The Follow-up to this video for the updated Lore from Future Redeemed for the Sword of the End is up! Check it out here! ua-cam.com/video/6YPzbIczgKY/v-deo.html
I just realised something XC1, the progenitor - Monado is used for Creation (In story, recreation) XC2, the sequel - Aegis/Holy Grail is used for Manipulation (In story, saving the dying world, prolonging its existence) XC3, the finalle - Lucky 7 is used for Destruction (In story, ending the endless now and letting both worlds be eradicated so the worlds can be reborn) Like holy shit
But the Aegis Swords and Monado are the same. The only difference is that one world was made entirely of ether, whilst the other one wasn't. The difference in Foresight is that in XC1 the Monado calculates the position of every bit of ether in the universe and displays the results in the form of a vision, whilst in XC2 it's Mythra doing the calculations so to speak, not the sword; Alvis wasn't awakened as a Blade, hence he could create his own body using the Conduit. The Monado is a by product of that. When Mythra sees 500 years into the future, it's when she's tapped into her power as a processor, rather than an awakened Blade, thus placing her power level on the same tier as Alvis. Again, the only differences between the two are that Alvis is effectively in charge of his own custom minecraft server whilst Pneuma is a resident within a preset one. Thinking about it this way, all the authentic Monados we see in XC1 are Alvis', and the "Gods" are like his Drivers. They can use the powers of the weapons on their own, but as seen with Shulk's Monado (the III) it's similar to Mythra's in the sense that its full power could only be unlocked through the combined might of "Driver and Blade". As for Lucky Seven, in its base form it's a hunk of Origin metal. Substances can cut through stuff if it's made of the same thing because the strength is the same. The crazy powers come from the same source as Moebius' powers; the will of the people. Origin is the source of the current collective unconscious, and it's collective will to survive was brought to fruition through the metal, creating Z. Lucky Seven is independant, and thus the only will influencing it is Noah, so all it's powers come from him. It's only as strong as him. The Sword of Origin was created effectively by Melia, and Ouroboros from Nia. The two came together to create a pair of powers that act similar to the Driver and Blade principle, potentially alluding to the fact that Lucky Seven/The Sword of Origin/the End is a Monado or Replica of some kind. It even uses Monado art symbols and looks like Monado II. Replica Monados are powerful, as we've seen. They can do everything a regular one can; they're both artificial machines used to measure and manipulate ether. The only difference is that the authentic ones were created by a Processor created from the Conduit, like the Artifices, whilst the Replicas are made by beings of significantly less precision and intellect, despite being Machina etc. There's no reason a Replica couldn't be as strong. If you need proof, Shulk's REX+ created a version of the Hilbert Effect, which was already displayed in base game in the form of Monado Enchant and Apocrypha. Back to Lucky Seven/The Sword of ... It's powerful enough to rend the two worlds from one another and restart time. There's no reason a Monado couldn't do that. Now if we're talking power level, Noah's Sword is inherently the strongest because it has no "Blade" tied to the Conduit. If I were ot hazard a guess as to what Origin metal actually is? Broken fragments of the world tree and artifices that absorbed or still contained power from the Conduit. Hence, its power comes directly from the collective unconscious (if we're assuming the Conduit and Zohar are identical in function and the Wave Existence is a thing).
This was a comment as big and detailed like I get on my Kingdom Hearts videos LOL, love it all the same though. And you're right the Aegis weapons and Monado are the same in nature but due to the circumstances of their experiences is why I said they began to branch out from each other. It's like 2 kittens from the same litter and one raised in the wild and one in a household, thats how I think of it. They both are capable of the same but are they experienced in as such or have they gained the same abilities, probably mot entirely but they do come from the same roots like you've said with Alvis being in full control of his powers due to his creating of it where as Pneuma and the Aegis' more so are reliant on a preset loadout. And I fully agree that the Monado R.E.X. is capable of just as much strength as say the Aegis swords without their core crystal like in the wave 4 trailer. At the end of the day, if the weapon can use, control, and manipulate ether so strongly and precisely, theres essentially no limits to that weapon, theoretically
@@ShowtimeLaw it really could, honestly they'll just have to defend with the ether portions of their weapons OR just don't even bother blocking LOL, not worth that smoke
@@MetaSF_ this? This why I love this series. So much good discussion. What you think about blade eaters? They always seem like a discount Aegises that break all the blade rules like the Aegises. Do you think they are akin to like a replica monado?
@@yukotrey9422 exactly why I like making videos like this, SO MUCH good discussion, and I do think blade eaters and flesh eaters are next on the scales of power in that world given the unique abilities and levels of ether output, for sure replica monado-esque like you said. Not the levels of the pure aegis cores or the True Monado or anything, but still plenty powerful for the world to be mad strong in combat even for an Aegis
@@xenocross6597 of course, if you're a xenoblade fan you know that, I even mentioned Ontos being one of the 3 cores of the Trinity Processor in this video. You can also technically call Malos or Pneuma Monados if you like especially since Malos referred to his blade as one, but for naming convention's sake everybody will know what you're talking about when you say The Monado or The Aegis' respectively, it's just using context clues
they do, next video would be nice to have a no bias "love the story" 9 minutes monadoing overhype lol. Feels more like a personal bias let me tell you why I like more this one than the other two kinda video, respectable I guess
Malos’s sword is just too clean to pass up. I love the transformation and sleek design that gives it such a harsh aura. Every time I saw it I was left with wanting more. A close second would be N’s sword. What can I say, I like villain weapons.
I mean, villain weapons are pretty sharp, literally and figuratively, I do like Malos' Monado design more than Pneuma's Monado and her normal aegis swords
Couple notable things to consider; 1 being Lucky 7’s speed is astronomical since in can slash at tachyon speed (only particle faster than light). With Pnuema I’m confident she’s far more powerful than shown considering since they suggest her ether manipulation has a larger scale. Personally I’d pick either Shulk or Malos’ monado tho.
I think Ontos's Monado/Monado III and Pneuma's sword have essentially the same power. Alvis states that the Monado allows its wielder to manipulate the Ether in the air to make their desire reality, and though its never pushed to the same limit as the Monado, the third Aegis sword, as Pneuma puts it, lets them rewrite the physical laws of their surroundings, Jin also says in the cutscene after his final fight, "The power to manifest what you imagine" suggesting that it is essentially the same power as the Monado. Also, I don't think we ever see the third Aegis sword at its limit, as even after the final Jin fight or the final Malos fight, Rex and Pneuma aren't even winded, it's likely the only thing holding them back is their own imagination
It makes sense that they wouldn’t be winded after fighting Aion with that kind of power. As powerful as Malos was, he didn’t have full access to his power(hence why he needed Aion in the first place). The only reason why Aion wasn’t completely and utterly annihilated by Rex and Pneuma is because they had no reason to be aware of how stupidly overpowered they truly were. Sure, they were aware of some of their capabilities(seeing as they could keep up with the physics-defying object known as Jin), but they didn’t exactly need to use it to its fullest extent. Shulk, on the other hand, had no reason or desire to hold back, and he pounded a god into the dirt. Why wouldn’t the other fully realized Trinity sword be able to do the same, given the opportunity?
One more thing for pneuma: In the cutscene in the world tree, when fighting jin, he mentions rex being able to manifest what he imagines, which while not really used in the game, is still an incredibely strong aspect.
