In this post we are learn about the Ayyappa swamy Arupadai Veedu temples. When we think of Arupadai house, Lord Muruga comes to our mind. But even Ayyappan who resides at Sabarimala has sixty houses. They are called: Ariankavu, Achankovil, Kulathupuzha, Erumeli, Pandalam, Sabarimalai.
1)Achankovil is located in Pathanapuram circle in Kollam district of Kerala. It is one of the five temples founded by Parasurama. This temple is situated in a dense forest. Among the temples of Shasta, Achan Kovil is the most famous temple next to Sabarimala temple.
All the temples dedicated to Parasurama Shasta have seen a change in the idol. But only in this temple, the idol remains unchanged and remains unchanged. Hence the statue of Shasta here is very ancient.
2)Aryankavu temple is located in Kollam district of Kerala state. Located on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Aryankavu is located in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu about 16 kilometers from Sengottai town. The word 'Aryan' means 'exalted one'. 'Kavu' means 'oasis'. The place was called 'Aryankavu' meaning 'Oasis of the High One' and later came to be known as 'Ariankavu'. It is one of the five Shasta temples built by Parasurama. The temple here is built with Kerala architecture. In the sanctum, Ayyappan is seated in a kingly form with his right leg down and his left leg slightly raised.
Lord Shiva is depicted in the form of a linga on the right and in a golam with Pushkala standing on the left. Here the Lord is shown sitting on an elephant taming the religious elephant in a kolam. This is why he has the name 'Madagaja Vahana Ruban'.
3)kulathupuzha Ayyappan temple is located on the banks of Kalladai river in kulathupuzha village in Pathanapuram taluk of Kollam district of Kerala state. Here, Ayyappan appears in the form of a child, so it is called Bala Sastha.
It is one of the important 108 Shasta temples in Kerala. The idol of Shasta here is said to have been consecrated by Parasurama. Ayyappan as Balan is the source of the Anagatha Chakra in the Body Chakra.
4)Erumeli is in Kottayam district of Kerala state. It is considered as the gateway to Sabarimala. This place was called Erumaikolli because Ayyappan killed the buffalo-headed Mahishi, and later came to be known as 'Erumeli'.
5)Pandalam is located in Adoor Circle, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala State.
Pandalam is the place where the palace where Ayyappan lived. Thus the city is celebrated as a holy place by Hindus.
There is a temple here built by Pandala King Rajasekaran. In the shrine at Pandalam, Lord Ayyappan is shown standing with a tiger. This temple is situated on the bank of river Achankoil. This is where all the Thiru Aparanas, which are worn during Makarvilakku Pooja to Sabarimala Ayyappan, are kept.
6)Sabarimala Sri Ayyappan Temple is dedicated to the worship of Lord Ayyappan. Ayyappan is the son of Shiva and Mohini. The temple is located in Pathanamthitta district in the Indian state of Kerala. Sabarimala is the place where Ayyappan sat in Tavakolam for the welfare of Kaliyuga people after destroying Mahishi.
Here Ayyappan is also called Dharmashastha. The Duvajasthambam welcomes the devotees past the eighteen steps. Tathwamasi is written on the entry door of Ayyappan shrine. Here Ayyappan is also known as Dharmashastha. He blesses the devotees who seek him. Lord Ayyappan with yoga mudra, seated with folded legs.
அறுபடை வீடு என்றாலே, நமக்கு முருகப்பெருமான் தான் நினைவுக்கு வருவார். ஆனால் சபரிமலையில் வீற்றிருக்கும் ஐயப்பனுக்கும் கூட அறுபடை வீடுகள் உள்ளன. அவை: ஆரியங்காவு, அச்சன்கோவில், குளத்துப்புழா, எருமேலி, பந்தளம், சபரிமலை என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன.
1)ஆரியங்காவு ஐயப்பன் ஆலயம்
கேரள மாநிலம் கொல்லம் மாவட்டத்தில் ஆரியங்காவு என்ற இடத்தில் உள்ளது.
2)அச்சன்கோவில் கேரளத்தின் கொல்லம் மாவட்டத்தில் பத்தனாபுரம் வட்டத்தில் உள்ளது.
பரசுராமர் நிறுவிய ஐந்து கோயில்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்று.
3)குளத்துப்புழா;
குளத்துப்புழை ஐயப்பன் கோவில் கேரள மாநிலத்தின் கொல்லம் மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள பத்தனாபுரம் தாலுக்காவில், குளத்துப்புழை எனும் சிற்றூரில் கல்லடை ஆற்றின் கரையோரம் அமைந்துள்ளது.
இங்கு ஐயப்பன் குழந்தை வடிவில் காட்சி தருவதால் பால சாஸ்தா என்று அழைக்கிறார்கள்.
4)எருமேலி கேரள மாநிலத்தின் கோட்டயம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ளது. இது சபரிமலையின் நுழைவுவாயிலாக கருதப்படுகிறது.
5)பந்தளம் கேரள மாநிலம் பத்தனம்திட்டா ‎மாவட்டம், அடூர் வட்டத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது. பந்தளம் என்பது ஐயப்பன் வாழ்ந்த அரண்மனை இருக்கும் இடமாகும்.
இதனால் இந்நகரமானது புனிதம் வாய்ந்த இடமாக இந்துக்களால் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
6)சபரிமலை கேரளாவிலுள்ள மேற்கு ‎மலைத்தொடர்களில் பத்தனம்திட்டாமாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது.
இவ்வாலயம் கடல் மட்டத்திலிருந்து 1535 அடி உயரத்தில், அடர்ந்த வனப் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ளது. பதினெட்டு மலைகளுக்கு இடையே சபரிமலை அய்யப்பன் ஆலயம் அமைந்துள்ளது.
இங்கு தர்மசாஸ்தா ஐயப்பன் என அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.
