- THIS VIDEO IS THE START OF A BRAND NEW SERIES OF MINE CALLED CHOOSE YOUR HAND. Basically, the premise is I take particular weapons, items, skills, abilities, or powers and pit them against each other. Comparing, contrasting, analyzing and picking apart each one just to figure out which one I feel like is the superior Hand and which one I would personally choose whether I think it's superior or not.
I'd appreciate all the love and support for both of these game series' of Xenoblade Chronicles and The Legend of Zelda to run through these videos and make them pop off so I can give you guys more ASAP.
Let me know in the comments what you guys think, what Hand you would choose between the Monado and the Master Sword, and what Hands you want to see come up next! For reading the description, I'll give you a hint of what I'm thinking for the next installment. Either pitting the 4 Bending elements of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire from Avatar: the Last Airbender against each other, or doing Mega Man X's Ultimate Armor vs Pit's 3 Sacred Treasures from the Kid Icarus Series. I hate to be *that guy* but the Monado is said to be able to change form to fit the wielder's will so it could probably used as a close-ranged.
Plus Monado Speed Grants the user to evade any attack during a small period,Monado Buster (in it's game) originally is just one OP swing of the blade & Monado enchance is the one that boosts attack damage.
Otherwise great vid comparing two baddass weapons!
That is true, it could be used in close combat as well since it fits to the users will, good catch. And yea speed art does allow for good cqc attacking and evasion, and enchant I remember being the one that allows the other users to fight mechon and do a bit more damage but I remember buster being the primary damage outputter with the one big swing, mainly was putting them in an idea where the restraints of a battle system arent there ya know? But I really liked the comment, and really glad you enjoyed the video :]
I only found this vid because of the defenitive hype, and I don’t wanna ride that hype but the monado would win no doubt :P
ayyyy my man, glad you found your way here somehow, but yea even this long after making this video, I have no regrets in picking the Monado in this VS, its just too good of a weapon compared to the Master Sword

It’s funny that you posted this now because a Xenoblade UA-camr named Luxin’s 10k Special is coming in a few days and it’s going to be an imagined battle between the three protagonists of the Xenoblade games. So the Monado is going to have been pitted against other abilities in a crossover battle twice in the same week.
Oh I definitely have to check that video out when it drops, but I guess its really as they say, great minds think alike lmao

Nice video Meta! I loved how you explained about the different monados! Hell there is also Monado Smash! Although that is just used in Super Smash Bros series. I wish Xenoblade became it's own animé or a movie!
Glad you enjoyed the video! It was lots of fun to make too, and I'd also be on board for an animated series or even a movie for Xenoblade Chronicles, kinda like what they do with Persona you know? As long as they adapt it well of course lol
When zanza uses the monado to give the bionis a blade of pure light: does that count as monado enchant? 😂
Give the entirety of the bionis monado enchant at once so even the animals can wreck the mechons, LOOOL that sounds beautiful

You're totally right, and similarly only Link can use the Master Sword, but as mentioned this is under the pretense that circumstances such as "exclusive to specific users" like legendary heroes/chosen ones, are lifted.
Its not fair to compare those two. Everyone would pick the monado
See as a Xenoblade fanboy, there is no comparing the two, aint no way I'm picking the Master Sword over the Monado, it's just a much better and broken weapon LOL. But some people like the sleekness, simplicity, and still powerful sword that is the Master Sword without having to think too much ya know? Which I can understand, but I still wouldnt choose it personally lol
Now the catch is... the power of the master sword would vastly increase if the user of the Monado had an evil heart and evil intentions.
That's a good point, another variable, cause the Monado certainly don't care about pure or evil intentions🤔 But is that ENOUGH though is the question 🤔🤔
@@MetaSF_ I guess it depends on how evil the person is. If you’re evil, you can’t even touch it, let alone be stricken by it or hit by one of the blade beams. It also has the ability to nullify evil magic and repel it back. The main point of the master sword is to wield the power to repel evil. That’s why in a scenario I guess the hero wielding the Monado, It would basically be just building a relatively strong sword against him. But against a villain, one who draws power from evil, that’s an entirely different story
That's very true, and if you have the Master Sword anyway then you probably aren't gonna be going around just swingin it at people or killing anyways lol. But you're right it does feed heavy off of smiting evil, almost like lifesteal kinda. That's certainly a bonus factor

I can see the master sword getting power UP'S in the future
Absolutely, Zelda is already a series with some of the most deep lore and history ever made in gaming, I can see much expansion in the future
If you're not the chosen one, the Monado will straight up kill you unapologetically. The Master Sword will also kill you, but much more apologetically.
I've only seen 1 weapon that I think can stand on pretty even ground with the one from "Monado: Beginning of the World," and that would be the weapon from "Transistor," known as... the Transistor. I say "weapon," because it, like the Monado, isn't really a sword, so much as a vaguely sword-shaped object that can alter the state of the world around itself. It has a few abilities that mirror the Monado's. Jaunt() is its answer to Monado Speed, Cull() corresponds to Monado Cyclone, and Purge() ironically acts more like Monado Eater than Monado Purge. In response to the Monado's visions however, the Transistor has Turn() which freezes time to allow the user to plan out a sequence of attacks and then execute them very rapidly. This is also how one can get access to Kill(), which is a more restricted form of Monado Buster as a single wide area high damage attack. In general, the Monado has many more defensive abilities, while the Transistor is much more offensive, which seen most clearly through the dichotomy of visions vs Turn(). In general though, within their respective worlds, only another with the same abilities can realistically stand up to their reality altering properties.

The Master Sword would be my pick. Don’t get me wrong, I *LOVE* the Monado, but the master sword is so damn close to my heart.
Yea I get it, like I said I'd for sure go with the Monado, but I can't blame you for going with the Master Sword. So much lore and history behind it, and it's such an iconic weapon too, certainly special

Its fair, because in xenoblade the monado is the main weapon, in zelda the master sword is also a main weapon, but not a godly like. In zelda is the triforce
Yea thats kinda where the comparison came to play, plus I know both are incredibly iconic and fan favorite and actually have abilities unlike some iconic weapons just used by people that have abilities
master sword power-wise has no hope whatsoever, regardless of its power boost against evil, because a monado wielder would just nullify the boost with purge or eater. im goin monado

Is this even a question? The Monado is far stronger and far more useful than the Master Sword. And it's cooler, but that's subjective.
100% subjective on the cooler part plus, you'd be surprise how many people dont want a wholr bunch of powers but just a few strong stuff, the Master Swors got those and is just super slick too. I wouldn't pick it, but I get it
