- Hey guys! So my CLA 45 AMG 2020 just got back from getting its first service done which is Service A for all Mercedes AMGs. In this video I am just going to talk about what Service A consists of, when to do it and also the true costs of what Service A will cost someone with an AMG. Like I said in the video, costs can vary by location and also some special edition AMGs may be more expensive haha

$250 everyone. I hope you read this so you can skip all his blabbering about why service is so so so important.
your doing gods work thank you
$250 isn't bad at all. A lot less than what I expected
In the U.S, I paid $370
@@isaiahroberts7532 you got screwed. simple.
@@GetIntoItDuhh Not really, in the UK its £600 and £900 for the B service
@@dbagdi1998 just because you lot are too stupid to accept a sensible currency like the euro doesn’t mean you get to bitch about high prices. That’s on you, bud.
Depends on what state in nyc the cheapest seevice its 400-500+
Thanks for being clear most UA-camrs just generalize the price making it look like that’s the same price at every dealership
That gives me hope to get a merc soon
I have a GL450 (non AMG) for many years now and my service A costs are around $350. The reason it is more it must be because it is a V8 and holds a lot more oil (~10 quarts). Service A is nothing more than an oil change however they do perform a series of checks and warn you of their findings. You can get the services done at an independent Mercedes shop for about $100 less.
I'm thinking about getting one... Those service charges are actually less than I thought they would be... Thanks for your vids and info... 🙂
Thanks for having this channel. I appreciate knowing about another owner’s experience with the 2020 CLA 45 AMG. It’s helpful to me knowing what to expect with the car and how it performs. I still love mine. 👍
damn bro, you do NOT belong in an AMG
Are you know going to sell it? I’m so sad. You are the only one who made me buy it. 😭😭
that's a pretty good price from the dealership.. in Calgary our dealerships charge $900+ for service A and $1750+ for Service B... I took my car to a German Car Specialist and they do the same thing the dealership does.. I paid $250 CAD for my Service A on the 2020 CLA 45 AMG
That's still overpriced for a 4-cylinder engine. My Mercedes V8 oil change was like $120 cdn, plus the additional $10 oil filter that I brought myself.
@@cthis4786 yeah idk.. Calgary dealerships charge up the ass
@@matthewsamuel8423 You did oil change at Mercedes dealership? They are expensive and probably use Mobil 1 oil which you can get anywhere.
@@cthis4786 no dealership charges $900 for service A which is BS.. I went to a German mechanic who did it for $250 still very pricey but next time I'll bring my own oil and just get a certified mechanic to do my Service B
@@matthewsamuel8423 I bring my own oil, Liqui Moly Molygen, excellent oil and much better than ones used by normal mechanics.
Very nice content bro very informative ⚡️
Most vehicles fall under the severe driving conditions for oil changes. 10k mile oil change is more than likely for cars driven mostly on the highway daily. Not for a mix of both that and stop n go...plus getting on it regularly.
So does this mean you don’t have to get an oil change every 3k miles for this car?
Yooo what about that turbo issue? Was that taken care of with this service?
Ya man what about the turbo actuator, was it fix?
AMG shops don’t have the recalls or bulletins a dealer has.
I’m actually surprised that your service A costs as much as our service A for a older e350 and e550 😂 honestly not bad
Never ever wait 10,000 miles for your first oil change. You should do it between three and five because there are little bits of metal on a new engine to get put into the oil.. it actually can do a ton of harm
The thousand mile break in service is ONLY for c63s. Not even c63. It’s a rear differential service.
I was quoted 700 at my local MB dealer. I don’t have an AMG engine.
If you own a mercedes i highly suggest you change the oil every 3000-6000 k miles or 3-6 months. Dont listen to mercedes saying to do it every 10k miles.
can you elaborate on why? I do agree with you, but just want to know if there are any major reasons or something else, etc... thanks!
@@Shadow-lq7rx hyper vigilance
Not needed if you use synthetic
I was a technician for Japanese and European cars. In training they taught us to stick to the 5,000 rule. Reason why they say 10,000 miles because eventually they want you to come back to dealer for repairs. They want your engine to start burning oil so they force a heavy repair on you. It's a trick. The automotive industry is a scam when it comes to money
for my 2020 c43. 7 quarts pennzoil 0w-40 $45, OEM oil filter $15, $40 labor. $100
This car and the m4 are dream cars
He sold it
Love the videos
Great advice, thanks 👍
Thanks bro for such kind info one subscribe from myself 😍
You have too have the differential done at 2,000 miles on the amg. The real amg 63
Doesn't anyone change their own oil anymore?
I have a question and please answer me ,
If I go to the dealership and want to customize my cla 45 to purchase it , how long will take to finish so I can come and take it . Keep in mind that I am in California
no point to do this, unless you want something incredibly peculiar. just find the car you want in your state and go to your nearest dealer and have them trade to get it.
Nice video
God damn. I wouldn't say oil changes every 10k miles is well taken care of. Especially knowing that these cars are often pushed or/ red-lined (AMG life).
Do you not have Premium Drive in the US? On mine (2021) I was told no service cost on Premium Drive but I've forgotten for how long. Also limited changes on certain parts.
No such thing. We do have prepay or some dealerships will give you free maintenance under their loyalty programs.
How about the broken situation in previous vdo??
What is the warranty terms for this car?? Is it like 5 years/100k miles or what is if a actually
All Mercedes is 5yr/50,000 😂. Not a Hyundai warranty.
@@marcusvision 50k is such a low warranty period for such a high end car
@@coffeeblogger7441 because they know their cars are crap after 50k miles. A typical certified pre-owned warranty from the manufacturer is 100k miles. With germans its unlimited miles but only covered to one year 😂. People have forgot these German cars ARE and WILL always be meant for rich people who don't even look at dinner bills.
If you sell this - LMK!!! Not many used 45s on the market
Que color es el auto??
My 2012 c350 costs the same for service A 😂
Ngl that’s actually not a bad service price
This is not covered under warranty?
That's not bad at all.
That's not bad at all. I pay 120 for just an oil change (mobile 1 full synthetic) every 3k miles iny 2012 Taurus SHO. And let's get real. An AMG vs a sho..? Not even close.
Wtf that is not that bad here in canada they charge 1149$+tx what a ripoff
Service a
Like 500 now
Mercedes washer fluid is free you got robbed for that
Find a Mercedes or European specialty garage. Not the dealer.
Your first service should NEVER be at 10k miles
I wouldn’t get a A class AMG, it’s a “A” doesn’t matter how fast it is, the cheapest Mercedes model
$500 in Manhattan :))) ill take it somewhere else for 70 fuckk that
First
Liar.
