Love my Gazelle. I've had alot of different tents and this one is my favorite. I second the diesel heater comment. I used mine in 12 degree weather in my tent and I slept in shorts and a t-shirt. Highly recommended!
Good one Kevin, It's nice to see you and Ashley (+ pups) on another adventure. I like the bright night time laps sequence and the cave walk walk was awesome. The Gazelle looks like a practical shelter given your style of overlanding. Pros and cons of hauling gear and setting up but I can see major advantages to being untethered. We've done a ton of fun back country tent camping. The real challenge is doing it year round. We didn't mind the cold so much but when the wind is howling and the rain is coming in sideways it's tough to manage. I noticed your rig is looking strapped for space. Something that worked well for us was attaching weatherproof boxes to our roof rack. We have one on each side accessible by standing on the tires. They still leave us with plenty of room on the rack for hauling toys, chairs, and extra fuel and water... We often strap down a 3rd box for extended trips. We try to keep it light and handy for setting on the ground as a table (and for C of G). That's a big reason why RTT's don't make sense to me; loosing all that cargo space just to haul a tent and some bedding. Keep up the great work.
Thanks bud I really like the tent and on our next trip we encountered heavy winds and I staked it down more and it faired very well but without straps it did push in on us but wind was in the 40mph range so kinda expected it. The main Issue with wind came with our cooking lol I had to put the stove in the Jeep to get away from wind as I didn’t want to cook bacon in the tent lol. I do plan to add a rack possibly in future but definitely going to do a drawer system that I build myself and those boxes are definitely on the list if we get a rack. I also watch my cg as I do go crawling I really like the Ursa Minor as it doesn’t sacrifice the rooftop storage and gives you access from in the Jeep
Love my gazelle t3x overland edition tent so much that i bought 9 more so each member of my club sleeps in style and don't have to worry about getting wet during a storm, actually got mine up in 46 seconds yesterday lol , i actually use a disco bed bunk bed cot in mine with a solar panel and Jackery power station so I've got power for a fan and my mini Projector lol 😂,yeah seriously i camp comfortable lol
My wife Ashley said she really appreciates the kind words. That is all her I’m not great at the music stuff and tend to forget the night lapse stuff too lol.
Hey Kevin! Glad to see y'all back at it in San Diego. Maybe we can go out again in the near future. Quick suggestion about heating your tent, maybe look into a diesel heater. Dryer heat without the wet heat produced by the propane from the Buddy Heater. Food for thought. Hope to see y'all again.
Great video guys. Fellow keeper here who just purchased the T4 plus. Looking to take it out to Octillio this summer. Look forward to seeing you on the trails. Are you a member of San Diego Jeep Club
I really agonized over the Gazelle but in the end I went another direction because I hate those kind of doors on my hunting blinds and I want my tent in 5 foot - 60 inch bed of my Gladiator and I’m worried about the T4 being too big. Thanks for sharing #JTRSPARTACUS
Just got finished watching your channel. The gazelle tent is what I was told to get next time we go camping. It looked pretty easy setting it up. Btw, what part of Alabama you from?
@@R8rRenit was in the video. He set up the tent first, then pulled out the ground sheet and moved the tent on top. It was pretty quick part of the video though, so easy to miss.
That was harrowing! Go Daisy! 🌼

Thanks for the advice and I think we are gonna love this tent
Hafa Adai from Guam via VA Beach! Great video. Wife and I are researching this tent so your review was pretty helpful.
Glad to help
Hafa adai!!! Love the shirt!! Lol
Thanks wife was in Guam on deployment

Hafa Adai! Nice shirt sir! I grew up in Guam and been thinking of purchasing this tent.
Thanks my wife got me the shirt while she was there on deployment and we live this tent
@@GrayLineOverland Sweet!
Y’all look like some nice folks. Thanks for the vid. Thinking of ordering the tent.
Be well!
Thank you so much glad you liked the video and the tent is really great.
Love your opening soundtrack! So, so much better than what’s usually in Jeep videos.
And your nighttime time-lapse was beautiful!

Awesome thanks for info I will check it out. How is your build coming text me some pictures.
@@GrayLineOverland just sent some video. Build is coming along very well. Few more projects and she will be at her ideal setup.

We aren’t in cali anymore just moved back to Alabama 3 weeks ago

It is a long one but I think with a slight turn it wouldn’t have a problem but yes it is big for sure and I understand you apprehension.
Looking for reviews on this tent and hafa adai!
One thing to note and this is the only real down side is that it is long packed down but other than that it’s awesome, best tent I have owned
@@GrayLineOverland it should be fine in the back of the truck.

I’m from Gadsden area Southside specifically if you know the area. Thanks for watching and we love the t4
@@GrayLineOverland Nice, I believe I know that area. Thank you for making a video about the tent, it helped a lot.
Are you from Alabama if so where
@@GrayLineOverland I grew up in mobile, but I’ve been in San Francisco for last 35 years. I do miss the south.
I am going back to Alabama in 10 months I can’t wait
No way my Milliards tri fold 6" queen foam mattress will fit in that tiny door 😢
Yeah probably not unless it folds down pretty reasonable but door is bigger than it looks
Maybe try the big house from Big Agnes
ground sheet?
Not sure what you’re saying
@@GrayLineOverland the overland edition is supposed to come with a ground sheet, or tarp if you will, for under the tent.
@@R8rRen yes it came with one. It came with everything you need it is awesome