@@MetaSF_ consider the fact that we Need to see what happens in the game. Technically, jin and Rex fight at the Speed of light, but we couldn't see any of It, so we see a slowed down version. The Power scaling of xenoblade 2 gets a bit Crazy in the end
@@AndrewTheUltraBoss99 it's true, it gets to a point where you really gotta think on power vs abilities vs capability, and how each person may value them depending on which Sword they'd go with
11:26 You never see world creation or destruction from Rex' Monado because for 1, he didn't need to, and 2 the world of Alrest isn't made entirely out of ether like Xenoblade 1's world so they'd have to use the conduit/zohar (which they don't have anymore) to create another big bang wiping out everyone for this to happen. Alvis/Ontos can create/destroy, and manipulate any part of that world at will because it's all ether and nothing more. The new world being made was Shulk's decision, but it wasn't his monado's power, it was Alvis' administrative powers over the world.
The Monado and Lucky Seven are really cool parallels to one another. It’s not a perfect analogy, but you could technically call the worlds of XBC1 and 3 simulations being ran by higher powers. The Monado is a sword made of the “code”, so to speak, of the world. Ontos and Klaus were two of three beings to be from outside the “simulation”, meaning that their swords could truly be used to rewrite the world. Meanwhile, the Sword of Origin was made from, well, Origin. It’s basically the only “real” metal inside the simulation and, as such, can cut through it. And they look completely opposite, as one is a technological laser sword and the other is a seemingly bland sword. (Also, fun fact that I didn’t catch until recently: Shulk backwards is Kluhs, remarkably similar to Klaus. They were planting the plot seeds from the very start.) Also yooooo the Unpainted in the outro got me hyped
I can see where you get the analogy, also considering how the Architect kinda sat back and let things happen until Malos, Rex, and the party came to him. And like I said, the Aegis kinda outside of power didnt feel as idk fantastical, maybe cause they're a Blade of many Blades where in the case of The Monado and the Sword of Origin theres a CLEAR disparity. Also it was actually DIVIDE in the intro but you dont know how happy it made me that you recognized it was from NEO: TWEWY lol, I love Unpainted too tho and almost actually did use it for that part 👀 those 2 songs always get me SO HYPE
i think ontos/alvis/alpha/A is definately the strongest of the three considering in one he acted as zanzas minion but was actually seemingly above him in godhood eing able to lead shulk to surpass zanzas power and his resurrected form in future redeemed was split in two people yet both were still powerhouses, one could bind Z himself and the other was equivelent to an ouroborus. only thing he lacked compared to his sibiling were giant space mechs but honestly i dont think he needed them
@@MetaSF_ Personally, I'm more into cat ears. ... Oh would you look at that! I know it's not technically an Aegis, but it's pretty damn close. (The sword even looks cooler IMO. So pretty...)
I would go with aegis, because you'll always have someon by your side. This gives me more confidence. But nia and jin being flesh eaters also are really powerfull. Nia's healing powers make you nearly immortal and jin is able to fight with high power.
I can understand that, having basically a constant battle partner where you're literally in sync in mind and body but also a good person to just be with
the editing on this video is so well done, the sound balancing is really clean, not to mention the sick intro. super high quality, excited to see more stuff from you!
That honestly means a lot to me, telling specifically is always a big help and I appreciate it a lot, I'll be keeping the content coming as well, thanks for tuning in!
Aegis: Can flatout re-write the very rules of the world. Monado: Literal God. Lucky Seven: Can slash stuff. Some people say that Lucky Seven is what fixes the worlds, it's not. Origin restarting does that, Noah even throws the Lucky Seven into the sea.
Well his Blade and the Ouroboros stones were components made from Origin to resist Z, plus I mean he might as well have thrown it in the ocean cause the worlds go back to how they were before anyways
Going hard on Pneuma's Aegis for me. Not only is companionship something I kinda need and can easily get emotionally invested in which basically fuels the resonance needed to access the power anyways, but I really like the idea of Pneuma being able to utilize all the Ether elements, light speed movement, foresight, and even damn near flight. The way Rex was moving, I have to assume she even cancels out rapid accel and decelleration forces on the body. If the Ether can also cancel self-generated sonic booms, I think I know how I'm travelling from now on lol Also as a potential bonus, if Pneuma's core crystal has ANYTHING to do with Ouroboros powers, that's a hard YES PLEASE.
I feel like the suit from the connection with Pneuma that Rex got helped his body handle the strain of the extreme power he was utilizing, similar to how a transformation would be to handle the necessary increase in power, but either way I still can't blame people's biggest reason for choosing Pneuma being the social aspect, it's a huge component that can go a long way so can't blame y'all 😤
Kinda off topic but that background song at the beginning that's "Divide" from twewy ya? Nice! That caught me off guard because I never seen anyone use any of those songs and twewy and neo twewy have one of my favorite video game osts ever I love most the songs so that one a nice surprise
@@Rex13013 really the reason why I wanna grow too especially in these types of videos and other kinds of course, so I can get the twewy greatness spread, people voted for it on the poll so guess they want one from me already lol
Great video! I gotta go with the #Monado, its ability to see the future and the different Monado Arts make it the strongest weapon. It also has an amazing design, the kanji glowing up in the multi-layered glass based on the Monado Art is also way too sick. The way the Monado opens up and closes is also raw af. I'm also so glad that the Monado I is the Monado that Alvis uses in the DLC, it fits him perfectly.
You said it great, the Monado is an OG but its also JUST THAT CLEAN also even the Monado R.E.X., way better than the one Linada made for him at the end of the base game lol
While the Monado is strong the whole thing about depending on will is definitely a huge risk you take in using it. If someone can break you, you're pretty much powerless but I don't know if it matters if you know how strong the Monado is off the bat so you can still be at full power. The Aegis seems like the best for everyday life. You get a caring and loving companion that will most of the time be there for you and if your resonance is strong enough they will be able to understand you the best out of anyone in the world (at least I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong on Driver and Blade being able to share emotions) but in a fight they can be a liability because your focus will be split between opponents and your Blade. Overall the Sword of the End seems like the best weapon. It's primary limit is the user's skills with a sword and it can cut anything. Plus if it comes with the sheathe that Noah has, free defensive gauntlet that you look cool as heck using and no worries about storage since you summon it with an Iris. So, as much as recency bias may be affecting my judgement, I'll be choosing the Sword of the End. Great video btw.
Hey, whether recency bias or not you can always end up changing your mind the more you sit on it. They're all great to be fair so honestly you not going wrong. But I definitely have seen many comments saying they either may not want to deal with being forced to have a partner with the Aegis, or needing to have incredible will for the Monado, but others don't mind as much and it makes sense. I just didn't expect it. Not to mention, a sword within a sword? That's like an auto 2-phase boss fight lol. And as far as the Driver and Blade's emotions, you can say they share emotions even though it's more like their individual emotions can influence each other. That's why Malos got so twisted because Amalthus' more sinister nature started to make him even more intent on destruction than he already was.
yea, still streaming through it but the fact that you're not the first person to say something like this, makes me wish I could make an addendum and add more onto the Sword of Origin section lol, but I still heavily appreciate the incredible support on this video no matter what. Glad this DLC can make even more conversation
@@rghennig1 That's true, or just a followup about new Sword of Origin details and I roast myself for this timing lol, still funny though I'm definitely considering it, plus I don't entirely get what exactly Noah's Sword of Origin has embedded
That makes me very happy, probably the most conflicted I've been in the start of the design phase but eventually this end product just flowed naturally, glad you like it!
Ngl I love the sword of the end like you said when Noah unsheathed lucky seven and the weight of life played I was in love. That is the coolest sword in Xenoblade to me I gotta go for it. The ontos monado is a close second tho.
