For me it's simple.. If I am AFKing during work it's NMZ tucked up in a corner, if I'm actively at the computer then I will go naguas. They are stupid amazing experience, and it's not even close.
I haven't verified it with sulphur blades and the glacial temotli but the dual macuahuitl will allow you to get xp from phantom hits. If a nagua has 25 hp left and both of your hits with the macuahuitl deal 25 damage you'll get the xp as if you hit 50 damage
I think it would be worth while showing the non dharok afk absorption method due to it being such a lower cost and generally more AFK than dharoks. Maybe also obsidian in NMZ for such a cheap setup getting such good xp
You mean in the background footage? I did mention non dharok methods but showed Dharok's just because it's the most popular nmz method. Thanks for watching!!
nmz the goat for afk and where ill likely be doing majority of my training but naguas are lowkey amazing . im getting like 140-150k xp ph with bloodmoon and dual macaronis. definitely where im going if i wanna speed up my gains abit
I am really bad about forgetting to check periodically when I AFK and frequently die when AFKing at naguas, BUT because of the gear I bring its actually cheaper to accidentally die at naguas than in NMZ. My gravestone fee is less than 5k so I’d have to die 5 times at naguas to equal one NMZ trip and that’s really not that bad lol.
That's true but then you have to deal with more inconvenience by running back all those times. At the end it's all about personal preference but I wanted to highlight both methods!
@@twistedbowrs oh its terrible, but I frequently sign back in to my character staring at dominic onion when I AFK NMZ so it’s really just a problem with me AFKing too hard 🤣 then I have to calculate: if the best I can do is log in once an hour, get aggro, and then AFK till I die, which one is more cost effective from a gp/xp standpoint? I’m firmly in the suboptimal camp over here 🥲
you should always use hard Mode at NMZ as the bosses have the same def but more HP. Normal is only used if you're afknig with Guthans without any absorb or prayer potions
You can but naguas have a +200 Ranged defense bonus, so if safespotting with range is your priority then it might work. But keep in mind that your exp rate will be cratered because of this unless you have high end gear.
U always want to do hardmode in nmz. The difference between normal and hard are x2 hp attck str and mage NOT DEFENCE. So if ut doing dharok u can 1 hit monsters in normal but much harder in hardmode
sulphur naguas give the best combat xp per hour. Still you need to do 200 hours to get your 3 99's. at 300k gp/h that is still 60 mill for getting 99 in you combat skill and it's pretty afk.
not sure why you have such a dislike for blood moon at nagua when its one of the best sets to use there. thats like saying youd rather wear sunfire helm over slayer helm on task because of the prayer bonus lol.
I don't dislike it lol it's just that you'll be needing to restock your potions far too often. It's good at nmz but at naguas it makes afking a lot tougher.
you should probably mention that the dharok setup is only better at around 92hp or so, since it scales with how much hp you have. Otherwise you should just use your best melee gear
@@twistedbowrsi think people get too hung up on the HP cut off. Below 92 HP DH isn’t BiS, but you’re more likely to use your DH set in other parts of the game than full obby with the obby sword so for a mid game player whos hurting for GP I’d probably just get DH anyway and then you have tank gear for other PvM when you’re not training. I’m not sure it’s worth keeping ~6m of your bank value in an obby set just for training when the DPS difference is
If you plan on doing NMZ afk do NOT do normal difficulty. I get 80k xp/h on average in hard mode and only 40k in normal mode. I end up killing everything too fast since they have very little health compared to the hard mode versions so I just end up standing around waiting for the next mobs to spawn. Normal mode is a waste just do hard mode, more xp and more points
Forgot to mention, you need 48 Slayer and Perilous Moons partially done for Naguas.
For me it's simple.. If I am AFKing during work it's NMZ tucked up in a corner, if I'm actively at the computer then I will go naguas. They are stupid amazing experience, and it's not even close.
That sounds about right tbh
ngl i was waiting for this video! thank you so much brother!
No problem! Hope it was useful in some way!
Great Vid! i didnt realize that sulphur naguas was a solid training method like this! i think i still prefer NMZ just because of how AFK it is.
Ya the afk in NMZ is unmatched, of course people's preferences will vary. Thanks for watching!!

They do it with the sulphur blades, the glacial temotlis and the dual macuahuitl. I've had 200+ xp drops for hitting somthing like a 10.
Yup! That's why the xp rates with it are insane!

Dual Macaronis is diabolical lmao. But that exp is absolutely worth it imo!
what are your stats for getting 140k xp at naguas? im 76atk / 79 str / 75 def and only getting 86k xp/hr at nmz in full obby /:
He's probably in the mid or high 90s
Great video!
Thanks!!
I’m wondering how this compares to XP rates at Scurrius 🤔
It could be something to look at with Guthan's!

Bro don't worry I don't even play for optimal efficiency haha. As long as you don't burn yourself out that's all that matters
Can you compare with The rat boss in varrock?
Scurrious vs NMZ?
@@twistedbowrs yea
I'll add it to the list!
you should always use hard Mode at NMZ as the bosses have the same def but more HP. Normal is only used if you're afknig with Guthans without any absorb or prayer potions
I'll have to try out hard mode since it's been a while. But I've had better dps on normal mode but maybe I'm tripping.
@@twistedbowrs they have a little less hp so over all it ends up being less xp an hour :p but they hit less so absorbs last longer too
Maybe that's where I got mixed up, appreciate it!

You are correct
What does afk stand for sorry
Away from keyboard
should try xp comparison with scurrious
If I can find a new training spot to compare it with I might do it!
Is there some requirement to enter naguas area so i could instantly train?
Ya in the vid I forgot to mention it but I pinned a comment. You need 48 slayer to partially complete the Perilous Moons quest.
@@twistedbowrs sorry haven't noticed the comment, thank you for the reply tho! :)
Of course, enjoy the grind!
Full bloodmoon vs str setup w/ macuahuitl at sulphur naguas
Honestly with the increased restocking of moonlight potions with blood moon, the xp won't be so significantly different imo.

Definitely the best all around melee combat training place. It might not be as afk as the nmz but the xp is great and you make more money.
