Comparison: imgsli.com/Mjc1Mzk1 I can still see detail in the blacks, my camera makes things look worse than it is, pictures cannot accurately replicate what I see with my eye, especially my cheap phone's camera.
A painfully common thing I see that affects this is that people have their RGB ranges set wrong, resulting in either washed out or crushed colors. Both the outputting device and the display need to be set to full RGB.
as you say in the video majority of the calibration settings found in the internet for gaming monitors are intended for color grading work and not media consumption or gaming, after following this my 27GR93U look better than before, thanks
Hi Hybred, i am from the previous comment on Plasmas channel . I am using ps5 and lg c2 so sharpness setting can only be changed on tv. Can please give me your recommendation. I would really appreciate that as it would help me a lot. I play mostly in performance mode. Do you have any recommendation for that please? Currently i am using super resolution high and sharoness 30 for almost every game and for some 25. Thank you😊
Hey Hybred, you told me on Plasma’s channel that sharpness should depend on upscaling method of the game and its style. I am on ps5, my tv is lg c2. I have super resolution setting set to low sharpness 25. What is your recommendation and can you tech me how can i set up sharpness and super resolution for each game please. Thank you, I would really appreciate if you help me, as i am researching for the past week.
Ive a c1. First thing you do is turn off super resolution my friend. First launch a game thats HDR ready and make sure the console has HDR enabled. Then try my settings: My settings Game mode (to make use of VRR) Panel oled brightness 90 Contrast 80-90 Brightness 45 Color 55-60 Color temp +30 to +50 (more warm is more correct) Sharpness 7 (even 10 is tooo much) Dynamic contrast either on or HGIG (Is more accurate but dims more) and make sure to turn it on on your console Make sure the TVs color gamut is full and set the console to full or both on AUTO. Note: To be honest I prefer to use cinema or Cinema expert mode with the settings I mentioned because it allows me to use gamma Bt1.86 which I like more than Dynamic Contrast, but I dont recommend it because you lose VRR Special advise: Go to TV privacy and turn off ad targeting. Otherwise LG eill know what hentai you like the most.
If you're on a VA-Panel and you reduce black-stabilizer too much, you get worse black-level smearing though, especially on dark scenes. Not a favorable trade in most cases, unfortunately.
I have a va panel and usually have shadow control at 20% below default(below default gives contrast boosts, above default lowers contrast and improve shadow detail) With the right brightness setting per game this still doesnt cause black crush

Hey Hybred,
what LG Monitor are you using?
LG-27GL83A-B
Man I’m tryna do this on my bright rog ally but there’s no monitor settings so I gotta go through all their software 😂😩

Yes this is best for IPS and TN, VA panels already have decent contrast anyways

Watching this on an OLED monitor lol
😃