I got CHILLS when that song came on in chapter 2 and he got the gauntlet for the first time and it revealed thats where he was hiding it, man soooo good
I would choose the Aegis Blade but the one that rex has in the XC3 DLC story. If you notice in the trailer, the core cyrstal is gone, meaning that it works like every weapon in XC3; it can appear out of nowhere. Also he can finally Dual wield!! So happy for that. THAT'S the main reason.
never been a dual wielding type person for myself, like with lightsabers I always preferred like the double bladed ones if single wasn't an option lol, but dual wielding I admit is always cool and it works with Rex super well
In all the xenoseries starting 1, logos and pneuma was already pitted on each other. Commencing the cycle of destruction, death, & resurrection. Notice how the world was recreated at the collected decision of 3 biocomputers namely pneuma(shulk, rex, noah) & logos(fiora, Malos, N), and ontos(Alvis, A, Alpha)
You basically have to choose between a _god,_ 1 of 2.5 _angels,_ or a _really, really sharp sword._ Like, it's *_really_*_ sharp, dude._ (So sharp it can literally _cut through time!)_ Love how trying to talk compare these swords ends up leading to character analysis and one's cooking skills. Because that's what happens when the sword in question isn't actually an "it," but instead a "she" (technically a "they"). Personally, I don't care for fighting, so I don't really need a sword, so I'll take the one that's not _just_ a weapon: #Aegis.
Well said, and yea it really just went in that direction and I wasnt even scripting that cooking part in, it actually had just come to me as I was recording the previous lines LOL
That's what I like to hear, glad you enjoyed the both, this thumbnail took longer to come up with the actual idea but once it came to me it flowed, much appreciated 🤝
If we're talking pure strength the monado sweeps easily. Once again i reiterate *he destroyed and recreated an entire fucking universe in about 5 minutes*
This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen, and maaaaan do I love it. Gotta go with the Pyra Mythra Aegis on this one, just always having their company would be amazing
Dang I appreciate the kind words! Glad it was a strong start for you, imma keep pushing for more and better too. Yea I admit, cant blame you for wanting their company, thats quite the people to be around lol especially as people
New dlc basically says lucky seven has the same power of an aegis (logos which is synonymous with what he represents: destruction) Combine that with the veiled sword gauntlet which is implied to have pneuma’s core and I’d say Noah is the strongest out of the protagonist trio. He is basically using the power of 2 aegis’ at once. All of a sudden tachyon slash makes a fuckton of sense because N was able to move at the speed of light when channeling the power of the sword of origin (like how Alvis was able to grant multiple Monados to Shulk, meyneth, and zanza). if both logos and pneuma were able to rewrite reality and pneuma was able to move at the speed of light. Imagine combining the powers of both to go beyond. The reason why I say this is because tachyons are a theoretical particle that are faster than light, meaning time doesn’t just stand still, it moves backwards. And one interpretation is that when a tachyon moves towards something, it’s bouncing off at the same time before it even makes contact, which coincides with tachyon slash being multiple slash even though Noah performs only a single stroke with lucky seven. Because the attack has already been completed before it has even begun, like a tachyon.
Very great and interesting look at it and plenty of truth to it, honestly due to the nature of the swords even with what Lucky Seven is apparently able to do, it always seemed that the true power of the combination of Logos and Pneumas power was Ouroboros. Cause alone both Matthew and N's power werent enough for Alpha which says a lot imo. But Noah himself having both after combining with N, definitely made him more destructive to Moebius' nature. I talked more about this in my followup video to this so I'd appreciate if you could check that one out if you havent, see what you think
I just wanna say that Lucky Sevens Ultimate definitely adds the most reliably usable and fun gameplay mechanic - even if it's horrendously OP for like 98% of Enemies. I mean it basically transforms Noah into Sephiroth.
Yea that's part of why I did a followup video, it's my latest video so I recommend checking it out. Doesn't redo everything but it does reevaluate things given Future Redeemed's content 👌
For me personally I’m gonna go for the monado aswell because it’s such an amazing weapon and have the ability to change the future is a must. I hope you do one on the Buster sword from final fantasy VII
The Monado is so hard to pass up for sure, and the Buster Sword is a great idea, I'll keep that in mind for potentially one down the line if it has enough to it and just figure out what to pit it against 🤔
@@MetaSF_If you're gonna analyze stuff from Anime/Visual novels as well, I'd love to see you analyze and compare weapons from the Fate franchise, like Cú's Gae Bolg, Gilgamesh's Enuma Elish, etc.
@@heroofthewinds7765 as far as more weapons go from anime/visual novels and manga, I'd have SO many options, didn't consider Fate but I'll add that to some of the thoughts if I do get to doing one from one of those mediums ✍
As much as I love the Monado the new kid on the block, Lucky Seven has to be one of the coolest even if it doesn’t have as many ether based ways to attack. It’s a simple weapon that can cut through anything but also just has one of the sickest designs with its Veiled Sword which is its shackled form and then truely unleashed with Noah’s talent arts. What’s awesome about Lucky Seven gameplay wise is that it’s arts abilities change depending on which role Noah is in, so more attack based ones for offense, agrro and tanking skills for defenders and lastly healing and support for support classes.
when I first found out on stream that the attacker version could instakill so consistently cause of having a chance of doom, man I actually lost it LOL, I can't blame you in the slightest. Simple yet broken in story and in gameplay
Great video dude! I'm #Monado myself, it had the best display of its powers and I might be a little bit biased towards XC1 myself. THO I think people sleep on Lucky7 as the flagship sword in SC3, personally. In Noah's hands he's almost a completely unstoppable force, it wouldn't be able to control aether like the Monada/Aegis could but like Tachyon Slash? That thing makes any opposition look like wet paper. I'm super late to this vid but damn dude keep it up, you deserve a bigger audience ASAP 🔥
I really appreciate the kind comment and words, I'll for sure keep the grind up 👌. And yea I for sure think Lucky 7 is slept on, many picked it for the gauntlet arm which I think is sick, but even outside of that and thanks to Future Redeemed I have even more respect for it, definitely would be my #2 pick
To me, they each represent something vital to the human existence that is even capable of cutting down God: Monado 3 = Self-determination Pneuma's Aegis Sword: Weaving bonds Lucky Seven = Letting go Altogether, I think a lot of people have found these qualities reflected in themselves, myself included, and that has informed us of what we are as information-processing beings.
The Aegises are pretty much equal in power. Their swords are just a physical rapresentation of what they can do but theoritically there isn't really a limit to what each Aegis is capable of doing, they pretty much just do whatever the plot demands.
To an extent I agree, them coming from the same source would insinuate that they're equal, but due to the Nature of Cores and them being able to essentially grow and learn and adapt in their own ways and own rates, that's what really makes it interesting and where their abilities based on worlds or experiences really make them branch about. Like Malos' ability to decay and destroy all like a plague, and the Monado's essentially able to rewrite and create worlds and according to Future Redeemed, time travel apparently lol. Soon as the Cores could become people, the branches began, but you're right they can do whatever the plot desires, but the plots make them feel so different in capability because of that human element of adaptation ya know
@@MetaSF_ Fundamentally, they are super advanced computers. They can do anything because there isn't a limit to what a super intelligence could do. In a way, the cores themselves don't do anything because they are just machines without a physical form, but the physical forms have emotions and fears and heistations and that's a limitation to what they can achieve. So they keep themselves in check.
