absolutely love that i stumbled across your videos. a lot of these pay or stay videos have been very 1. cool to learn about and 2. very insightful as i build my account. thanks brother! subbed
I bought one of these to train my pure up, ended up deciding to keep it after I was done training the account because of how useful it has been for many other things.
Another thing to consider with the venator bow is do you use it to train slayer? This bow turns lots of OK tasks into great tasks, drastically speeding up slayer xp per hour and making it much easier to skip less tasks. For example, at bloodvelds with a cannon in meiyerditch labs I got over 200k range xp per hour. At araxytes it was 247k and over 100k slayer xp an hour. Considering it's low maintenence costs, it is a no brainer if you are training range, but even more so if you are training range AND slayer.
Yes! It's great for multi combat tasks like abyssal demons and bloodvelds. I picked NMZ to avoid as much confounding variables as possible. Thanks for watching!!
Great comparison. The venator bow is definitely one of my favorites these days. Thankfully I was able to get mine 100% from Phantom Muspah. I wasn't expecting you to recommend paying out for it, since the MSBi is so cheap, but those xp numbers dont lie! 45hrs saved to 99 is huge. Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks man! It might not be the best comparison because the runite bolts have higher ranged strength and are nearly half the cost of diamond bolts e. I think the enchanted bolts are better used in bossing or pvm over training.
Vbow is only extremely good for one thing: Economical Range training at Catacombs Dust Devils. I used this method the get 99 range from 80, and gained about 40m profit. I then sold the Vbow when I hit 99 ranged. Honorable mention, Vbow is also very helpful when fighting the whisperer, and a must if it's the awakened Whisperer.
I knew the difference was gonna be big, but I had no idea it would be THAT big. Magic Shortbow (i) is mainly for situations where multi target is absolutely useless anyways. However, it can also be a good substitute for training at something like spectres until you can afford the Venator Bow. Despite this, the Venator Bow is actually able to perform better strength-wise than the Magic Shortbow without the need to use any essence, making it an effective weapon against both single and multi targets when weapons like the Bowfa and Twisted Bow aren't present. The only con I'd say there is with this bow is that it has 1 less tile of range, rendering you more vulnerable in places like the Fight Caves or Inferno where you'd typically use a bow / crossbow to keep yourself out of range of a special, magic or ranged attack.
Ya the range can be an issue in certain external cases, but I definitely agree that the MSB still has a lot of pull, mainly due to its low cost. I never thought about the non charged venator bow, but given the low cost to charge it, it seems like a no-brainer, especially in the NMZ. Thanks for watching!!
Oh damn, i had no idea. Hardmode had that much impact. Thank you for the reply, do you think venitor bow would be good at fight caves ? Especially the healer phase of jad? I was thinking og going through the caves with this bow, Or chinns to lure the healers
Someone actually mentioned in the comments that the venator might not be good in the caves because of its reduced range. Maybe chinning would be better? Although I've never done either.
I was trying to do muspah recently and the kills are so slow with just range despite 91 range and elite void. Just said screw it and went back to vorkath. Really wanted to try to get some venator shards
Vorkath has a good earnings floor, but muspah can get you much more loot if you get lucky. Definitely worth going back if you'd like since a single shard is 17M GP rn.
Idk i wrote here. Prob just phone blah. My prob was too much damage and the smite shield. A lot of mechanics for less gp an hour. I think muspah is better for account progression which is why I was giving it an honest effort but after trying to get a tecu salamander kill a few times with mage and range not barely.getting it to 30% i assumed i need at.least 94 in range and mage before I do the boss. A lot of zeros despite using its weakness to x combat. A lot of zeros.
You didn't mention that the V bow can be simply sold after you're done and you'd get back all your money minus the charges. this would massively bring down the gp/xp rate and make the V bow an obvious choice
I don't include the sell back in my calculations. This mainly informs people whether or not it's worth going through the trouble of spending this much money to train range.
@ just regular addy darts with a book set or something affordable shield please, is it worth to just use adamant darts over msb i since its so cheap for addy darts
Lets go, baby!
Yes sir!!

I'm glad I could help you develop your account! Thanks for subbing!!

One of the best investments in terms of weapons

Normally I wouldn't say to shell out nearly 9 figures for a weapon. But saving nearly 50 hours is definitely an exception. Thanks for watching Geoff!
great video! i didnt realize how good the venator bow is!
Thanks! It's the highest exp weapon I've ever tested I believe for this series!
Thanks! Been thinking about a venator bow lately
I should've bought it when it was 26m in December
YOOO I was just thinking about the venator bow. Tyty
Thanks for watching!!
Hi TwistedBowRS, love your videos.
Would you consider doing Diamond bolts (e) vs Runite Bolts with the same crossbow?
Thanks man! It might not be the best comparison because the runite bolts have higher ranged strength and are nearly half the cost of diamond bolts e. I think the enchanted bolts are better used in bossing or pvm over training.
@@twistedbowrs Awesome thanks! I appreciate your insight.

That's some good advice!

@@twistedbowrs You're welcome!
Im only getting, 120k xp with the ven bow, what’s your gear set up? @89 range
Full void, imbued archers ring, amethyst arrows, blessed dhide boots, fury. I also had 91 range and did hard mode not normal mode.

@@twistedbowrsthank you very much, love your channel. Il try it out tomorrow
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for price manipulating the ven bow so that my muspah profit is even higher
Split?
amazing!

From what I've heard, a Bofa is three ideal range weapon for Muspah, although I have next to no experience with it.
@twistedbowrs I just finished sote last weekend. I'm planning to so gauntlet for gp and hopefully get something next weekend.

Msb i vs darts?
Darts or blowpipe?
@ just regular addy darts with a book set or something affordable shield please, is it worth to just use adamant darts over msb i since its so cheap for addy darts
There might be a video in the future where I do a deep dive into darts and knives, maybe that might be of use?
@ that will be! Since you have videos of msb already
Ya if you'd like you can cross reference my ranged videos for now to get an idea :)
Emessbeeaye
Lol
Time save isn't really significant at all when you can just spend like 20 to 40 mil on chins and be done in less than 20 hours 91-99
I mean I'm doing a chins vid later so we'll see
