I need to know what it took to get 35"s on there?! I'm going to build the exact same truck. Funny, I already have a Tacoma built the same way but we've out grown it.
Pro Tip...If you're seeing the side of your truck when you look in the side mirrors (07:46 mark in your video) then your mirrors aren't adjusted correctly for your blind spot. They should be adjusted so the side of your vehicle is just outside of the mirrors view. With this setting every car behind you three lanes wide should be visible in at least one of your mirrors. If a car passes or overtakes you on the right or left...as soon as it leaves that side mirror it should appear in the window itself.
The big tow mirrors are a HUGE PLUS for anyone who actuallly tows and for a truck that was built with a ton of focus on towing. Mike Sweers said while testing and creating this truck, different aspects of towing was very important and a huge focus on a great towing truck and they really did do a great job with it cause this truck is the best towing experience I’ve ever had. It’s so effortless, smooth, stable, and I don’t even notice I’m towing a big trailer or boat behind me so it’s great they added the option for these tow mirrors for the tow package. This truck looks so damn good!
7:29 the black wheels, red center caps and white lettering on the tires remind me of a modern version of the back the future truck!! Check out that 4x4.
Great video. I have a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro double cab and in a month it will be two years since my order was fulfilled. I would never ever sell this truck. I've owned a Tacoma V6, F-150 Ecoboost King Ranch, and a GMC Sierra 1500 6.2L V8, and the Tundra with Fox shox is the most comfortable truck I have ever driven. I love the simplicity of it's interior, I love the seats which are very comfortable for long trips (the GMC were the worst seats I've ever had in a vehicle), and it tows better than any truck I have owned. I have 42,008 miles on it now and I think it is the best highway cruising engine ever. I just got back from a two week vacation taking the family from central Texas to West Virginia, and with wife, three kiddos, and a 6,500 lbs camping trailer, I got 10.8 mpg the entire way there and back. My F-150 Ecoboost averaged around 7.5-8 mpg, and the GMC Sierra averaged around 10 mpg. My kids are older and bigger now then during those days. Twin turbos suck ass for towing. Anyway, great video and its a shame you sold that 2021 Tundra.
The 2023 Tundra has got me seriously considering Toyota for the first time. Im traditionally a Big 3 shopper. Not really "Brand loyal" per say. I Love the TRD Pro trim and styling, I just wish they would offer it with a 6.5' bed. I know the idea behind TRD is Off-Road, shorter wheel base, blah blah blah. But with the costs of these trucks nowadays, you should be able to order them dang near "A La carte".
@@Rylanhere A nice V8 is definitely preferable but 437hp and like 540lb ft of torque is solid for what it is, better than alot of competitors and it’s a Toyota so it should be quality
I agree on the a la carte side. at 70k plus there is zero reason to not allow ordering just about any way you want it. but toyota doesn't even work on ordering right now, you get what the dealers are allocated still. you can get the 6.5 in most of the other trims even with the crew max. Which is a new addition for the 22+ models which is nice, but still should offer on the pro.
I ordered this beauty on September 2022, I Got it on February 8, 2023, with some extra features, I finished the papers for $91,000. I drove it 5 miles (Five), and it's in the dealer since last night, 9 features require sensors are not working now, I am not happy. Made in America.
The new Tundra is a truck that has to be done right and with all the options on it for me to like it. This one in the video is freaking beautiful looking and I wish I could afford it. The all blacked out appearance, rims and tires make it perfect.
Thank you! I’m shocked by how much I actually like this black color on the pro. The “loud” parts are subdued by the dark paint -which really adds to it’s overall appeal. 👌
Great review. Black does look amazing for the TRD pro. Black looked good on the Tundra in the previous generation. On an another note - Corwin Toyota in Fargo, ND is a great dealership. I drive 3 hrs to buy my 2021 1794, off-road Tundra there in 2021. They gave me a good price and trade as well. Looking forward to hearing more about your experience with the 2023 TRD Pro
The base model Tundra's are hideous but the TRD pro with some beefier tires looks pretty sweet. Love the way yours looks! Looking to get a new truck sometime next year. Putting in over time every day aiming for a trx but will definitely look into all other options once the time comes.
I’m glad you got back even though it wasn’t your first choice. Kinda cool looking actually. Also, in my opinion when a dealership puts add ons like the PPF, tonneau cover, and door guards and you don’t know about it shows that the dealership is looking out for the customer and not just themselves.
I had a 22 TRD PRO in the same colour. Glad you changed the tires. The Falkens that came standard on mine were SHOCKING in the snow. I just traded it in for a 23 fully loaded Platinum. Only request was KO2s for tires. lol Great truck you have there, I love the black, personally other than it always looks dirty so quickly.
