I switched from Xfinity to AT&T Fiber three weeks ago for several reasons. Xfinity increase the service cost for 300Mbps down load speeds when on average my max speed was 150-165Mbps. Two year ago, I started experiencing weekly/biweekly internet interruptions. Now I am paying on average $25 less for 300+Mbps, average latency of 2ms , no data cap and no internet downtime so far.

Had XFINITY Gig internet for 3 years and never had a issue other than the upload speeds. Gaming wise it was good however I would still lag here and there but not often enough for it to make a difference. Switching to Fiber just cause of the amazing positives I’ve heard plus who doesn’t want more for the same price they pay

I have the Asus GT-AX11000 connected to a Netgear CM1200 with Xfinity with 1GB internet speed, I get around 605-685, Am thinking of switching to Att they have a great combo deal with my direct Tv, Even though Att offer Fiber am force to use there in house modem router combo, Even if i do a bridge am still afraid my Asus AX11000 will suffer from low speeds.
Ahhhh which internet to get... Me it is either satellite internet or dial up... Must be rough having to choose fiber or no fiber..
Use a wireless mesh network for best wifi speeds. Also separate 2ghz and 5ghz and choose 5ghz.

I switched from Comcast to AT&T and the speed is fast and more stable but the audio sounds worse, I feel like they are using compressed audio cause it sounds very tinny compared to Comcast, have you noticed this?

I have an older pc . I just got the optic fiber and my speed test is at 54 and it should be 100m .If i connect it via ethernet will that solve my issue >? TIA

Yes, if you are living on the west coast, there is only AT&T for fiber. If you are living on the east coast, get FiOS. They are both low latency high speed fiber connections
We’re you using the ATT modem/router for WiFi speed tests, or were you bypassing the device to allow for your own wifi router?

I'm in oakland and thinking of switching to ATT Fiber from Xfinity. First year pricing doesn't compare to choose xfinity gigabit, but after that I'm worried it will even out, but upload speeds are incomparable. How was your bill able to go down after the first year? Usually it's cheapest in the first year or were you able to negotiate? Also, how is ATT's customer support and required modem/router gateway? Thanks for uploading this!

@@anthonyz7023 I did for almost a full year, was great and cost me $60/month with gear included. But then 10GBps fiber came in my area for $40/month from local Sonic, so switched to that. Best of luck, can't go wrong with fiber, but definitely don't stay with xfinitiy!
I'm paying Xfinity $60 for 600mb down and 15mb on speed test I get around 720mb down and around 20mb up
What is killing me is the extra $50 for unlimited bandwidth. For $90/month with ATT I'll be getting much faster speeds and unlimited bandwidth, so what Xfinity would charge me without unlimited bandwidth. Plus, I'd get HBO Max which I already pay $15/month for. It just makes more sense especially since Xfinity doesn't seem to care that I am not satisfied with their services.

@@bprosperie I switched, the savings are a lot and the internet is much better. I feared it would not be reliable but it have had no outages so far.

still payin $70 for 100 here on charter and its total BS while other services get 300 for same price. We have no other provider here though so we get screwed. Thx Charter

YES! My brother has comcast they suck. They wanted to charge him 5.99 to talk to a sales rep on the weekend...like wtf?
@@drewtalks Yeah, they suck in that regard. Same way they charge you if a technician has to come to your house to troubleshoot. I wish I had fiber like you. The only option for AT&T is their bullshit broadband which costs more than Comcast and has slower speeds.
They added Fiber in my area a few months back. I have been thinking about this for a while but since I had a negative experience with U Verse I was reluctant. However, Comcast will not negotiate my bill because they know I need unlimited bandwidth and they just propose I stop paying for it.
Use verizon instead.

I decided to go with AT&T since my Xfinity contract was expiring and their customer service representatives didn’t care. I get AT&T installed this weekend

I'm looking to switch Xfinity WiFi is constantly down. Been like this for a couple months will have weeks of perfectection then weeks when its down 80 percent of the time. It cut out during an online job interview and I'm done. Was on there 500 mb down home bundle. Hope you have better luck than me.
I have 400 mbps speeds and they're okay but upload speeds suck and they charge too much for unlimited bandwidth.

I've never had anything other than At&t for my internet. It's not perfect, but I've never thought of switching to anything else. U leaving Xfinity says a lot.

Lol, I've had xfinity 1gb for over a year now and download speeds average around 930 but upload speeds are like 40 which sucks. But it's not fiber. My question to you is why in the world are you comparing cable with fiber????? Of course fiber wins hands down. And that doesn't mean comcast is bad. They're internet is fine and customer service is great, i don't know what 5 dollars you're smoking but you're smoking something.
They too fucking enxpensive att fiber is currently 39.99! Im payinh 132 for 600mbps voice and tv included one of their best offers and internet its not even unlimited att is! if you want unlimited with xfinity is an extra 25

Jigen i would get att fiber, google fiber, verizon fiber or century link fiber.... but none are available where i live. And i live only 25 miles from Chicago. They’re moving really slow with this fiber thing but i also won’t move any closer to the city. So I’ll wait.

@@alexmayer8943 yea I’m not gonna wait though been waiting since June my patience ran out so I’m cancelling my contract with att and switching to Xfinity 1 gig cuz 50mbps for $60 ain’t worth it for me at all WiFi even goes out at times! Xfinity 1gig only $100, I didn’t have issues with their 100 mbps so I’m most definitely not gonna have issues with 1 gig can’t wait till next week to switch.
This is my exact situation in which I’m watching videos and reading reviews regarding my exit from Comcast. My father paid them the monthly bill with a money order and I don’t fully understand what occurred but a couple days later the Internet was shut down. When he went in to inquire why, he was told that the money order didn’t clear at the bank? Huh? Yeah I’m baffled, my dad even had the receipt from Comcast that showed paid…. The story is much longer but that combined with cost and the conversation I had with a Comcast rep has lead me to choose to ditch Comcast