I read somewhere that the devs confirmed that the Origin Blade of Consul N (Basically another Lucky Seven) have Logos essence on it, that's why it looks dark purple and have some resemblance to Mahlos colors and aura, the thing is that in XC2 Logos was destroyed along with Mahlos, but somehow it ended in the sheath of N blade, while Pneuma essence was in Matthew's gloves
I was never fully sure about the devs commenting on that but I did address it in this video's followup on the Sword of Origin and Sword of The End, and I definitely think those both have interesting components as well as still some things that aren't 100% clear but I feel like it's not that Logos had any surviving thing left, but Origin having memory data of both worlds it allowed for things that have even expired to be refashioned into Aionios, that's how I think of it at least lol
well, I both agree and disagree but that's because they're just good complex characters. On a surface level you could call them as I guess "opposites", but on a deeper side they both have aspects that one would assume the other has. Like pyra actually can be pretty selfish and secretive, and mythra is surprisingly thoughful and considerate. So yes but nah but also yes
One thing I must add is that the Aegis has the power of creation, any attack they want to do they can do with their imagination and this is reflected in the gameplay, it's pretty cool and nice vid :^)
Correct answer is receding rust from X, that thing one-shots planetkillers (might just be a thing with Cross but still) I would pick the SRM-XR3150 DARKGOD (aka the Vita's sword) but even if it looks cool it's way too big to use, I don’t have a mech lol
If we're talking Ascended forms (True Monado, Pneuma, Sword of Origin) I would have to go with the Monado. The power to overcome anything based on your will is just to strong to ignore. But if we're talking Unshackled forms (Monado, Mythra/Malos, and Lucky Seven), then I would lean towards the Aegis' due to the fact that I feel like their Monado skills coupled with their driver links (especially if Mythra is paired with a driver like Rex who could bring out the most of her abilities) just edges out XC1's Monado for me. Though if we're being honest, these are some OP weapons and can't go wrong with any of them
I know what u mean when u say it's not a chosen one thing but I always thought Shulks spider sense was solely because of Zanza residing and awakening within him. But then again I guess Zanza and the Monado are very closely connected so yeah. Also just a great video and idea!!!
yea you see where that line gets kinda weird, that's why I just kept it all cause even when he and zanza split it's like he mentioned he still had that sense, but like you said The Monado and at least Alvis' Powers which is where it comes from, are a package anyways, and glad you like the video and idea! Was a lot of fun and certainly hype to draft
The visions Shulk sees are visualizations of foresight shown to him by Zanza. That "spider sense" ability is the innate version of foresight, showing that Shulk has gained that power for himself. You might recall Alvis having described his own foresight in a similar way.
Well with Future Redeemed out now I'd say Lucky Seven. The Monado was basically Ontos as Alvis says, The Aegis was Pneuma and Logos/Malos, and Lucky Seven which we thought was just made out of the metal they used to make Origin is now revealed to basically have the power of Ontos, Logos AND Pneuma. Sorta. Kinda implied. At least by the end of 3.
I'd say it's more than great of a choice now for sure lol, at the very least N's had Logos' power, not sure if Noah's has Pneuma's or Pneuma's AND Logos', I could be trippin
@@MetaSF_ If he didn't at the start of XC3 then by the end when N becomes one with Noah he definitely has both Pneuma AND Logos powers. Like I also said Origin and it's metal was made from Ontos core crystal so there's some power from there too. Plus apparently the Seven in Lucky Seven is the souls or memories of the party members from XC1.
@@AresSG It sounded like they alluded to that but also couldn't tell if literal or metaphorical. Kinda wish with it being the last of XC3 that they were more straight up clear about things like that you know, instead leaving some details to the imagination still
@@MetaSF_ Well the way I see it is it's probably literal. Considering the events that happened the way I see it is as the two world's were merging, time was stopped by Z who then created Aionios in between the two worlds using Origin. The inhabitants of both worlds were still alive but frozen in a moment. The inhabitants of Aionios were made from the downloaded data of the originals souls and memories. So it's possible they could have transferred the XC1 parties souls/memories into Lucky Seven.
Having played each game I would pick the Aegis for how cool I think that one is compared to the others but its absolutely a 1, 1a and 1b situation. Especially since the monado and aegis are basically the same thing.
sure they have the same roots but like I said, after the origin of the cores because of the worlds they resided in, how they grew and adapted and changed made them fundamentally different over time. So they still are different, it's like having 2 of the same pokemon but training one to be a high speed attacker and one to be a slower bulky but setup heavy attacker, something like that at least lol
I think I would go with Lucky Seven because it's either that , Shulks toy from toys r us, or having a big chested anime girl next to me that even if they're a little upset they're not as strong plus lucky seven just looks cool especially saying it can literally cut through reality to the point when noah is fighting humans he has to use the dull edge of the sword
So, I'm like way late to this, but even after seeing the different abilities as far as the arts, amounts of ether, and of course design of the swords, my ultimate answer would have to be the Aegis Monado. Specifically Pneuma's Monado is my weapon of choice. I do have a a bit of a bias however because of the capabilities the blades have in the world of Alrest. Unlike Ontos/Shulk's Monado, the Aegis Monado can't control comeplete amounts of Ether like using Speed and Armour; However, there is a special element (no pun intended) to the style in which the Aegis Monado as well as all blades battle and fight which I am a fan of. That of course is the elemental system and the different kinds of blades who use said elements. While in the Master Driver form, I could gain the ability to chain moves together regardless of the element chain initiated. Another thing is, from what we've seen in XC1 and XC3 is that most of the energy comes from ether, but is only limited from the wielder, well as far as the first monado is concerned. After playing through each game, I noticed each sword has one thing in common, they are connected to one another. (Ignore that part, I just wanted to add that fact because of my love for the series) Overall, here is my choice and ranking of the 3 sword 1. Aegis 2. Monado 3. Sword of Origin.
Cool. I always wondered Orge Rancorem from a game called Another Eden vs the Monado. They both have similar time principles and Orge Rancorem while not being a literal godsword does have the 500 year long grudge of the Orge clan who has taken down gods, super ai computers, specters and what have you with it's weilder Aldo. It does have the same chosen one thing with the Master Sword and the power cannot be controlled and has to be kept in a sheath and Aldo has to use a normal sword for the most part. I didn't think about this until you said it but like the Aegis it has a mind of it's own and would rather destroy humans but agrees to help Aldo because he threatened to throw him in the ocean lol but does have his rebellious moments. In addition to being able to destroy time distortions and being able to feed off miasma corrupting beings has access to Another Force which can essentially freeze time (and is a completely broken mechanic lol) Not to mention Aldo being a whole other can of worms with Godly powers of his own.
Sounds like completely broken sword in game combat AND in lore lol, me personally I'd rather not have a weapon thats like an entire other person or where I can be ok and they arent and im at a disadvantage but it's still a pretty incredible point of advantages too
That's ok I completely get that, also her sword is pretty cool, definitely like it more than Pyra's. But I also like Mythra as a character more than Pyra too
It’s so hard to choose, the monado has foresight and many of arts, pneuma/logos are incredibly powerful and the sword of origin, let’s just say you’re lucky that Noah is not as “energetic” as Shulk so ima go with #Icantchooseasword
It doesn't have foresight. It has visions. Foresight gives you 8 seconds to dodge an incoming attack while visions allow you to see into the future and predict what your enemy's next move is.
I definitely dont remember if that was like part of her abilities or a story piece for prequels like where people have visions or dreams of the base game/original pieces lol cause I definitely didnt remember that, I'll have to see tho thats interesting
@@MetaSF_ when she unlocks the true power of pneuma and loses control of herself, she even sees rex with Pyra, her other self, who hasn't even existed yet at the moment iirc. But yeah I mean like I said on your community post you can definitely say the Monado looks cooler cause some forms I'd agree, but Pneuma is by far the most powerful of the 3 blades Im pretty sure, and no that's not bias cause you get a waifu with them, they're just literally known as the master blade and have data from all other blades in existence, no other blade let's the driver move at the speed of light, only one other blade could do that and it wasn't the driver as well, just the blade, even if they did fight, rex and Shulk, at their best capabilities, no point in seeing the future when you'll get hit before you can even think of the solution to it, not to mention her own foresight would see Shulk try to dodge the attack and change attack strategies, again at the speed of light.
