No-one can construct a long form joke like Stewart Lee. He is not to everyone's taste but for me he is incredible.
The Caffè Nero bit is legendary. Goes on forever and he departs from it about 10 times but he ties it all back together.
He's a genius
I think he's great, and he cracks me up so much
Just fantastic seen him live a few times and no one can hold a candle to him in my opinion
It terms of structuring a joke he might be the best ever
'Stewart Lee on UKIP' is a classic
Bloody Huguenots
Did you mean, "The UKIPs"?
Greatest stand up comedian of all time in my opinion. Seen him live twice, spoke with him after both shows and he was an absolute gentleman and incredibly friendly.
Yep, nobody comes close for me. There's very few people who can make me belly laugh, Norm and Stew stand in a league of their own.
Wish we could have gotten Norm and Stew in a room together for an hour.
I saw him and his wife before a show just walking round enjoying the sun ....he looked fat and miserable 😂
I think he’s the 41st greatest comedian
James May came out of that quite well I thought.
😂
You see how British Comedy works. It leads you into thinking that its gone serious and then it slaps you in the face.
Not British Comedy: Stuart Lee comedy!
*Slaps you in the face? Like the Tango Man?*
Stewart Lee genuinely doesn’t like Clarkson. Interestingly one of Clarkson’s daughters mentioned in Lee’s routine has publicly criticised her father many times over his ridiculously nasty comments in newspapers. Most people who aren’t fans of his, like myself, merely ignore him or refer his fans to this video where Lee neatly sums up the Clarkson style.
“It’s just a joke” is the dumbest and most indefensible defence… this routine is brilliant
I saw both of Stewart Lee's shows at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. He's a genius.
I will just add that Stewart Lee's bit on Brexit and Trump is absolutely gold!
Stuart Lee comes out of the same stable as Sean Lock. You can hear Sean laughing and clapping from heaven
Stewart Lee and Richard Hammond went to the same school in Solihull near Birmingham. Lee is two years older than Hammond but their paths might have crossed.
You should watch Stewart Lee on Paul Nuttall of the UKIPs
I'd like to see Stewart Lee get attacked by an extremely large and viscous Pitbull terrier.
100%
Stewart Lee is brilliant ,I absolutely adore his show 'if you prefer a milder comedian'( that this is from) it's probably my favourite comedy show ever, not just of his. The 'pear cider' ending is total genius He is the master of the slow burn, the rant and the call back. But one of my favourite things about him, is how he turns on half the audience and berates them for not laughing enough, he will totally roast them. It's kinda what he is known for. He really is a master at controlling the room and is also known as the comedian's comedian. Please do the pear cider bit of this show!
So glad you enjoy Stewart Lee and appreciate his style of comedy, there's lots of people who don't get it. Great reaction mate!
"I dont care what your politics are, if you're funny you're funny"
That's a great quote.
I love your reaction to this. You really get his humour.
Stewart lee 'UKIP' is his best skit by far imo. Its a must watch m8
I think Stewart Lee's "The Joe Pasquale Bit" is right up your street. You'll love it
His "internet comments" clip is brilliant!
To put into context him mentioning he's liberal, he is referring to the emails and articles he gets from the mainstream tabloid press in the UK who are constantly stoking culture wars with the likes of Clarksons weekly contributions.
The man’s a genius. I’ve seen him 59 times at this point (I go to a lot of live comedy) and his stuff never wears thin. It’s not just funny, it’s incredibly well thought out and performed. A master of his craft.
FIFTY-NINE TIMES?!?!
What a fucking legend
@@vollsticks he’s not even the top of the list of people I’ve seen most (4th)
@@moisie23 Jesus you weren't lying when you wrote that you watch a LOT of live comedy! Respect!
@@moisie23 Who have you seen most?
@@thevaccinator666 Daniel Kitson 108 times, then John Kearns 75, and Tim Key 61.
Stewart Lee is one of our best
Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle show on the BBC was genius.
The Mail on Sunday burn at the end had the desired effect….they were so tilted
I'll never see Richard Hammond in the same light again, pure class.
His newest specials recently televised, particularly the second part, are incredible
The King; levels above. Great reaction.
His Shilbottle routine is incredible
You have to see his routine on 911. Just spectacular.
Love Stuart Lee, glad you did this, do more please
Love Stewart Lee. Seen that video before but can watch it again and again.
Lee just proving nothing should be off limits
I love watching you laugh your head off to this and other British comedy delights.
Is he ready for Brass Eye?
Haha I love this clip, I remember watching it 10 years ago and loving it! And funnily enough, even if Lee doesn't really mean any of this and it's just a sketch, it actually innoculated me against wanting to watch Top Gear. After this and his other sketches on TG, it kind of lost it's flair for me and Clarkson and Hammond started irritating me. This guy's stuff is well thought through and has real impact. He's done another sketch on the TG guys representing the 3 bears that's also funny.
