You gotta realise you are speaking to Americans, If Black Books is a bit slow burn in comedy then Spaced will put them in a COMA!, I recommend they try react to 'Bottom' that comedy from the 90's its fast paced, almost every line in each scene is a joke, and the comedy violence is hilarious & bizarre!

Good episode, but I think Black Books is a bit too much of a slow burn comedy for a reaction video especially for Amercains, Father Ted & I.T Crowd was perfect because the are fast paced with lost of visual weird jokes, the only comedy I can think to recommend is 'Bottom' that 90's anarchic!, crazy, show I'm sure they will love that!

Here in the UK we have food colourings, but a lot of them are naturally sourced, like e160b which is made from annatto seeds, sometimes used to make cheese more yellow/orange, or e100 is just tumeric, and to make sweet things brown we just add caramel.
M&Ms in Europe aren't as brightly coloured as US market ones cause a bunch of the colours are regulated and they had to find legal alternatives.

    • @MrSpazbomb

We definitely have less rubbish in our food in Europe than in America. Even our fast food isn’t always as bad as in America. For example, in Britain our McDonald’s fries 🍟 contain only 3 ingredients: potatoes, oil, and salt. The American ingredients list is about the length of a short story. I’d be too scared to eat imported American foods regularly.

I was about to do my ‘grumpy old man’ impression, when I realised they were having a Nerf gun battle with one of the other neighbours, and were using my fence as something to hide behind. Wrong that's where the weirdo's ( paedo's ) are now and that's why it's safer for your kids outside they can tell who the weirdo's are without being tricked into meeting them (under the guise of some kid there own age) somewhere secluded near a parked van !

There have been American t.v networks who have turned the phenomenon into a sort of reality t.v genre of catch a predator ! A lot of UA-camrs have also used the same format for years which has created a lot of moral debate about whether it is entrapment and whether that may prevent a criminal case from being formed against them by creating a loophole for them to escape justice ! There are also lots of specialist law enforcement officers around the world who also pose as children online to catch people doing this sort of criminal behaviour with what is often dubbed as honey traps ! I suggest if you are going to make remarks and comments you look into and educate yourself on any subject matter you are commenting on (in this case maybe look up the definition of online grooming ) to save yourself any embarrassment of making yourself look foolish by discussing matters you obviously have no knowledge of or to put it in your own terms speaking nonsense about Swiss cheese ! I think the reason for all the chemicals and flavour enhancers and additives is probably because when you mass-produce foods using cheap industrial processes, it probably doesn’t taste of anything until youpump it full of artificial stuff. Not exactly made with love!

Sadly Black Books is a bit of a slow burn comedy!, Not the insane, quick-fire pace of Father Ted or I.T Crowd, I would humbly ask you check out a 90's UK Comedy series called 'Bottom' that is totally ridiculous! It's double' entendres all the way!, insane slapstick, and just overall hilarious! No boring moments at all. It was a huge TV hit in the UK in the 90s for many years

P.s. you guy's should watch the "Beckham" interview on "The Ali G Show"

Problem with fewer additives is the foods go stale faster.
Bread from am bakers goes stale pretty quickly.
You forgot the additive that cause sphincter "leakage"...

You need to know a bit about English football to fully understand the misunderstanding of who David Beckham is joke, by Bernard... He says "he was the one who cried at the world cup, then sold crisps". He is referring to two different England players here in Paul Gascoigne and then Gary Lineker. Gazza who cried after getting a yellow card in the 1990 world cup semi final that meant he would be banned for the final if England made it (they didn’t) and Lineker who went on to advertise crisps for Walkers.... among other things

Hi from Bonnie Scotland. Have you ever seen any of Billy Connolly's shows he is Scotland's favourite comedian, I never tire of watching him. Also there was a comedy show called Absolutely Fabulous with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley it's really funny, have you heard of French and Saunders? ( Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French), their comedy sketches have me in hysterics.

Omid Djalili was the creepy photographer you recognised. He did stand-up and had a few parts in Hollywood.
Queen B is totally right about the lack of additives and chemicals in European food. You'd be more than welcome in Europe, although you might find the climate in Scotland colder than Florida.

If you want to know the core reason which accounts for the ingredients lists on processed foods in the USA being so much longer and more complicated than for the same (or equivalent) products in the UK and Europe: It comes down to the opposite attitudes towards consumer protection regulations on opposite sides of the Atlantic - and I mean that literally, no exaggeration involved.
Basically, regulators in Europe take a hands-on, pro-active role - any food additive has to be demonstrably safe to use before it can legally be used. Whereas regulators in the USA take a hands-off, purely reactive role, doing the absolute bare minimum they can get away with: Any food additive has to be conclusively proven to be harmful before it can be legally banned from being used.
This doesn't just apply to food ingredients either: There is another category of products which is (legally) neither food or drug: Nutritional supplements. These too are subject to the same "put any ingredient you like in them and nobody will stop you until something is proven to be harmful" reactive approach to regulations. In fact the regulations for nutritional supplements in the USA are so relaxed (and/or poorly enforced) that when some randomised tests were done a few years ago on supplements purchased from a variety of retailers, approximately 1 in 3 bottles contained no trace at all of whatever "active ingredient" was written on the label. Some even contained something entirely different, like dried leaves from common house plants or even dried and powdered grass cuttings.
So why are there such opposing attitudes towards consumer protection regulations between the USA and Europe? I can't be certain, and your guess is probably as good as mine, but my own hypothesis is that this is a result of different interpretations of "freedom". The USA seems to place a priority on the "freedom to" do whatever you want, even if that does affect other people - with that last part applying especially to businesses (and more so to larger businesses), compared to individual people. Whereas Europe seems to place a greater priority on the "freedom from" being harmed by the actions of others.
The paradox in all of this is that the USA has a much larger and stronger "libertarian" presence than Europe does, and one of the fundamental metaphors for how limits on freedom are determined is often described as "your freedom to swing your fists ends at my face", or words to that effect. Even the most hardcore, Ayn Rand toting "Tea Party" libertarians tend to agree with that one, so quite why the USA seems to have difficulty recognising the importance of the "freedom from" remains a mystery.

The US food standards are pretty awful for a lot of stuff. The basic difference is that in Europe ingredients /additives have to be proven to be safe before they can be used. In the US, ingredients/additives have to be proven harmful before they are removed. It's wrong. But as you said, money first people 2nd.

Just in case it was my comment you read, just to clarify what I was saying Dylan Moran created the show. He also came up with a lot of the initial ideas.
But he didn't know how to write scripts properly, script writing is a very specific skill. He worked with Graham Linehan to create a proper script for the show out of what he had done so far, then it became a partnership after this - so it's a Dylan Moran created show, but written by both of them.

My manager spent so much time in a sunbed he made trump look pale and with the black hair and moustache all night people were talking Arabic to him 😂😂

A tiny joke you may have missed in this one - (26:12) When Omid Djalili says "The hairiest star in the whole MIL'Y WOAY!" hes actually shouting in a cockney accent - giving away the fact that his character isn't actually foreign, he's a Londoner! Djalili himself has a home counties accent when hes just talking normally. He was born in Chelsea, west London!
