This is in my opinion THE most underrated FF song and one of the most underrated indie rock songs of the century.....simply amazing!! It blew me away since day 1 and still does after sooo many years.... I'm glad it has over 1 million views now :)
Me too..glad that as a 1990 born person I had 90's-early 2000's as my childhood and rest of the 2000's as my teenage years..in the prcess I loved alternative rock and Indie rock in the mainstream as a teenager. The teens these days are unlucky not to see these genres in the mainstream.
Nick McCarthy said the band members were “hidden somewhere in the video, along with several hidden easter eggs.” brb spending the rest of my 2020 rewatching this and trying to find all of them
Possible band member cameos are hard to see in realtime: 00:10 (guy in hoodie), 1:04 (car and pedestrian), 2:29 and 3:05 (running past pedestrians). Let me know what you all think.
This, "All for You Sofia", and "Wine in the Afternoon" are my three favourite FF songs and none of them ever appeared on a major studio album. Mystifying.
Every few months or so I remember this tune and goodness me it makes me smile. Take Me Out ushered me into adulthood but L.Wells will always take me back to when I was a teen first in love :-)
Really, I need this life. If some dude is reading this and you're a franz fan and like wine contact me... Just kidding. I love the way FF play live, they're gorgeous as musicians and persons.

I would walk over broken glass just to take Lindsey Wells out. Fell in love with her the first time i saw this video and still come back to revisit to cheer myself up after a bad day!
Great Western Wind catches in your Celtic hair Flicks it round your face like flames around the sun In the bright cold air you seem as innocent and fair As Rita Tushingham in 1961 Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel so good I wish that I could be as good as you Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel the good Beyond the poison in us like you do LP records in your little hands Put them on your little dansette for a dance All those men sing you'll never walk alone But you'll never let them break your little heart. Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel so good I wish that I could be as good as you Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel the good Beyond the poison in us like you do If you have some sort of secret If you need someone to tell You can tell me Because my memory Always fails I will forget And your secret Will remain Yes the secret The secret Will remain Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel so good I wish that I could be as good as you Well, Lindsey Wells How I wish that I could feel the good Beyond the poison in us like you do

La canción, no se porque, me hace sentir en otra época, será porque está en blanco y negro¿? NO TENGO IDEA pero me gusta, sinceramente, de las mejor de Franz Ferdinand, sin duda alguna.
No I understand that Franz Ferdinand the band is named after the archduke, but what I found amusing was the fact that John Green named the girl in his book the same title as one of their songs.
Has anyone read the book "An Abundance of Katherines" by John Green? Because they discuss the archduke Franz Ferdinand a LOT and they go to see his supposed grave and the tour guide girl is named "Lindsey L. Wells" and I just about died with the irony. Either John Green is literally the best witty man alive or its a coincdence, I thought it was FANTASTIC.
I came to listen to this song because someone asked this question on the Q&A page of Katherines. John says it must be a coincidence because she was called that before this song existed.
This has such the feel of a Beatles' song, I am not sure why but it definitely has that mid 1960s feel to it, and it doesn't help that Lindsey is wearing clothes from the 60's either.
@HauntedandEnchanted Although I'm not sure, I believe John named his character Lindsey Wells as an allusion/ShoutOut to this song. And also, this is an awesome song by Franz Ferdinand

They copy Fatboyslim, he are always hide in his music videos 😺

I shaked Alex's hand yesterday at their live show, hell yes!
I think they just looked for the happiest girl they could find in Edinburgh and followed her around all day.
And then theywe making the wine afternoon with her
Coolest Scottish girl 👍

Wow I had no idea about this song's existence few minutes ago even though I have FF collection! The song is pretty good! Really overlooked song!
one of the most innocent songs of Franz Ferdinand
It's probably most natural and most beautiful music video i've ever seen
Every few months or so I remember this tune and goodness me it makes me smile. Take Me Out ushered me into adulthood but L.Wells will always take me back to when I was a teen first in love :-)

I enjoy most of this band's material, but I especially like this song.
60's french movie vibes. Reminds me of masculin feminin.

@SparklyCheeseburger You can still buy the Fallen single, with this song and another b-side "Jeremy Fraser". It's worth the purchase.
I love this song so much! It really doesn't get enough attention. This girl looks a lot like Jenna Coleman, Whovians, you'll know who I mean!
This has such the feel of a Beatles' song, I am not sure why but it definitely has that mid 1960s feel to it, and it doesn't help that Lindsey is wearing clothes from the 60's either.
This song is very 1960'ish, but I don't agree about The Beatles. It's pretty much the mod sound like early The Who or The Small Faces
They literally mention 1961 in the video.
