First Service Costs for my C43 AMG - NIGHTMARE Experience

Just had my first service (Service A) carried out on my Mercedes C43 AMG along with some repair work to get rid of that annoying rattle coming from the panoramic sunroof area. Unfortunately, this all turned into quite the mess and hopefully just a one-off experience from a Mercedes dealership...

What's the nightmare? The cost? You rambled a bit, hard to follow what you were trying to say.
The "nightmare" is the incessant rambling.
That rattle comes from loose gears in the glasses compartment in the roof mount unit. Throw some felt in there and will take care if it. Annoyed me too until I found the cause.
I had the same problem month ago with my Cla 45, rattling in the roof veryyy annoying, when I opened it slightly it was gone. I went to dealership and they used some grease and now I dont have any noise...
Had exactly the same rattle on my c class, after 3 trips to merc, they eventually replaced the seal and noise was cured. Common problem
What is included in the A-service? I have a C43 that is 9 months old
I have a 2020 C43 with panorama roof, so far the car is perfect 👍🏻 I love it

What Mercedes dealers was that
I think the rattle could be from the upper rear lining, especially where there's a plastic fin that meets the rear windshield. Moving that around seems to cause a rattle for me, though I believe you can squeeze some felt in there to make it stop. I know a few people on Mercedes forums have solved the issue doing that, though your rattle could be different.

I find it’s a different ball game when you go to the main dealership. Mercedes-Benz only own 2 dealerships in the UK. That’s Mercedes-Benz Brentford, and Mercedes-Benz Brooklands. All the other dealerships are franchises. I personally only go to the main dealers. Also I think I have had a pleasant experience over the years because I don’t take no shit. Remember, The Best or Nothing... And that’s what I expect.
Haven't done first service yet but definitely bought 3yr maintenance package. That being said expected expensive when I bought
Still happy with C43 over the CLA45? Apart from the rattling sound and the poor Merc aftercare, any regrets buying it?
I drove an A35 today and it made me miss the ‘pocket rocket’ feel of the CLA45 which the C43 lacks...but no regrets so far!
Just got a $5k bill for the major service on my c63s + brake pads on front and rear. At Mercedes in Beverly Hills, so I assume I’m paying too of market prices. Still ouch.
I have a 2017 amg c class coupe, the roof has been stripped twice now but the rattle is back, something to do with the guide rails, gonna have to turn the radio up to cure this one....

Mercedes should stand by their claim of being a premium vehicle and repair annoying rattles for free. Because unless the car has been in some kind of accident, odds are, the rattle is not the owner’s fault

Ha ha . Mercedes customer service.Get used to the service quality. Whatever happens to the car you will be made to feel it’s your fault. Just my opinion obviously.
