I like that you mentioned the feeling of not being present in your own memories. I think it's really common nowadays with all this technology. loved the video Ryan!
Exactly. That is one of the reasons why I don't take photos of things. "Oh great, you were on vacation, you must have ton of pictures!!!", no, no I don't. I refuse to take them. I want to experience everything fully, with my own eyes and take in the reality around me. I don't want a screen capturing an image of a personal experience. It takes away from it. If I see a beautiful sunset, I can take a picture of it in a few seconds, yes, but that are a few seconds that I spent on the phone, capturing the image, and not FULLY taking in the sight and its beauty, who's large part of comes from the fact that it is THERE and NOW, not something that can be replayed or looked at later on a phone. And would you believe it, my life is actually MUCH happier now. I enjoy moments much more when I get to fully immerse myself in them instead of spending time to save it for later. Just the thought "This is now and never again, take it in, enjoy it... or suffer it. But this is NOW and NEVER again!" brings so much joy, freedom and love of life that even the simple phones took away. And AR simply kills it outright. With it, you no longer experience anything, you are just browsing through your album to which you applied filters and effects. That is not a life worth living.
