These oakywood small acessories are SUPER EXPENSIVE! Bro like come on, only the tech UA-camrs who get these for free can have these. almost $ 100 for a charger, come on!
Literally, Apple sells these for almost same amount of money and people buy it all the time. Clearly there are people that can get it not everything has to be cheap poor quality things just because you can’t afford something.
I had the same issue with the mouse! I recommend you to rest your hand over it, and it will fit perfectly. Also, I recommend you to make movements with the full arm.
Very nice ideas! I have switched to a finger trackball. This has eliminated the pain in my "clicking" finger. For ergonomic typing, I got a Dygma Defy with Kailh Box White switches. Takes some getting used to, but well worth it!
@@TerryX_ This part is very easy. Takes a bit of getting used to with the ortholinear layout and the move of the shift to the thumb buttons, for example 😉.
your videos really stand out. They just happen to be better than 99% of desk setup videos in everything... camera angles, lighting, storytelling, editing, content... This seems like the work of someone who actually enjoys their craft and takes his time
Thanks for this. You gave me an idea to move one of my nicer shelves behind my desk (where my printer currently is). It will make a much nicer background for my video calls. Appreciate it.
You missed on the ergonomic chair . Tell us more about it . Which brand and how long are you using it and make and model along with price when did you pick it up it and where
You don't need a numpad unless your work involves a lot of calculations and someone's waiting for it's result. For instance, the billing section in a supermarket.
We share the like for order and perfect minimalist things, although I can't buy it right now, it's nice to see ideas and who knows, maybe in the future I can. thanks dude!
How did you attached the tabletop to the standing desk frame? I think it's some treaded inserts, are they used with bolts? Did they come with the kit or buy them separately?
You're absolutely right, those are thread inserts. I had to pick them up from the hardware store because the legs came with a tabletop that had pre-installed inserts. The thread inserts are pretty easy to install though, just need to pre-drill a hole and then screw the inserts in.
dude at that point get a 49 inch or 43 inch ultra wide monitor that can do pip picture in picture or picture by picture mode.for me i be going too a single monitor setup but i need one ultra wide that has those modes where i can use 2 things in onei think one of your ultra wides can do that ?
im sorry, what in the world was your DS sitting on?? is that a stand? I heard cololight pics? but I can't find that anywhere. I NEED SOMETHING LIKE THIS ASAP
The DS is sitting on an acrylic stand on top of a Cololight Mix. The lighting effects are pretty cool. Link is in the video description as "shelf light" if you want to check it out!
The mx vertical is GREAT I've been using it for 2 years (give or take) for my work setup, can be used wired or wireless w/dongle (idk if it can be connected straight to your computer's bt). When I switch to my personal pc I kinda miss it. I'm gonna get the smaller version just to check out the differences and test it for gaming and using other non-work software
Damn, your wrists must be in great shape. Yeah, I'm enjoying it so far. And it can connect directly via bluetooth. Let me know how you go with the smaller version. Personally I found it was a bit too small for my hand
beautiful desk.. and, can you pls make a review and experience video of "ergo human" chair you have, how is it for long working hours for you, does it have good back support !? I have the same chair, using it since few years, but not sure if the adjustment set is right because feel that back support is not that great.. would be helpful to all ergo users, thanx
Great Video and love the asthetics! You have both a Mac and a PC, are you running a KVM, or manually swapping out USB-C Ports to run the displays. I have watched a few of your videos, but I have not seen how you are handling this yet.
So the keyboard and mouse both have in-built functions that allow them to switch between multiple devices. So to switch between the PC and MacBook, I need to click a button on the keyboard and mouse. For the displays, the MacBook is plugged into the dock while the PC is plugged into the displays directly. When I turn one of the devices off, the displays have a function that will automatically detect if there is another device plugged in and switch to the active input. If I want to use two devices at the same time though I need to manually change. Hope that helps!
The ugreen nexode mini 65w link isn't working, and i can't find it available anywhere online, including directly from ugreen website. Unfortunate, as this would be the perfect size to fit in my laptop bag vs all other 65w+ chargers which even the GaN are big and bulky
What I don´t understand is why you have the desk in the middle of the room, instead of having it facing a wall? I feel that with the desk in the middle of the room, it uses up too much space.
It's a combination of a couple items. The trolley is a trotten from Ikea, and the caddy and shelves are from Muji. I did a segment on it in another video. Check it out if you need any more details - ua-cam.com/video/hEKK4BPNqC4/v-deo.html
Cool setup dude! What viewport is the vertical monitor? I currently run 34" and wanna switch to 27" + vertical, but I think that 34" will be too much...
Thanks! The 32'' vertical monitor I'm using is definitely getting towards the tall side for me but if you have a 34'' inch already you may as well give it a go
Mouse and keyboard have a built in function to switch between devices, so no need to unplug anything I just have to manually click the switch button. The monitors automatically switch inputs if I turn one of my devices off and plug in a new one. If I want to have both the PC and Mac plugged in, I do have to manually switch though
Thanks! Yeah the Eckbacken is a great looking tabletop. The shelves are the SUS Shelving Units - Wide Large in the light grey from MUJI. They’re called light grey but they’re actually white.
Hi there Terry, Just wondering if you could help me please. You mentioned that you're switching back to the Alogic Blaze dock from the Benq dock, now that you no longer need the DisplayLink software. I've just switched from an M2 MBP to an M3 Pro MBP. The M2 needed DisplayLink software and a DisplayLink dock to run dual displays, but the mouse was always laggy. I'm now using the M3 MBP with the same dock (HP G2) but it doesn't recognise the monitors without the DisplayLink software running. The mouse is still lagging and the computer just isn't as responsive when that software is running or when I am using dual monitors. Does this go away with a non DisplayLink dock? Is it the software? or the computer?
Hey Ben, I haven't had any lagging issues with displaylink docks or regular docks. It could be a number of things that are causing the issue though. The first thing I'd test out are the monitors by plugging the MacBook into them directly. If the monitors work, I'd test out the cables from your MacBooks to your dock and from your dock to the monitors. If it still lags after switching them out, then it's most likely your dock thats the issue since it doesn't seem to work with either of your laptops, but there shouldn't be anything lagging if everything is running correctly. Hope that helps!
@@TerryX_ Thank you for your quick response. The monitor works perfectly when plugged directly into the laptop and the mouse works perfectly with the laptop, as well as the laptop which goes directly to a monitor. I will test it further, but I think it's the HP G2 dock and DispayLink software. I really like the Alogic Blaze, so I think I'll make the jump to that. Thanks again for getting back to me.
Perfect video! I would like to ask you about the macbook, when you stop using it, do you set it to sleep? and when you move your mouse just wakes? Or is there any other option for vertical macbook? Thanks!
Thanks! Yeah you're spot on. When I'm done using it I just put it to sleep. Moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard turns the mac back on. As long as the Mac has power and a display plugged in, and is connected to a keyboard and mouse, this is the default behaviour when the MacBook's lid is closed. Hope that helps
4K displays are not good enough imo. Just the fact that native apple devices are standardised to 218ppi you definitely need at least a 5k display for a monitor of this size