@@kfed9834 I see I see, but also in cases of both powers that have foresight and can move like light at will it just becomes like Rock Paper Scissors you know, and that's whats so interesting, plus Pneuma alone fighting absolutely has full mastery of abilities but like I say some people arent down to have a partner in combat, it's why I have this series be based around more than just power or even looks, big and small things like working alone or not or even having bulky or sleeker weapons all can toss things up super nice, cause even if shulk and rex did fight, both their foresights have been countered in combat before so theoretically it can be a tossup especially when Shulk got his like a spider sense or the Force later on which to me makes that decision making even quicker lol, idk who'd win that they're both incredible, but like I said, the dual swords of mythra and pyra are SUPER funky and wouldnt be surprised if it was a turnoff not in design but if somebody would choose it for themselves to have to fight with 🤔
@@MetaSF_ Jin said it himself, "you may be able to see my moves coming but your body simply can't move fast enough to evade" so it's not as simple as rock paper scissors, it's literally just Pneuma can put maneuver anything Shulk even wanted to do and strike before he could even blink, "how are you able to match my speed, mortals shouldn't have such power" it's definitely a total anime unwinnable fight moment which yeah can be lame, but it's just how things would go, obviously rex is too much of a kind soul to actually fight Shulk unless he was in his way like Malos and Jin, but that being said if all bets were off it is definitely a one sided fight. But yeah I get your point in saying people may want to fight alone, which pneuma usually just supports you from behind if anything in actual battles anyways, it'd be almost no different, pretty sure Ontos is the equivalent of pneuma anyways in reference to making the Monado in the first place, so each has their "baggage" Again not discredit your choice for cooler blade, but it's definitely not the strongest blade lol, easily the most broken blade in the series.. and actually fun fact, but it would be even stronger in game, but Pneuma is stuck at trust rank E since you can't open the menu while she's out, so even in game you're only using her at like 40%? of her actual strength that S rank would unlock, iirc E to S is like 160% better damage and higher multipliers on specials etc. It's the only reason why she's not used that often in post game, but if we could make her S rank trust.. oh boy (talking about blade affinity charts, directly buffs blades to complete them and we can't access pneuma's as the player due to an oversight)
XC 1: Anyone who (isn't a god) wields this weapon dies or fries an arm (foreshadowing for the 4th dlc?). Can create a world and cut through anything you want it too (only if unshackled). XC 2: Full access to blades power, only limited by your abilities to harness it. Must build close bond with blade to harmonize. XC 3: Raw strength physically and in energy output. Can be wielded by anyone, making it easy to be used recklessly, but requires technique to make full use of it's speed and edge. For a normal person, Lucky seven is the safest option. It's certainly no slouch in strength. May not be flashy, but it's lightwieght sharp as hell, and only requires practice. If you're a fast learner and a very compelling type, you might be able to undertake the aegis Don't try the monado, especially if it's the monado 1, only gods can wield it with no consequences. Never consider this sword unless you can conjure your own.
Don’t forget the aegises can also control the mecha(forget exactky what they are called) but would also have a army of mechas at your call, plus being able to control and bond with every blade, I gotta go with the aegis!
yea honestly, that's one of my 2 biggest regrets when making this video is I forgot about the Artifices, I know others will remember but still wish I remembered to put them down in my notes 😔
@@MetaSF_ all good man! The Aegises show off a lot of abilities, so hard to pinpoint everything, I had forgotten about that too, but replayed 2 a while ago so I was reminded from that!
Yea...honestly when I came to that realization I wasnt even mad I just laughed lol, so I got one recorded already for it and will be out after the next TOTK video
On the topic of Aegises being affected by the Apocrypha Generator, I think they’d just be weakened like the Monado. The Apocrypha Generator has a similar power to that seen in Spirit Crucible Elpys, wherein Blades and their weapons are weakened. Aegises, being the Master Blades and thus vastly more powerful, would likely be able to at least survive the generator’s effects where most Blades would likely return to their core crystals as forewarned by Gramps at the start of Rex & co’s journey into Elpys. All Blades have a strong connection to ether, so even the Aegises would be weakened, but the worst it got for Ontos’ Monado was it being temporarily deactivated before Shulk reactivated it with sheer willpower. As for which sword I’d pick I’d have to say the Sword of Origin. Travel-wise, since Blades in XC3 are temporarily dismissed from existence when not in use, it would be very easy to carry around. In addition, while it is usually a two-handed weapon, it’s still light enough to hold with just one hand when not in a fight. The few times we see Noah holding it in one hand he has no trouble doing so, so I’d guess he holds it with both hands primarily for better control in battle.
Not to mention, The Sword of Origin is actually symmetrical LOL, unlike the other two. Surprisingly yet not surprisingly a lot of people pick it for just this reason and I can't even blame them. It'll feel super balanced in weight despite being huge. Not to mention a more than comfortable enough hilt to wield it with
Yeah... knowing now thanks to the DLC that the lucky seven has both the power of Pheuma and Malos's Core cristals, yeah... that would make it more powerfull than we though. Athough im not sure if they ever explained with there are two Swords of the end, but we do know that Noah's is stronger cause it has Pheuma's cristal in its hilt.
Listen...you don't know how much I was so surprised at that reveal simply cause I JUST made this video LOL, I'm definitely doin a lil followup about that and the Sword of Origin, plus I still have some questions on about how N's sheathe changed from looking like Malos' Monado to reflecting Noah's lucky 7. Or why they didn't actually use the Sword of Origin model for his sword, and with the Pneuma crystal visibly gone in Noah's sword, is the power still just embued in Noah's sword even with it gone or is there somethin I'm missing. Still need some clarity in some spots
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 I LOVED IT so much, and it really was well done. My biggest things are I wish we got an epilogue of the base 3 cast in the reunified world, AND they were more clear about like 3 plot points instead of leaving it to a lil degree of assumption. It's like I still get it at the end of the day but I wished they would be more straight up in some areas ya know
Awesome video! I agree that the Monado is awesome! Also my inner megaman is calling. What song did you do for your intro? I can only guess maybe battle network 6 or one of the starforce games but I don’t know what the tune name is.
Glad you noticed the music, I've always been a HUGE megaman fan, really all my life (as you can probably tell by my channel banner lol) so glad you're also cultured 🤝. But the intro song is a part from a remix of the Spade Magnes Stage theme from Starforce 3. Sorry for the late response, but glad you enjoyed the video as well! It means a lot
Monado because it has the most unique and distinctive design. The other swords are all derivative of it to some degree, and Lucky Seven is visually pretty bland.
This video was awesome and the sword I would take is the sword of origin I mean come it can cut through anything I would want a sword like that and when Noah’s sheath or sword part becomes a arm guard and gauntlet I love it
Bro it's SO COOL when he gets the gauntlet. I can totally see him unsheating it and using it after getting a full meter in smash or something. Make that meter his talent art gauge and when its full he takes it out and gets super strong. Tangent, but I love it lol
@@SineFineInanis It's originally one of the cores of the Trinity Processor, but that specific version is not referred to as an Aegis but just the Monado, that's its name, and its function due to the nature of the world it went into altered the growth of the concept and certainly not constrained by the Blade system, for common sense's sake that should be already obvious so even if both their origins are the same, how they grew and adapted in power and function became distinct and more unique from each other
@@MetaSF_ So, out of curiosity, what do you think of Malos tacking on Monado to the name of his arts? Also, what kind of role do you think Alvis will play in the story expansion for XC3?
