at 22:38 MIND BLOWN! Thank you so much for saving unnecessary precomps and making a project heavier with pixel transparency, and blending frames all into a single UI on VFX suite. Thank you very much!

Indeed. Be sure to watch the follow up video showing off newer features that have been added since this video was made: ua-cam.com/video/tOa46VTjyl8/v-deo.html
Compositing Rec709 elements into LOG footage as briefly discussed at 45:20 was all I needed. The rest of this plug-in is gravy, Wrap it up folks we're done here.
It is a very good plugin! I think though, it lacks something important... You can't create a 3D camera within Supercomp. You cannot apply lights. You cannot 3D or 2D track. I don't know if Supercomp works with Mocha for planar tracking... You cannot place layers in 3D space in Supercomp so you can move them using 3D cameras. Almost every After Effects project uses 3D cameras and lights. I don't think if you can apply camera projection to the Supercomp layers..... I don't know if you can work with 3d layers withing Supercomp... If this plugin can incorporate all these, it will probably be the best plugin in the film industry market..
@@dashidoshi This is a composition plugin - you already have pre-composited or rendered all elements including lights and camera movement and you want to combine them all.
so there is a max to the amount of layers you can be editing at once right? im trying it for the first time and can only do like 26 layers before it automatically disables one and replaces it with another layer from source layers, and also when it does it layer replacement thing it removes all the plugins you added, please help
AE is using an alphabetical labeling system for each layer it feeds to Supercomp. So, yes, we ran out at 26. Unfortunately, in this current iteration, you'll need to precomp some of your layers to get over 26.
Would it be possible to use super comp, and then render ONLY the subject? It’d be so amazing to use stills from an unreal engine scene that I’m going to place my subject in and do the super comp edit so that the subject fits in unreal perfectly without having to do a bunch of steps in UE.
It's not possible at the moment - Supercomp was built with the intention that it's the final step in compositing. That doesn't mean we can't add that sort of functionality in the future though. We'll pass your request on to the team.
Is that possible to export graded foreground with transparent background? I want to use supercomp to colormatch greensceen footage with Unreal Engine footage but I want to export it back to UE and use as bilboard. It seems color correction can't be easier with supercomp :)
You could apply a Set Matte effect on an adjustment layer above the Supercomp layer if you really wanted to. Supercomp is meant to be the last step in the process, but it can be worked around.
45:23 - 45:55 let’s say I want to take this footage into Resolve for grading via the Color Space Transform function. Which input gamma would Supercomp’s LOG be?
