I was considering getting a new one but because I do super high mileage by the time I'm ready to part with it it's going to be well used, I'll probably keep it for 5/6 years, hopefully it'll be at least £10k cheaper and I've got a pt ex to wave at MB so I'm hoping £25k + for a used one owner this model being the last in the V6 will likely not depreciate too quickly,,, where did you get your grill installed
I bought the 2018 model last year for £8-£10k less than the 6 month newer facelift model, it was well optioned with Premium Plus, Performance Exhaust plus other extras, and with only 15k miles on the clock. I fit on it the OEM Matt Black 2019 Wheels and the OEM facelift 2019 quad exhausts (easy straight swaps) for roughly £2.5k (plus the Panamericana grill too), so it looks near enough the same as the 2019 facelift model minus the front valances (I prefer the ones on the pre-facelift anyway). Best thing is I sold my old wheels for £1.5k, so the upgrades actually only cost me around £1k in total. All in all, going for the older model (only 6 months older) saved me several thousand pounds, and really the only thing I'm missing is the nicer steering wheel and UI (not worth anywhere close to £7k to £8k extra imo), but on the plus side the pre-facelift model does have slightly louder, more aggressive sounding upshifts and downshifts, and believe it or not, higher low end torque too. A lot of people don't realise the extra 30bhp on the facelift is to somewhat compensate for the new OPF filters, which is why you'll notice both the facelift and pre-facelift actually get the same 0-60mph and quarter mile times, and why the pre-facelift actually tunes better than the facelift (gets better performance gains from remaps and chips). Hell, the best I've had from Draggy for my stock engine 2018 C43 is 0-60 in 4.1s (on new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires), which is ever so slightly quicker than ABAUTO's 2019 models 4.2s. So for me the facelift at the current price discrepancy, simply wasn't worth the difference. In the end I put the extra money towards other investments, which seemed more worthwhile, plus savings towards buying an E63S next lol. There is one potential advantage to the new facelift that I don't see mentioned much however, and that is that in Sport+, it doesn't jerk or bunny hop quite as easily or as much at low speeds as the pre-facelift model can. This is because they've reduced the torque output and gearing ever so slightly on the facelift for a smoother more comfortable low end Sport+ power delivery, but it does mean you don't always get the exact same visceral bite or kick back punch as with the pre-facelift model. Which of the torque curves you prefer will ultimately be subjective, and there's very little in it.
Appreciate the attention to detail in this post! And I agree, if you’ve near matched it the facelift for so much less money then definitely worth the saving overall
2017 and 2019 models seem more expensive in Germany. I'm looking at a 2017 model which the garage is asking 43,995 euros and 2019 are ranging from 50-57k but no facelift grills which is strange. Forgot to mention I drive a GLC250 and it has increased in price.

Just pulled the trigger on a pre-facelift 2018 C43 saloon - I would have liked to stretch to the facelift model, but for me, the premium you have to pay to get there wasn't worth it. I'm happy with the standard look of the older model, in fact I'm going to de-badge mine, as I don't want to attract too much attention. Also, it looks as though M-B stopped fitting the panoramic sunroof on the facelift Premium (not Premium Plus) model, which was essential for me. The main thing I'm disappointed to miss out on is the digital dials, and the new steering wheel - I completely agree with you that this is going to make the older model date much more quickly, but still, I'm very happy with the package as a whole.
Im thinking about getting a 2020 for 48k without the cool speed gauges and toggles on the wheel - but its still a nice wheel. Is this a good deal you think?!
for everything in current C class to stand out, should just go for C63s instead and it’s has a real hand built AMG engine no more argument between C43 versions
Big argument c43 with just a simple ecu tune is faster than a c63. Add a ecu tune to both cars and the c43 still wins because the c63 will start spinning it’s tires 😂😂😂
There was some reduction in the actual list but not much. However, the list doesn't really mean much when financing, it's all about interest rates, contributions etc - check out some of my other videos where I go more into detail on financials

Virtual/digital displays in my opinion look cheap and tacky. Rather have physical analog dials and gauges, just feels and looks much more engaging, rather than staring at a 2D screen.
Very good video with interesting points raised. Money was the factor for me so I went for a pre facelift. Looking at modding the exterior with either the pre facelift c63 exhaust tips or post facelift C43AMG exhaust tips. Assume new diffuser would be required. Where in the north west could do this for me as assume Mercedes dealer would be £££££££, thanks in advance Nick. Oh by the way if C43AMG are “your thing” pop along to my channel too please 😊😊
