How to still lose weight despite the weekends!!

    I really hope this helps anyone who finds the weekend really tricky to navigate but still wants to lose weight.

    Thanks for this Nikki - timing is perfect- I go away today for 9 days & usually go haywire on eating healthily. It has made me determined to track calories & plan my nightly g n’ t / healthy snacks into my plan. We have a motorhome so fortunately I can take all my food & drink with me - so will make sure I have loads of healthy options to balance any treats. Great video xx

    Brilliant video Nikki, thank you so much. It’s the weekends that have been ruining my losses. I go mad eating and drinking and then spend the week desperately trying to claw it back.. it actually becomes very stressful and pretty bad for my mental health.. so recently I started saving some syns for Saturday and I’m getting better weight loss.. working for me. You’re so inspirational and your videos and advice have been a huge help to me. 🙏🙏

    I’ve added fitness to my day by only allowing myself to watch you tube videos (such as yours) while on the exercise bike or treadmill at home. It’s really made a difference to getting more active instead of being sat on the sofa 🙈

    Great video. I’ve just completed the transformation with Ben, I feel amazing. I’ve got such a good balance. I bank calories for the weekend. Weekends have always been my weakness so I have to plan. I use some on a Friday evening, I use the rest either Saturday or Sunday. I train 5 times a week and feel so happy, this definitely works for me xx

    Great video Nikki! This is something I relate to so much! I lost quite some weight in the final lockdown and was so worried about returning back to normal going out every weekend but I’ve found eating really well and balanced in the week but still not restricting myself has allowed me to maintain my weight. I also find as you said filling up on a big healthy breakfast/ lunch at home before going out drinking really helps - stops them sneaky bar snacks becoming as tempting 😂Xx

    Brilliant video, definitely needed, so football making two SW quiches, SW chips, and a 1 syn swiss roll from the mad scots lass (UA-cam) to share with friends, then I'm free to enjoy the prosecco. Really encouraged by your video. Thanks

    I used to struggle with weekends but don't know how I seem to manage them, now I need to manage the night after weigh in. 😂😂

    Great video. I’ve just done the transformation with Ben, it was amazing. I bank calories for the weekend. I use some on a Friday night (pub night) and pick 1 other day, either a Saturday or a Sunday. The other day i use my full calories for the day which is still plenty. Works really well for me. I train 5 times a week and I feel like I have a good balance. Xx

    Fantastic video thank you. Never really understood flexible syns. I wanted to ask with the flexible syns with your example being having 50 on a Friday would I then have to male sure I deduct that 50 from the rest of the week? Or just be ok with having that 50 extra? Hope that’s makes sense thank you 😊

    Fantastic video 😀..i think alot of people wil benifit frm this ..lots r strugglin with various plans this last wile..i think the whole lockdwn n then everything gettin bk 2 normal..am a beer monster n its has 2 b pints 🙈lol....mc donalds is i can safely say i detest total waste of cals.😜am on a maintain journey n have manage 2 stay on target 4 2 years nw ..ive got my balance if i want the cake ill have it but then im mindful the rest of the day r the next day ..everything in moderation 💕💕🥰🥰

    I need to practice what I preach here (😆).... but I think once you realise you can have just as good a weekend when you make a fake away or when you go out for a family walk or bike ride to get exercise then it all kind of clicks doesnt it?! Like a fun weekend doesn't HAVE to consist of 100000's of calories to be enjoyable. There's always gonna be special occasions but that's life! Xxxx

    I'm the opposite. I drink more water and eat better on weekends. During the week I work long hours, juggle my children and family life and I'm so tired that I will pick up a chocolate bar, takeaway lunch etc.

    Wine is probably my downfall. I even have a qualification in wine tasting (a real exam, not just because I drink so much 😂) and it’s a big hobby of mine. Also in my head, a good meal is not complete without a glass of wine. During the first 6 months of starting SW again last year, I was really good about not drinking during the week and it was absolutely fine. Now I think all of these lockdowns and associated stress have just taken a huge toll on my mental health and I’m in a place where I can’t really think straight at the moment. Let’s say I know exactly what I have to do, and how to do it, but I need to get my head sorted first 😀. Have a great weekend and enjoy the football! xxx

    This what I did runied it Friday I had few bottle wine , I need get bk on it, thank you for sharing, I have 1,000 carloies a day I eat and drunk few bottles wine and had loads fruit and salad , but my scales saying I put on, I do count caroirles I find it hard some time , I lose 1 stone in 7 weeks go slimmimg of the no the month , but now I had few bottle wine it getting bk on track as I keep needing sugar

      Hey hun 1000 calories a day is less than what a toddler would have. The danger here is you’re feeling deprived them have a binge. Can you adjust them as per the video just slightly? X

    Where/how did you train to learn and become qualified to able to give advice on health/nutrition etc? I’d love to do the same and help others.

      She's not qualified but I suspect you know this and that's why you've commented. If you genuinely want to pursue a career in it then I'm sure you'll be able to Google it, there are lots of courses out there

      Why would I ask if I thought that? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Even if she’s not I’m sure she’d be happy to advise how she became knowledgable, she seems happy to reply to comments, I’m sure she doesn’t need someone wading in being rude. Sad you can’t even ask a question without a troll making a sarcastic comment 🙄

I'm not rude or a troll I've supported nikkis channel for ages I think she's great, I'm a tad confused how me saying there are lots of courses out there if you Google it comes across as rude anyway to be honest but apologise if you feel that way.

      I give out free advice based on my 20 years experience as a slimmer and my 15 years working for Slimming world as a Gold Consultant and Manager. I’ve done various diplomas with sw, they have one of the UKS leading nutritionists and she is absolutely amazing! I’ve helped thousands and thousands of people to achieve fantastic weight losses and change habits. I’ve also educated myself on the subject. I am choosing not to do a nutrition qualification as I don’t want to be a nutritionist. I believe it’s more about changing habits and mindsets personally and that’s what I love to help people with.

    I normally love your videos Nicola, but this is so opposite to what you post on Instagram, that it’s confusing.
    I love your honesty on Instagram and you post every Monday about you drawing the line for a new week, so why do advice videos for other people on what you actually struggle with and don’t do yourself?
    I’m not attacking you with this comment, the content just doesn’t translate from one platform to another.
    Would love to see more real videos and if you’re struggling then that’s the content and you become more relatable and the community is able to see your journey.

      Also sorry just re reading this for the past 20 years I’ve been more or less at the same weight. When I say I’ve had a tricky week etc my focus isn’t always weight loss. I’m actually pretty happy as I am. When I lost my weight I had more of a drive then. When I did my fitness challenge I didn’t once slip up except for a planned break for my 40th and if I needed more calories for an event this is what I did. I’m not at the start of middle of my journey any more. I’m making this video for those that might be

      I completely agree - I posted something similar on an earlier video but unfortunately it just got deleted and never replied to. Which is a shame as I’ve loved Nikki’s content for a long time and it’s helped a lot over the years. But it comes across as disingenuous now as she doesn’t appear to practice what she preaches on Insta 🤷🏻‍♀️ xx