Theres a series called stuart lees comedy vehicle thats half hours of his stand up each show but the smaller audience venue makes his stand up have a different edge to it, You should definitely do that i think
I've always loved your videos, but your reaction and understanding of the layers at play here make you one of our own... Love you bro, I am proud to be a member of your Muppet army.... Fucking love you man... You are truly one of us... I love the programmes the top gear guys do and I also love Lee... We can deal with them both and you have that nuanced view we think nobody else gets....but you got it, and for that we love you man....we are your Muppet Army and we salute you sir!
Do this video. Trump and Brexit...

Crawler😉
You have to put the minutes in and prepare for build up comedy but his Pear Cider routine is by far the funniest. You've gotta watch that at some point!
Check out Stewart Lee's 'For Example, And this Is True'.
13:09 one of the funniest things I've heard on this channel lmao this comedian.
Yes Stew on UKIP , and evolution or immigration, Famtastic, Space lab 777 , got it right, so cleverly put!
Stewart Lee is without a doubt one of the most underrated British comedians
Personally i think he’s overrated as a comedian and a person.
Love it. I still think the WIlliam Wallace stuff is my favourite, given the audience he was telling it to, who largely found it funny.
I can’t choose. The Rappers. Braveheart. Top Gear. Pear Juice. Gaping anus…
Big KB 😂😂Your reaction made it even funnier 👌🏽😂😂🫶🏽
Americans reacting to Stewart Lee is such a sight to behold
So you have found Stewart Lee? Welcome to a world of cerebral and sarcastic world of genius.
Stewart Lee is absolute genius :)
Richard and Judy is a talk show. Alan partridge is apparently based on Richard madley.
Stuart Lee's features in the Observer are also a rich source of scurrilous, wildly absurd extended Swiftian satirical rants.
Stewart just proved that jokes about blind kids are funny.
Stewart just proved he's a woketard with a humour bypass.
@@philjones6054 He's only joking. Like on top gear.
Love Stewart Lee. I’m seeing his new live show next month
yes mate so glad you decided to watch it !!!
Stewart Lee is a genius. That’s all.
The more you see of Stewart Lee though more you get - enjoyed this KB 👏
Please react to "Give it to me straight like a pear cider that's made from 100% pear" by Stewart Lee. It's about 20 minutes long and it's split into 2 parts but it's so worth it.
Paul foot shirehorses is only for the brilliant or Keith moon/syd barrett madness
Sometime Stewart Lees bild up can be a bit long but the payoff is always worth it especially with his deadpan delivery, I like commedians who have that deadpan delivery such as Jack Dee, Joan Rivers, Milton Jones, Emo Phillips and Jo Brand.
Jack Dee is one of the best stand ups I have seen. His delivery is perfect. Loved him on Shooting Stars too.
Stewart takes you way down into dark comedy "all of them in all their eyes" wow and yet lol
Vicious!
Brilliant as always Mr King, Sir
I ADORE Stewart Lee. I've seen him twice and he never disappoints.
Fantastic reaction. I'm going to see Stewart (for the third time) in Basic Lee next week.
What did you think of Basic Lee? I saw him doing it at DeMontford in Leicester.I want to see it again in London as I reckon it will develop into a great show
His Pear Cider routine is amazing but long but a must watch.
Not sure that one will translate well since the slogan is from a UK cider advert.
@@Lones555 I'm from the UK and didn't get it either.
He is a genius of comedy
hes's very good, the uk equivalent of norm macdonald, comedians comedian
Stuart Lee on James Cordon is hilarious.
If you had said Stuart lee and James Corden are hilarious I think I would have agreed with your opinion that they are on the same level.
Nice one KB!!!
Cheers and thanks!
Stewart Lee's a bit slow to get into.. he's so different. I definitely didn't find him as funny when I first came across him as I do now.. my personal favorite bit is Give it to me straight, like a pear cider, that's made from a 100% pear xD Hilarious bit. The 90s comedian excerpt on youtube I think you'd enjoy as well.. pear cider might be hard to understand if you don't know the slogan.
thanks for another enjoyable reaction! :D
He is a liberal yes but he has had quite a lot of success roasting the stupidity and incompetence of the right wing British press almost like if Peter Cook or Ian Hislop did stand up. He comes from the right place with it however, he did a routine roasting a journalist and their coverage of the "Suffolk strangler" case criticizing the way that the journalist wrote about the victims.
So many Stewart Lee clips to recommend. Audience Analysis In Sheffield, Shilbottle, Coming Over Here...
Stuwart Lee playing the room as it's dealt, 12 mins long.
I think the term ‘Liberal' carries different meanings in the US than in Europe.
Yes more Stewart Lee. All the clips you’ve seen so far are just snippets from larger sets. If you wanna watch a whole set but with a shorter time I’d recommend any episode from any series of “Comedy Vehicle” It’s primarily Stewart Lee doing standup on a particular subject for about 30 mins. Nice one ya muppet!
