This is one of the best, direct and comprehensive color theory and applications I have seen. 👏🏾 Thank you for explaining Hue, Value and Temperature. I am new to painting and it has been difficult to get all of this straight.
This is very informational for introductory students of color. However, the word is “complementary,” something that completes, not complimentary, which means something nice about a situation.
So carefully organized and clear. I like how you explain the color choices in the paintings from master artists. It helps make the colors jump out of the famous paintings rather than only seeing the subject.
VERY impressive, Dena! Really sophisticated visuals and beautifully presented. I learned a lot! This clearly took a lot of time and thought to pull together. You should be proud. Really fascinating! Much hatzlacha with this project. And you look beautiful!
Thanks you for that very comprehensive overview of quite a complicated and potentially confusing subject. It’d be quite useful to have a pdf cheat sheet with all of the concepts illustrated.
I’d seen colour wheels before but had no understanding of tints, hues or the different combinations. The examples from art works really drove the point home very well.
Brilliant!! Well paced, very clear information, thought provoking and educational. In a few minutes you have managed to explain what takes many several hours! Looking fw to seeing more! Hatzlacha!
Great video and editing! I so miss your classes. This is a great alternative:) I love how you bring in paintings from the masters and explain the history behind them. And your voice is perfect for teaching😊 Can't wait for more videos!
As more of a beginner, this puts together plenty of complex color theories into clear and practical understanding. The examples used of each of the theories are spectacular. For ages we have been presented with famous painting and now your explanations bring a much deeper appreciation of what make them popular. I may not become a popular artist but I definitely have a much greater appreciation of the art. Especially seeing your own amazing artwork. I look forward to seeing more of you work. Well worth buying an art course - do you have online courses? THANKS SO MUCH
Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I am so glad you enjoyed this and learned something. I am in the process of creating my first art course online, feel free to email me for info! DenaArt@gmail.com