@@SineFineInanis Malos himself and the people and system of that world refers to him as an Aegis but he uses a Monado that it's specifically called so that's about it for him. As far as Alvis' role in the DLC, honestly it really just depends on when that event if Shulk and Rex facing Alvis occurs. Did a poll of what others thought and general thoughts are either before Aionios forms and this is the true catalyst, early era of Aionios which gives Shulk and Rex their legacy to the Founders of House Reid and Cassini, OR some people think that this happens after the world goes back to normal and Alvis is trying to take it back to the time halt and he's Moebius A, the beginning. As far as where I fall in that, I feel we may get Shulk and Rex action in both ways. Them trying to stop Alvis before Aionios, then when they are formed through the data of the clashed worlds, their Aionios selves get to the point of trying to do the same thing again and destroy Moebius again, but that fight being how they lose an arm and an eye. There's a LOT of possibilities
Also remember that was stated that Artifice Aion would destroy all alrest and also could kill the Architect that is equal or stronger than Zanza, and Rex and Pneuma defeat it including mahlos
@@MetaSF_ absolutly, and also you got a partner (more like two), the best cook and the best tsundere + absolute control of físico laws of the existence (with pneuma’s Aegis sword)
You should make a video putting against the main parties of the 3 xenoblade games. Some say that the xc1 party is weak but I feel they match up nicely with the other two since they use gems. It’s never shown how much gems like strength gems actually influence the party but it is shown with the speed up gems that they do make a great difference in their power so u can assume that strength up and ether make them super human and on top of that they have the buffs of the monado and future sight from shulk. Xc2 has blades and everything. Xc3 party has military training, gems, power frames, core crystals, lucky 7, and ouroboros, but they don’t have any future sight or reality bending like shulk and Rex have. I think it would make for an interesting video :)
That's actually a really fun idea, I had a similar one of doing Persona 3 4 and 5 parties but for the xenoblade parties that sounds mad fun, SUPER big project lol, wouldnt stop me tho so I'll absolutely write that down for one to do in the future 👌
Having all three aeigises being lesser than the Monado and the Architect makes sense. The trio (before Ontos dipped and went to XC1) were supposed to monitor the world Klaus remade, not create, shape, or destroy it.
Yea, and I feel that's what made them all interesting. Given their different roles and the worlds made, they sort of adapted in different manners because they're, for lack of better term, biological beings (assuming the zohar in xenoblade is natural which it seems to be), that are able to operate in an artificial manner but with biological makeups. So seeing them stray into different behaviors and powers is all very interesting and goes a long way to world building
The monado honestly even without it's immense power it's the most versitile keep in mind because it's influenced by it's wielder it's shape can also change (i.e. myneth's being dual short blades or the monado II just being a slightly bigger and more imposing monado I)
That's true, and I love a versatile weapon/tool, especially if it's incredible at being versatile to the point of people sayin the whole "master of none" thing doesn't matter cause it literally can reach points of mastery in every actual field lol
If u just want a cool sword then no wrong answe. But god damn it. The aegis and monado uave been shown to not cut through some materials. Lucky seven has been shown to cut through damn near ALL materials with onlg origin metal stopping it outright to my knowledge.
Only thing to stop Lucky 7's blade from what I remember is Origin Metal I think but when I think of N's sword, his that clashed with Matthew's Gauntlets, Shulk's Replica Monado, Rex's Firelight Blades etc and I don't think it's supposed to be as sharp as Lucky Seven? Cause it's not like N had his own version of Riku that made him one. I think N's isn't as sharp as Lucky 7 But the next best thing, it just looked mad strong cause of N's speed
@MetaSF_ last I checked. Lucky 7 and N's sword are identical in what they are made of and the replica monados....well have we EVER seen a monado vreak? Even. Replica. I will admit rex's swords are a conundrum as we have seen the aegis blade break before. But maybe just really good ether control to shield it from damage? I dunno
@MetaSF_ also I'm im ignoring Matthews gauntlets as they and Noah's sheath for lucky 7 are made of the same material. And that was never cut by lucky 7. Indicating that origin metal and whatever material aegis blades are made of seems to be impervious to th3 destructive ability of lucky 7. As an extra note. The ONLY time a Monado was broken was when both zanza and meyneth's monados broke under the power of shulks true monado when he dealt the killing now to zanza at the end of XC1. So the only thing tk outright BREAK a monado...is another .ore powerful monado
@@SonicBlast4444 but another thing, in Chapter 6 when Noah in his interlink pulled out that Sword of Origin, it broke N's sheath, so at the very least THOSE arent the same material but...that also seems weird. Actually the replica monado makes sense cause shulk made it be able to actually be a monado really as he could still use its arts but with Rex's blades, I got nothin LOL. You're right though, the Monado is just different, it hasnt really ever broken. Even a close replica of it. I assume Rex's blade are similar but hes not a mechanist like shulk lol those are not his handiwork, at least if he made them pre-aionios
@MetaSF_ again. Only time a monado ever broke was when both zanza and meyneths monados broke by the force of shulks TRUE monado in the final battle. But even thay can be more due to will power than actual material or anything as no monado has been shown to break outside of this. As for N's sheath breaking. Keep in mind the sword of origin allows them to break the cycle in ionis and even defy the natural order of things. The sheath for N's sword is Logos aegis material while Matthews gauntlets and Noahzs sheath for lucky 7 are the pneuma aegis material. The sheaths can break. Its just takes alot. It took jin going full powe in tantal to break pyra/mythras aegis sword in xc2. Here it took the sword of origin to break the logos sheath for N's sword of the end/lucky 7. However the blade itself, lucky 7/sword of the end has never been shown to break and has only failed to break through origin metal. Which neither sheathe was made of. Nor were the flame clocks. However the XC3 parts weapons are upgraded with origin metal including sheath noah has so therefore Lucky 7s sheath WONT break from either sword. The logos sheath for N's sword of the end did not get upgraded with origin metal. Hence it was able to be broken by the sword of origin. So the only monado breaking was done by the TRUE monado which to date is the most powerful of all the monados. The aegis swords and the material they are made of which I'm just gonna called ether metal for sake of simplicity CAN break under enough bressure such as with Jin in tantal or from the sword of origin. However Lucky 7/the sword of the end has not shown to be able to break in any capacity. Really makes it hard to view either of the other 2 as more powerful when they can be broken. Albeit in the monados case only under VERY specific circumstances. It was only zanza and meyneths that broke. No monado used by shulk has ever broken. Not even the replicas.
I'm confused. I was under the assumption that the Monado was part of the Aegis Three, but Alvis ended up being isekai'd during Klaus' nonsense. Plus Ontos controls creation, Pnuema controls space and time and Malos wields Destruction itself. They are the laws of the world personified. So they are one and the same
on a basic level you could say they're the same but because they also have the components of being people, experiencing different things and being amongst different power bases, beyond their roots they evolve to different degrees, is essentially what I was going about saying
@@MetaSF_ yeah but that's like saying for example which race of humans is the strongest. Sure there would be another topic but at the end of the day, regardless of your skin color you're still human. If that makes sense
@@SirStrikeFreedom nah not like that, it's more like 2 species of the same animal living in different parts of the world, they're the same animal but bound to change and adapt differently due to experiences within each and will be capable of and used to different things due to habitat, more like that
@@MetaSF_ none of the monado/aegis trio evolved or got stronger in anyway. They remained as strong as they were born save for Malos. Same beings. Different looks
It's SO COOL RIGHT? I couldn't blame someone for wanting that arm gauntlet after drawing a sword from your normal sword like its a sheathe, so clean man
It's actually probably stronger. It slashes at a speed faster than light, is able to cut through anything, is able to destroy conduit/zohar replicas that are able to create universes and gnosis (Orgin and Z). It's able to destroy universes while the monado can make them.