@@condonsautoparts for exactly that reason. The TRD PRO WAS very cool. And now the new one has less of a turning radius, its fuel mileage is not that much better, has fake engine noise and no tow hooks in the front. @Monica when you're talking about half ton pick up trucks, that V8 5.7L Tundra is probably the best truck ever made and you're talking about my ego cause of the sound of that V8? 🤣🤣🤣

I had a 22 TrdOff road and it was a good truck, I now have the 24 Trd Pro and between the two there are some big differences. Hands down the imax engine is much better more power, but also more finicky and it is louder in mechanical noises. The suspension is obviously better off road but not on the street, very bouncy, I thought. I am running duratracs got rid of those crappy wilderpeaks it came with definitely helped out. I have a boat I pull and you cant even tell it has 3000+ pounds on it, I didn't need the tow mirrors guess that's a preference. Interior is nicer looks like they spent a bit longer putting it together. I don't like that you can only use the grill light with the high beams wish i could use it when "I" wanted to. Hate the auto lights on this truck, they move when other cars come in and cut off your lighted path. They should've just left the adjustment wheel like on the regular Tundra. Also the headlights are weird they cutoff maybe 40 ft down the street and you can't see at all, like someone drew a line in the road and the light won't go past that? I really do like the truck much better than my Trd Off road model. But is it worth the extra 25K? If I can get the Trdoff road with the Imax engine then I would definitely go that way! But it wasn't available when I got my pro!
Not to be nitpicky but if you're using your sideview mirrors and can see the side of your truck, you're using them wrong. They are for your blind spots. Traffic in the other lane. Not the side of your truck.
I just bought a 24 TRD Pro and I’m not impressed. I really hate what I paid for it but hey nobody made me buy it. My trade had north of 25k in equity so I ended up financing about 48k. I’m thinking about going back to a Canyon AT4X. I hate the stock tires. The infotainment is weird. The mpg are crap for being a 6. Seats are comfortable
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the Raptor looks like kids Tonka Toy to me, the Tundra limited TRD PRO package is understated but very rugged looking, much cooler rig.
I'm falling more and more in love with this truck. I'm an SUV guy, so I would probably love a Sequioa, but I don't like the light-bar taillights they used for that. Would have preferred the upright verticals, like on this Tundra. I mean, it makes sense, right? Since it competes with the Tahoe, Expedition, & such, but they went ahead and made it look like a Pathfinder, or Traverse. Yuck! Congrats on the truck. Hope you get to enjoy it for many years to come.
Thanks a ton man! It’s a sweet truck… loving it more and more each time I drive it. It’s a blast. I hear you on the sequoia, I’m surprised they did that too for the tails. Good point considering it’s competition. 👌
Would’ve been nice if they had more color options and an option to get black instead of the camo theme. Would’ve loved to get mine in Silver with black instead of camo.
this is a dream truck of mine but I think im too short for a full sized (5'8) but these things are so cool and I love that rear window that can go down thats a big thing for me
Funny thing is I love the look of these new ones but I will miss the V8. But I just bought my first Toyota a 2009 tacoma 4X4 5 speed. Never imagined being outside of a ford but the timing and the fact it had a manual and my car was dead I had to buy something at that moment. Compared to my 07 ranger I had I quality of the tacoma is night and day. Ride quality build quality etc. I love fird but being 21 I need something that will be reliable for a long tine and something I can work with so in comes the tacoma. But I would love to have one of these in a perfect world with a 6 speed manual.
Amazing truck! I love the tech and new redesign. I added the same tires plus the westcott designs leveling kit. I drove my 2022 tundra 4x4 trd off road (non hybrid )from Los Angeles to San Diego, roughly 150 miles. I didn't even get 12mpg. My 2020 sr5 4x4 will give me 11mpg on 35s with a similar setup. Performance wise the new gen feels quicker. I'm not seeing the savings at the pump going from a v8 to this twin turbo. What are you averaging on your mpg's?
@jbw5485 the bigger wheels and lift hurt my mpgs. I can't compare the miles per gallon I got before the lift and tires where installed. I drove the truck for about 40 miles then got the new wheels.
@@condonsautoparts yeah I understand what they claim is different from reality but I’ve watched a few UA-cam videos showing it in the 22 to 24 mpg range. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
We leased a new 2022. I've had the fuel gage misread and now at 8500 miles, the driver's side trim finally broke. Unless Toyota addresses the issues, I won't lease another.
I've owned 2 Tundras 2019 SR5 Double Cab and now a 2020 Limited Crewmax and they both had blind spot monitors and all the new safety features Toyota was putting out. I love the look of the Truck, don't get me wrong. It is amazing looking, but I didn't by a Truck from fuel economy. I love my 5.7L V8 and the sound it makes with my TRD Dual Exhaust system. Everything is preferences and I feel if Toyota just held out 1 to 2 more years and gave people options to either pick the 5.7L V8 or switch to the Twin. Their sales would explode! I love the look of my truck, but wouldn't mind having the new body with the bullet proofing of the 5.7L V8. Ford is putting the V8 back in the Raptor because of what people were saying about the V6. Love the truck, but I just can't get rid of that V8 power and fun.

