then I realize I don’t need a Pro iPad for 11” but an iPad Air does the same thing, cheaper. So, it’s always the 13” for me. I would even buy a 15” iPad Pro.

Honestly, if you deal with serious EXCEL spreadsheet, just switch to the damn PC, finish off your work, then stick with the iPad for:
1) Meeting
2) Open up excel to check for things (not the massive editing type)
3) Watch movie on the go
4) Play AAA games, even with controller
5) Watch UA-cam
6) Use notes
7) Use Microsoft Project
8) Show off your iPad with a Magic Keyboard in an expensive coffee shop
9) Buy new expensive backpack to keep your iPad Pro M4 with a Magic Keyboard
10) Visit your relative house and bring out the iPad and Magic Keyboard act like you’re busy to check some emails but actually just to let them ask about “wow is that a Magic Keyboard?”

I think tablets shouldn't be any larger than 12" cz the point of having one is for its portability. I love my 11" tablet and I feel it's big enough for my needs on-the-go. I'm used to using a 10" tablet/netbook before this for years... So an 11" tablet feels like an upgrade, esp with the better screen and higher resolution 😂 lol
Zoom on the iPad is a challenge… the iPad gets very warm, having it on Power makes it even worse.
the matte screen (nano textures) sucks , tried it in the store. the whites are no longer white and the blacks no longer blacks... it also gets dirty faster
I disagree man. Switched to nano and absolutely love it.
@@TausifHussain the white is purplish, the black is greyish, it ruins completely the oled display... i tested it for an hour at the shop. The oled makes sense only for deep blacks and vivid colors. u pay for a screen and for another thing that ruins it...

When you’re taking the iPad into the toilet or bathroom, you know you have a problem
I went with the 13 Pro 2TB. Hoping it handles my workload without lag or overheating issues. I use it daily for E-Mail, UA-cam and some light porn on the weekends.
It's ironic that the iPad Pro can usually run graphically demanding games better than the macbook, and the unlimited amount of mobile games on there probably is a justification for having a better chip than a macbook.
With a full ACL and near full MCL tear you have not choice but to have surgery if you want to be active and mobile.

While the system is great it was never meant to be a primary source of food support. Low social assistance rates, high rents and the government's unwillingness to believe that you aren't getting an equivalent amount from friends, relatives, or your secret aunt destroys life for those on disability and welfare. we see the results on the streets and in the homeless shelters. AI is going to accelerate this trend. I used to program computers. Now AI is generating most of the code at 1/10 the cost of a programmer with two degrees and ten years of experience.