Would having the Sword of Origin also include having the powers of an Ouroboros? It could be argued that being Ouroboros is a prerequisite to wielding it, akin to chosen one status, but if it's part of the kit, then you do have expanded options. While class changing is a bit far out to be considered part of the Sword of Origin's personal toolkit, the fact that you can combine the arts of other classes with the Sword of Origin's own, i.e. fuse other weapons and their moves into the Sword of Origin's own, does give it enhanced versatility.
I’d say the Sword of the End would be my choice. It’s just badass. A gauntlet, sheath, & an ultra vibration hyper focused blade that can slice through & deflect (through vibrations) anything?! Heck YES! Though, the Aegis comes with hot chicks….that may be enough of an argument to sway me…
I would choose the Aigis because moving at light speed is insane I wouldn’t need to be strong and hit hard if I can hit you a million times and you wouldn’t be able to hit me with fore sight and my speed and otherwise I would not be able to convince myself I can do it.

XC1, the progenitor - Monado is used for Creation (In story, recreation)
XC2, the sequel - Aegis/Holy Grail is used for Manipulation (In story, saving the dying world, prolonging its existence)
XC3, the finalle - Lucky 7 is used for Destruction (In story, ending the endless now and letting both worlds be eradicated so the worlds can be reborn)

That's true, I be abusing tachyon slash in combat its so broken LOL. But yea those are some good picks, Malos' Monado kinda underrated tbh
One more thing for pneuma: In the cutscene in the world tree, when fighting jin, he mentions rex being able to manifest what he imagines, which while not really used in the game, is still an incredibely strong aspect.
that is an incredibly strong asset, but also for rex yea he doesn't really utilize it to an extreme, which is on par for his character
@@MetaSF_ Yeah Rex really holds back most of the time, thats just his character ig.
They were planting the plot seeds from the very start.)
Also yooooo the Unpainted in the outro got me hyped
Since Alvis is also an Aegis I guess it’s just who’s the strongest sibling between Pneuma, Malos and Alvis along with lucky seven
that's actually a funny way of looking at it
i think ontos/alvis/alpha/A is definately the strongest of the three considering in one he acted as zanzas minion but was actually seemingly above him in godhood eing able to lead shulk to surpass zanzas power and his resurrected form in future redeemed was split in two people yet both were still powerhouses, one could bind Z himself and the other was equivelent to an ouroborus. only thing he lacked compared to his sibiling were giant space mechs but honestly i dont think he needed them
Aegis sword, hear me out, broken reality bending sword with pneuma + a girlfriend. I don't see no drawbacks aha

Noah Draws Lucky 7 and combo smashes everything
he ain't gonna sugarcoat it
Aegis: Can flatout re-write the very rules of the world.
I was just thinking about this. I began a fresh replay on my channel.
If the Ether can also cancel self-generated sonic booms, I think I know how I'm travelling from now on lol
Also as a potential bonus, if Pneuma's core crystal has ANYTHING to do with Ouroboros powers, that's a hard YES PLEASE.
I feel like the suit from the connection with Pneuma that Rex got helped his body handle the strain of the extreme power he was utilizing, similar to how a transformation would be to handle the necessary increase in power, but either way I still can't blame people's biggest reason for choosing Pneuma being the social aspect, it's a huge component that can go a long way so can't blame y'all 😤
This video is so high quality, and Xenoblade content is always welcome. You have earned yourself a new subscriber!

I am glad that I found your channel it the only thing making my do side quest
Glad that you found your way here too, Im in that Xenoblade high right now lol funny cause I dont think im ever out of it
#Monado
It is the OG blade of Xenoblade, it looks cool and slick as frick, and if its power comes from will, I think it would be a great sword for me.
After that DLC this whole conversation is now quite something..
yea, still streaming through it but the fact that you're not the first person to say something like this, makes me wish I could make an addendum and add more onto the Sword of Origin section lol, but I still heavily appreciate the incredible support on this video no matter what. Glad this DLC can make even more conversation

@@rghennig1 That's true, or just a followup about new Sword of Origin details and I roast myself for this timing lol, still funny though I'm definitely considering it, plus I don't entirely get what exactly Noah's Sword of Origin has embedded
What a good Thumbnail, i notice all the effort that went into it!
That makes me very happy, probably the most conflicted I've been in the start of the design phase but eventually this end product just flowed naturally, glad you like it!
@@MetaSF_Its actually so good, i came back to it just to find the image!
Crazy how fully circle it all still comes
You basically have to choose between a _god,_ 1 of 2.5 _angels,_ or a _really, really sharp sword._ Like, it's *_really_*_ sharp, dude._ (So sharp it can literally _cut through time!)_
Love how trying to talk compare these swords ends up leading to character analysis and one's cooking skills.
Having a weapon that can cook meals sounds way more practical than any kind of ether disruption.
now THAT would save mad time, but I'd also wanna cook for them to have cooking contests like it's kirby
came for that fire thumbnail but stayed cuz the video fire too daym
Yea I admit, cant blame you for wanting their company, thats quite the people to be around lol especially as people
New dlc basically says lucky seven has the same power of an aegis (logos which is synonymous with what he represents: destruction)
Combine that with the veiled sword gauntlet which is implied to have pneuma’s core and I’d say Noah is the strongest out of the protagonist trio.
@@MetaSF_ awesome, will check it out
I just wanna say that Lucky Sevens Ultimate definitely adds the most reliably usable and fun gameplay mechanic - even if it's horrendously OP for like 98% of Enemies. I mean it basically transforms Noah into Sephiroth.
I feel like this needs to be redone given revelations gained through Future Redeemed

For me personally I’m gonna go for the monado aswell because it’s such an amazing weapon and have the ability to change the future is a must.
I hope you do one on the Buster sword from final fantasy VII
The Monado is so hard to pass up for sure, and the Buster Sword is a great idea, I'll keep that in mind for potentially one down the line if it has enough to it and just figure out what to pit it against 🤔
@@MetaSF_ yeah the Monado is so iconic hence it’s my second favourite weapon in any video game.
To me, they each represent something vital to the human existence that is even capable of cutting down God:
Monado 3 = Self-determination
Pneuma's Aegis Sword: Weaving bonds
Lucky Seven = Letting go
Altogether, I think a lot of people have found these qualities reflected in themselves, myself included, and that has informed us of what we are as information-processing beings.
sharp stick go break -> topple -> launch -> smash #SwordOfOrigin
He aint gonna sugarcoat it 😤
The Aegis gives you 3 swords and 3 waifus so power scaling aside the Aegis wins with the power of anime tiddies.
According to a lot of others in my comments, they on the same wavelength 🤭
As XC2 being the first one i played, Aegis sword has huge place in my heart
Yea I can't blame you then on that one, all these are strong picks man, so good
The Aegises are pretty much equal in power.
You need so much more subs
Aye man, stick around for the ride and you'll see my sub count grow with me, I enjoy this so much, and I appreciate you bein here already 👌🏾
the part about pyra is wrong 10:12
(Sorry im a year late) but pyra was made out of *everything* mythra was not such as this example, a good cook
well, I both agree and disagree but that's because they're just good complex characters. On a surface level you could call them as I guess "opposites", but on a deeper side they both have aspects that one would assume the other has. Like pyra actually can be pretty selfish and secretive, and mythra is surprisingly thoughful and considerate. So yes but nah but also yes
@@MetaSF_ yeah, you phrasedi it right (and better than me)
One thing I must add is that the Aegis has the power of creation, any attack they want to do they can do with their imagination and this is reflected in the gameplay, it's pretty cool and nice vid :^)
You're right it is pretty cool lol, Glad you enjoyed!
