I just picked up a lightly used one of these for $5K from a friend. My Jeep XJ tows it easily and it’s great for everything from Costco runs to beach day trips to off grid camping. I’m really happy with it so far.
I like your video as you go around many issues related to off-roading such as the undercarriage and axle. I did not find any other videos like this. Thanks for this as I am looking at maybe purchasing this trailer.
Nice summary. One small correction. There are two other interior lights in the storage area behind the cargo net that can be switched from white to blue which works well at night.
I’ve pull one behind our Raptor. It’s gone everywhere the truck has gone. These are amazing blank canvases for customization. I have a short vid that gives a good example of how far you can trick one out.
Did I hear that correct? $11k base, double that to add the rack, 270°, destination (stupid price of $2k+, car delivered for $725 in March 2023 California to Alabama).
Yeah things in California got crazy for a while. They were getting people at every turn. It did have lots of other stuff but it was still too high but at that time it was the cheapest out there. Now these things have dropped and you can def get them more reasonably priced but at the time everything was super high
Great review of the trailer , not sure why every single thing was compared to “The Beam” kinda took away from your review . No doubt in-tech is heading the correct direction .
We had a Bean so a lot of our viewers relate to the bean references as I pulled it thousands of miles on and off-road and in some seriously intense off-road situations so that’s the benchmark we judge by. Thanks for watching hope to hear from you again please always feel free to leave a comment as I usually answer every one of them and if you have any questions let me know
@@GrayLineOverland oh absolutely I am just getting Into the overland / mini camp lifestyle so I’m just trying to find the best bang for the buck but truly want something that in the elements we have solid shelter no just a tent . Hope your having a-great day .
@@10ectaco10 that’s sad to hear. I feel like a lot of companies are using this as a reason to jack up prices and we will not see the prices go back down again once this is over unless we stop buying this overpriced stuff they keep putting out. Technology and manufacturing gets cheaper to make and prices keep going up.
Darn the inflation has gone outrageous on all trailers....but its going down a little.A free word of advice to Intech...your base is good old boys ..many capable of building their own....so you don't wanna follow the mainstream travel trailer bunch and price yourself out.
Too many recommended options and mods, none of which I would do. This is not for off-roading but for many like I who would rather sleep in a trailer than my SUV. And who needs running water? Buy a six pack and some sodas and you are all set! If you want something bigger, then get it. When you need to take a shower, go to a hotel or gym. This is also perfect for those who want to do a long trip and skip an occasional hotel along the way. Also, having the attached but distant stove (and cooler) is brilliant and will save me the hassle of lugging around my little stove (and is very easy to clean and will not dirty up the interior) and cooler. It's on my list and my dogs will love it. Further, it has no toilet, the best part because 1), I'm not cleaning or dumping it and, 2), I can use a public toilet when needed. And finally, the wrap around awning sounds good in theory but from other videos, might break because of all of the moving parts; thus, only one shaded area is needed. Remember, this is not designed to be more than what the poster seems to require for his needs.
Yeah my wife says same thing lol she wants a second door but axle wise I feel it may work because the heavy axles tend to bounce a lot more so I’m curious how it would do and it’s all according to how heavy the setup is and if you really need more a le
I really like turtleback and a few others but the Kong looks like you get a lot for the money, that and the bushwhacker but that one has a few things that need attention but for the price and what you get it’s pretty great. It will be a while before we purchase as we definitely want to try out a lot of trailers before we make a decision.
@@GrayLineOverland last year I actually bought a intek fiyer Chase it's pretty much the same model you reviewed without the kitchen I bought it to tow behind my motorhome and my kids sleep in that but I think I'm going to pull the trigger I have to sell my boat but I'm going to get me an expedition 2.0 fully loaded they're pushing $55,000 but they're a tank

The intec is a great place to start I suggest the base model then upgrade yourself
Nice video! Liked and subbed!
Back at you subbed as well
Looks like a cool trailer
Yeah it is crazy how expensive all the trailers are getting. I remember looking at it pre COVID and it was way cheaper but now market has gone crazy
@@GrayLineOverland and quality has gone down trying to keep up with demand.

Only 1 door is inexcusable. I wouldn’t trust a 2200 axle on really rough terrain

Bean trailers are overpriced they look pretty from the outside but inside they're not built real well I speak from experience
They are pricey for sure and my trailer had quality issues as well