Try Charlie brooker’s review of the year.
He’s a bit like Stewart lee
Your face when he said he wished he'd been killed tho 🤣 it is surprising to see an American liking Stuart Lee tho, didn't think he's material would travel well
Stewart Lee ! more reaction please😂
OK, next Stewart Lee video reaction has to be the Joe Pasquale joke, see video titled: ' Stewart Lee: Edinburgh & Beyond 2005. The Joe Pasquale Bit.' (10 mins 32 secs) version 😄
oh god yes... thats amazing. love that one
I love Stewart Lee, take a look at his clips 'coming over here' and 'Brexit'.
Brexit is sublime
Hands up who went straight to that Clarkson/Gordon Brown clip after this.
Funniest stand up routine ever.
Stewart Lee is by far and away the greatest stand up working today. No-one comes close. You should react to his 'breakdown' skit...
Stewart Lee is probably the only lefty comedian I actually like. His sarcasm is off the scale. 😁
Prefer Bernard Manning?
@@nick260682 prefer being a twat? Rhetorical.
They’re all lefty, some right-wingers try to be comedians, but they fail
@@HistoritorJimaldus There’s a few still clinging on from the 80s (Chubby Brown, Davidson etc) but generally you’re right, they fail, cos punching down just isn’t funny.
@@HistoritorJimaldus I suppose it depends on how you define lefty. I bet Ricky Gervais would be described as far right by most "lefties" though he's likely left wing in the UK. Patrice O Neale? His views are basically white supremacist hate speech these days, but he's was likely quite left wing in his day.
Bill Burr...leftie? No. Probably votes democrat though.
But most likely your subset of humans you class as comedians is entirely created by you watching main stream TV, which is a massive filtration device that is completely far left.
Exactly how I feel about the top gear muppets. Stuart Lee is a legend!
Muppets?? Only made the biggest car show of all time
@@mac10ner Yeah based on casual racism xenophobia and bullying of staff. All good natured fun while the white brexit migrant bashing UK public lap it up!
Jealousy is a cruel emotion
the master in action
Now you have to find the UKIP sketch.
The King loves a good rant 🙂
Yes lol.
My main concern about Jeremy Clarkson’s daughters is that they don’t look like their dad. The horror…
Nice one for doing some more Stewart Lee. THE most unique and very funny comedian in the UK and, as you say, a very intelligent guy. He ended this show with a brilliant piece called 'Give it to me straight, like a pear cider that's made from 100% pear", which is a well-known advertising slogan for a pear cider but, in Stewart's hands, becomes so much more, including Stu having a nervous breakdown on stage!
The "There's no point leaving now madam' moment was just brilliant.
@@Seafarer-Ade Don't spoil it for him lol
I'm thinking KB should watch the advert first, then the bit
@@Seafarer-Ade My fave is the UB40/Rat in the kitchen reference...among others
As hilarious as that routine is, I think there are too many British pop culture references in it. Well, one for about half an hour anyway.
Please do Stewart Lee on Princess Diana and how the country reacted
Stuart Lee is my favourite, easily
Stewart Lee - Wife is a great one too
I love Clarksons stupid offensive opinions 🤣
I like offensive comedy. Top Gear is not comedy.
Who doesn’t and top gear is incredibly funny
You Know I Got Soul
Stewart Lee is from near me, and this is my favourite rant of his by miles. It's hilarious 😂
"Stewart Lee has let himself go"
He's hilarious 🤣
stewart lee coming over here this a good video
I think you'd really love watching one of his whole stage shows, they're beautifully written and constructed, he does a piece about being on holiday in a bar when 9/11 happened, and the whole aftermath of his story revolves around him unifying a culturally diverse group of people with a fart, so funny, he also did a BBC series where he just films 30 min segments of stand-up, that's brilliant, the liberal Intelligentsia thing is a bit of stage persona which he relies on heavily to upset a lot of the British press, for his own amusement it seems most of the time, it certainly hasn't done his career any favours, which I always think is a feather in his cap, he stands by what he does and continues to carve a career even though it could so easily backfire on him, he's rarely on mainstream tv, panel shows and such like other comics of his generation.
Hell yeah man. I'd love to join ya if I can for the watch along
The line about Gordon Brown not crossing his T's in the letter due to his poor sight is very revealing of British right wing politics. Brown was absolutely destroyed in the British newspapers for this oversight and made out to be a villain. The majority of newspapers in the UK are owned by billionaires who support the right wing political party, The Conservatives.
Wow Richard Hamster Hammond crashed at 102 mph amazing he survived my goodness I was so shocked StewartLee saying this he’s so good at winding people up love Stewart Lee
Lee on top form is probably the greatest stand up alive today.
Incidentally you should watch his recent routine about going on before Dave Chapelle . . . It will blow you away.
I’ve wished the worst for the big troll Clarkeson for years….only joking!
Stuart lee is a one man army