The editing on the video is top tier and super clean good stuff man🙏🔥
That means a lot, I appreciate it 🤝
Correct answer is receding rust from X, that thing one-shots planetkillers (might just be a thing with Cross but still)
I would pick the SRM-XR3150 DARKGOD (aka the Vita's sword) but even if it looks cool it's way too big to use, I don’t have a mech lol
Lets throw in another Xeno weapon in the mix, Weltall.
Though if we're being honest, these are some OP weapons and can't go wrong with any of them
it's kinda wild how completely broken they keep making these tools man LOL
This is the monado’s power !
Just commenting how legendary that thumbnail is, have a good day!
Thanks a lot! Took some thinking to get something cohesive but it all came out great, I appreciate the kindness
#Aegis, being able to switch between Pyra, Mythra, and Pneuma can open a wide variety of attacks and combos
Same
I think I would go with Lucky Seven because it's either that , Shulks toy from toys r us, or having a big chested anime girl next to me that even if they're a little upset they're not as strong plus lucky seven just looks cool especially saying it can literally cut through reality to the point when noah is fighting humans he has to use the dull edge of the sword
I'll have to go with the Monado also, can't pass up this nostalgic sword for any other
I know right, I keep saying it but look at the very TITLE SCREEN of xenoblade 1, so much said from so little.
(Ignore that part, I just wanted to add that fact because of my love for the series)
Overall, here is my choice and ranking of the 3 sword
1. Aegis
2. Monado
3. Sword of Origin.
Monado: You literally have the power of creation
Aegis: You have a free harem
Lucky 7: It's reeaaaaaallly sharp
But what's the choice ✍✍✍
major kudos for the NEO TWEWY track use!
Glad you're also a very cultured individual 🤝
Sounds like completely broken sword in game combat AND in lore lol, me personally I'd rather not have a weapon thats like an entire other person or where I can be ok and they arent and im at a disadvantage but it's still a pretty incredible point of advantages too
Mad bias as Xenoblade 2 was my first game in the series but I have to go with the Aegis. Specifically Mythra's sword, that's my favorite design.
TRUE, choosing between these can be mad hard so I respect it lol
It doesn't have foresight. It has visions. Foresight gives you 8 seconds to dodge an incoming attack while visions allow you to see into the future and predict what your enemy's next move is.
Subscribed dope channel wish I found it sooner
I appreciate that a lot, the content will keep on coming and I'm glad you're here now, the growth isnt gonna stop 😤
Sword of Origin/End being Pneuma and Malos is lol
wasn't exactly sure but quite a revelation at least for that and Matthew's Knuckles lol
Btw Pneuma has way longer foresight than monado, torna dlc shows she's able to see Rex 300 years in the future.
500, which is even better
But yeah I get your point in saying people may want to fight alone, which pneuma usually just supports you from behind if anything in actual battles anyways, it'd be almost no different, pretty sure Ontos is the equivalent of pneuma anyways in reference to making the Monado in the first place, so each has their "baggage"
Again not discredit your choice for cooler blade, but it's definitely not the strongest blade lol, easily the most broken blade in the series.. and actually fun fact, but it would be even stronger in game, but Pneuma is stuck at trust rank E since you can't open the menu while she's out, so even in game you're only using her at like 40%? of her actual strength that S rank would unlock, iirc E to S is like 160% better damage and higher multipliers on specials etc.
If you're a fast learner and a very compelling type, you might be able to undertake the aegis
Don't try the monado, especially if it's the monado 1, only gods can wield it with no consequences. Never consider this sword unless you can conjure your own.
Then I first saw the thumbnail i thought it was only one Aegis, but both together might stand a chance against the Monado. #Aegis
Can't just have 2 without the whole trifecta you feel me, Malos GOTTA be in the mix to make it even more interesting 😤
You kinda need to do an updated video now with Future Redeemed's additional lore on Lucky Seven....
@@MetaSF_ yeah Future redemmed was so confusing but amazing at the same time xD
@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 I LOVED IT so much, and it really was well done. My biggest things are I wish we got an epilogue of the base 3 cast in the reunified world, AND they were more clear about like 3 plot points instead of leaving it to a lil degree of assumption. It's like I still get it at the end of the day but I wished they would be more straight up in some areas ya know
My ultra diamond candela in Xenoblade X
respect
The Monado so unique and resounding that they already knew all they needed for that title screen, so incredible
It‘s the legendar sword of xenoblade x. Shoutout to my nopons 🔥
🤝🤝🤝
What I gathered from the thumbnail was Aegis vs. Aegis vs. Sword of Origin
🤔
The XC1 Alvis retcon makes the Monado an Aegis weapon, or at least puts an Aegis weapon into the game
Pneuma Aegis sword my favorite and the one I choose
Also remember that was stated that Artifice Aion would destroy all alrest and also could kill the Architect that is equal or stronger than Zanza, and Rex and Pneuma defeat it including mahlos
And in the xc3 volum 4 taser we se Rex make a doble wielding of Pyra and mythra sword
That sword absolutely is way cooler than Mythra and Pyra's alone
@@MetaSF_ absolutly, and also you got a partner (more like two), the best cook and the best tsundere + absolute control of físico laws of the existence (with pneuma’s Aegis sword)
@@MetaSF_ but if I can’t have Pyra or Mythra’s Driver… I’m ok being Jin’s driver
Can't wait for Xenoblade 4 where we find the Xenoblade
they just gotta fuse their weapons like a Megazord and they'll unlock the true Xenoblade
@@MetaSF_ persona parties would also make for a good video. This video was enjoyable btw keep up the good work
@@jl_510 I appreciate the love, thanks for watching and I definitely will keep it up 👌🏾
Having all three aeigises being lesser than the Monado and the Architect makes sense.
Gotta go with lucky 7! Yeah it’s the weakest, but idea of drawing a sword from another sword is just to epic
I think the Monado is the superior blade and its so iconic! BUT if im wielding any its gotta be the Aegis for the companion 🤣
LOL, you got it bro, you not the only one, have at it 🤭
The Aegis clearly. It comes not only with a sword, but two hot waifus.
a steadily increasing opinion here ✍🏾
Would having the Sword of Origin also include having the powers of an Ouroboros?
It could be argued that being Ouroboros is a prerequisite to wielding it, akin to chosen one status, but if it's part of the kit, then you do have expanded options.
While class changing is a bit far out to be considered part of the Sword of Origin's personal toolkit, the fact that you can combine the arts of other classes with the Sword of Origin's own, i.e. fuse other weapons and their moves into the Sword of Origin's own, does give it enhanced versatility.
I would say it doesn't include Ouroboros cause they aren't exactly exclusive to the Sword of Origin that way
I’d say the Sword of the End would be my choice. It’s just badass. A gauntlet, sheath, & an ultra vibration hyper focused blade that can slice through & deflect (through vibrations) anything?! Heck YES! Though, the Aegis comes with hot chicks….that may be enough of an argument to sway me…
You'd be surprised how many people were swayed with 0 hesitation, stay strong soldier
I would choose the Aigis because moving at light speed is insane I wouldn’t need to be strong and hit hard if I can hit you a million times and you wouldn’t be able to hit me with fore sight and my speed and otherwise I would not be able to convince myself I can do it.
The monado : wow there it is !
