Very interesting the way you put that.. by embassies of the celestial there can be only one meaning and always has been.. there are 7 "embassies " just as there are 7 churches, Samson 7 locks of hair. Jacob's 7 years of labor, Joseph and his 7 years of famine etc etc .. every time you see 7 they are taking about the celestial ambassadors the same 7 that gives us the names of the days of the week the 7 planets of antiquity...I know that's not what you mean but you religious zealots have by idea the Bible in all allegories and it's all retold pagan myths

I waited for years to go through the temple with a husband. In 2016 in the beginning of a divorce I chose to take myself through. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life. I was 36 years old and had never felt so beautiful in my entire life. The best way to describe it was it felt like going home. Everything felt familiar to me. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Still a single mom today hopeful to find my eternal companion and share in this beautiful experience together.

That was a very good timing for you while going through a divorce to chose to go to the temple . I’m sure it helped you through your trials . That’s wonderful you felt peace there . I hope you get your desires . You are very beautiful and so is your little daughter. May God bless you as a single mom. You can do hard things . Keep your testimony and stay on the covenant path . Thanks for sharing . I can relate.

Ok… This was hands down one of the best podcasts I’ve ever heard. You guys have such an amazing chemistry together! David needs to move to Utah so that you can do this on a weekly basis. You guys are just so perfect together. You have very different backgrounds, but you compliment each other so well! You seem so natural together. The conversation was deep, uplifting, thoughtful, and inspiring and it just flowed so nicely. I didn’t even realize that an hour had gone by. I could listen to you guys every single day. If there were such rankings, I truly believe that you guys would be the #1 LDS podcast by far. I loved every minute of it. I didn’t want it to end. I’m huge fans of both of your channels so to have you together is like a Dream Team. It’s like the LDS Avengers or something! 😂 PLEASE guys, make it happen! Make this your full time job. You’d be #1. There are over 17 million LDS so you’d get 100k+ subscribers easily and can live off ad revenue! This could be your dream job. Just talking about the gospel every week!

15:04 love this. This is the same thing Alma was saying when he said ‘That is not the meaning of the word restoration.’ God can’t restore wickedness for righteousness, but he that is wicked will be wicked still and he that is righteous will be righteous still. The atonement doesn’t take away our responsibility to repent and become more like him, it gives us the opportunity to repent.

David, you are almost surely already endowed. Jesus has the power and authority to endow anyone when and where he pleases. What happens in the Temple IS NOT endowment, it is the Presentation of the Endowment. This is not me saying this, it is a core teaching of Anthony Sweat at BYU. You can and will receive even more power as you continue to grow in Christ and serve in the Temple. My favorite ordinance in the Temple is being sealed to my eternal companion. Giving your life to one other is incredibly transformative as you obediently live out that covenant.

The Gospel, first from You Tah, now from You Tube, aka You Too Be.
God reveals Himself in the very words we use. The most evident being that all power in creation comes from the Sun, and all power, in all existence, comes from the Son.
This morning, God revealed to me the similarities between the word Utah and the word UA-cam. Utah became Utah by divine accident, the pioneers had proposed Deseret.
From Utah, the fullness of the Gospel is spreading to every tribe, tongue, and nation.
And now, Utah is supplemented greatly by UA-cam, UA-cam is reaching more people, faster, with the true and restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And it's happening with faithful UA-camrs, people like David Alexander, Greg As Cwic, Jeff McCullough, Kwaku El, and many, many more. None are perfected yet in their theology, but all are willing to commit their lives to spreading the Gospel as they understand it.
And it is this willingness that God most enjoys. He knows we make mistakes and travel the wrong path at times, yet He is always there for us as we turn back to Him and the Truth that is Jesus Christ.
The word UA-cam can be parsed as You Too Be. For that is the effect of spreading the Gospel. You, too, can Be as Christ. You can be all that you were born to be, you can be a king of Kings, and a lord of Lords, even a god of Gods.
Come, follow Jesus, and follow me, and follow all the true saints, prophets, and apostles as we all follow Jesus to His glory,
      forever and ever, amen.
This was my Facebook post this morning at my Treyeshua Tomeny page. I wanted to share it special with you, Parker.

I love this discussion! Thank you very much! It reminds me of the great Neal A Maxwell and his talk the Tugs and Pulls of the World in Oct 2000
"Granted, some sincerely wish for more power in order to do good, but only a few individuals are good enough to be powerful. But craving power and the spotlight sucks out the spiritual oxygen, leaving some “past feeling” (see Eph. 4:19; 1 Ne. 17:45; Moro. 9:20). Strangely, though desensitized, some are still able to hear the beckoning click of a TV camera at a hundred yards. Doesn’t the churning over the places of mortal power remind us of the childhood game of musical chairs?"
But why covet wealth anyway, if we only “spend money for that which is of no worth … [and] which cannot satisfy” (2 Ne. 9:51).

    • @establishingzion688
      @establishingzion688 11 місяців тому +2

Many individuals preoccupied by the cares of the world are not necessarily in transgression. But they certainly are in diversion and thus waste “the days of [their] probation” (2 Ne. 9:27). Yet some proudly live “without God in the world” (Alma 41:11), with gates and doors locked from the inside! Mark it down, brothers and sisters, people too caught up in themselves will inevitably let other people down! Let us adopt the attitude recommended by President Brigham Young: “Say to the fields, … flocks, … herds, … gold, … silver, … goods, … chattels, … tenements, … possessions, and to all the world, stand aside; get away from my thoughts, for I am going up to worship the Lord” (Deseret News, 5 Jan. 1854, 2). There are so many ways to say to the world, “stand aside.”

This dialogue is very inspiring and to the point on many of the challenges we as members as covenant disciples should focus on in our lives. David has repeated on many instances his testimony scriptural references for the building the kingdom and receiving the servant leaders to receive the Savior. Is there any way you can create a concise version of his testimony in this discussion and perhaps others of David’s biblical support for the Latter-day work and how the church is built.

Feeling compassion does make one more inclined to share and love ...for a truth, but also when I don't feel the compassion, that is when pushing myself to serve someone by any means gives loving, sharing and even inviting more momentum. The reward then is the love you felt by acting, and hoping that someone else felt your loving action as an invitation to come or respond.

I would say MOST 19 year old missionaries do not START their mission with a great level of love for the people with whom they share and invite. But AS they study the scriptures, live worthy of the spirit, and attempt to share over many months or several years, their love and compassion increases. Sure, IDEALLY we already have that love from the beginning but if we don't, we can at least begin acting in faith, and as we do, our hearts will increasingly align with our actions. Elder Corbridge gave a great talk on this topic "The 4th Missionary", highly recommend!