Thanks man. Only a slight rub at full lock reverse.
Your truck looks amazing! Love the stance! What's the exact tire size on those BFGs? I have the same truck Solar Octane!!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the Raptor looks like kids Tonka Toy to me, the Tundra limited TRD PRO package is understated but very rugged looking, much cooler rig.
Love that beautiful truck!! What Corwin dealer did you buy it at?
Thanks man. The one in Omaha NE.
@UntamedMotors something about the black that sets it off!! Hard to keep clean but worth it!
2021 pro has blind spot monitor and keyless entry btw
About the wheel 35 did u do anything else to the shocks or upgrade?
No other changes made 👍
Would’ve been nice if they had more color options and an option to get black instead of the camo theme. Would’ve loved to get mine in Silver with black instead of camo.
this is a dream truck of mine but I think im too short for a full sized (5'8) but these things are so cool and I love that rear window that can go down thats a big thing for me
You’re are definitely NOT too short for a full size truck! Haha I’m 5’9” and it feels right.
Looks awesome! What size are those BFGs?
beautiful truck buddy I just bought my first Tundra, 2023 4X2 Hybrid Limited. I love it. Sub
Awesome man! Congratulations on your 23 Limited! 👌 Thank you.
Love your truck, but show everything I was looking forward to you opening the hood so we can take a look at the engine to me. That’s the best part.
Thanks man, sorry for leaving that part out!
That thing looks badasss, it’s a beautiful truck, it would be my choice
Funny thing is I love the look of these new ones but I will miss the V8. But I just bought my first Toyota a 2009 tacoma 4X4 5 speed. Never imagined being outside of a ford but the timing and the fact it had a manual and my car was dead I had to buy something at that moment. Compared to my 07 ranger I had I quality of the tacoma is night and day. Ride quality build quality etc. I love fird but being 21 I need something that will be reliable for a long tine and something I can work with so in comes the tacoma. But I would love to have one of these in a perfect world with a 6 speed manual.
What size tires again or are those standard with the truck? Sharp truck.
Are the amber grill lights just a cool thing or are they needed due to the trucks width?
Yes
Did you ever get any info on the driver seat? My 2023 is squeaking as well
I did not, sorry… have you tried taking yours into Toyota? It’ll be a warranty fix. My 23 sequoia did not have the same squeak.
What? I thought the new tundras mpg were at or above 20mph!??
@jbw5485 the bigger wheels and lift hurt my mpgs. I can't compare the miles per gallon I got before the lift and tires where installed. I drove the truck for about 40 miles then got the new wheels.
@@jbw5485 what they claim and reality are very different. 13-16 is real results from most drivers. You can get 18 if you drive with a really lite foot
Long time sub.. do you miss the Land Cruiser?
Haha I did miss it… which is why I’ve since sold my 23 Tundra here and got another 21 heritage edition. =] checkout my latest videos.
Great looking truck! Do your tires rub at all?
Thank you for sharing this!
Can you tell me what tires you have? Any rubbing?
Nice truck, what size is your tires? Did you lift your truck?
Beautiful truck!
Simplemente hermosa!. Congrats 👏 brother.
Thank you 🙏🏼
$80,000 + up here in Canada!
That is one beautiful truck my man.
My uncle bought hey 1987 Toyota forerunner I have no clue he still has it in his garage immaculate he said people are are still paying good money for them around I’m seeing a lot of older Land Cruiser‘s and Toyota pick ups out there👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
As a Trail Boss owner, that’s not a bad looking truck.
Thank you, Clay!
Love the way it looks. Niiice truck 🔥
Keep us update on the electric running board install.
Do your tires rub at all? I’m thinking I want one just like this!
Love the truck! How do the 35’s ride? And how many mpg are you averaging?
Did your friends at Go Rhino say when those drop down running boards are coming out? I saw them on their SEMA video and I am not digging my factory ones. Side note, I got my TRD Pro from the same franchise with my man Jarvis!
Awesome man! 🙌
Yeah they just started selling the e-boards. Got me a set and will be installing next week. =]
@@UntamedMotors thank you! I’ve been watching my their website and haven’t seen it on there. Am I looking in the wrong spot? How did you get them?
@@QBall5280 looks like they sold out quick. The SKU is: 20412680PC
@@UntamedMotors thank you!
Gorgeous!!!!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Nice nice nice truck man👌🏼
Couldn’t find in the video if this one has the factory 3” lift on it?
How much smaller is the rear? Smaller length or width? Amazing truck!
Beautiful truck ❤
Thank you 🙏🏼
