- Well this was a good find! We grabbed a Yamaha BWS / Zuma and got straight to rebuilding the polini 70cc that came on this non running scooter. We also got a ton of NEW PARTS for this rebuild!

Stock cranks are 100% fine to run with a mild 70cc street build 👍👍
true can run up to 13.000rpm a street 70 polini kit will run it fine
I got a bws bump which is basically prebug with different fairings and it's made in france

My german Booster has got the US type lights with a grey footroom and a black heatset. In Germany the MBK Booster and Yamaha Bw´s are exactly the same
yea, ive always wanted a Zuma/Mbk Booster, but they dont make them in my country. cool video though keep it up
Copper spray a gasket is the best stuff, clean to does not bleed over when torqued. Great score man keep um comin.
In lithuania we put yamaha aerox wheel and forks,brakes it upgrades looks and breaking performance by a lot.

Pro tip, get a fork from a yamaha slider or a yamaha "rocket" or called "zuma" in the US i think. Not the inverted fork.
The 12 inch 5 spoke alu wheels are the best for these scooters. Pirelli sl26 tires are the best i've used too, you can run them bald like slick tires and they still grip.
I had over 40000 km (24850 miles) on a stock cylinder and carb, airbox, only changed exhaust to a bidalot s2 (equivalent to a MHR exhaust). Clutch springs to yellow mhr and push spring to yellow i think also, and variator weights. 3x3.6grams and 3 stock rollers.
Could only do 43-46mph but it was quick at picking up that speed.
Ps: For this exact model. With a lot of wheelies and hard "drop downs from wheelies" the welding on the frame that holds the front fork get weakened. You might to keep an eye on those, if you see your front wheel/tire getting closer and closer to the front fender plastic, then you might want to check the frame welds.
PPs: The front plastic cover can "often" break around the screw in points when doing wheelies. Might want to strengthen those points, fill the surroundings of it with hotglue around the screw in stem part of the front cover.
I really miss riding my scooter, it's been over 10 years now. Cool vid, brings back good memories. I have an old bad video from me doing wheelies on a channel called "TeamPropuls" and the video is named "Les débuts en lève". If you ever watch it, i am the second rider in the video.

I know! i had one in all black but the rear plastics on mine ware thicker it didnt have that stepdown from the seat and had a rear spoiler bws bump [still miss that thing but traded it for an Piaggio NRG back then] nice find bro
The Canadian version is the same as the dutch version by what i can see. Bws is what I know the original version. Here in Holland they where never that popular because it's a vertical engine instead of the horizontal one that we all used and use for racing

You used a limmiter in the reed valve take that round thing out and a bigger jet and it wil run even better just a little tip

Mbk were licensed to build yamaha bikes dude. Had a mbk nitro 100 (aerox 100). They where produced in France.

11:20 if thats not stock reeds theres usually a limiter which u can take out which makes the hole really big, the limiter makes it like stock
Its not a limiter its a guide for the gas and air.
@@88brderpi20 my friend has a mallosi vl16 or sum when he got it it had a limiter whcih made the hole smaller we put it in it rode ok, after taking out the limiter the whole was alot bigger and it rode so much better
@@imdovis787 its a guide not a limiter it litterally has no defect on it. it has been dyno proven
@@88brderpi20 we must not be talking about the same thing cuz in our country when everyone buys them we always throw them out cuz if u put it in it rides exactly like stock and the hole is the same size as stock if u take it out it makes it bigger, and its probably not for all intakes maybe not the one he used in the vid
@@imdovis787 then you buying either some cheap reedvalves but its not a limiter the hole has nothing to do on power... stock reed compared to vforces and the power is same.
Nice find. Looks like a 95. Here in quebec canada sold the 89-90 as the zuma. Cuz of high demand in europe, mbk couldnt provide any models to canada, as well as the states. They came back to canada in 95, under the bws name. That ones looks like a 95, could be 96…Think they came back to the states in 97, but under the zuma name…

In Portugal we got no zumas, no prebugs, no nothing. Only BWSs, and they are so good

sealant on cylinder kit? i’ve never seen that before in eu, just the provided gaskets.

@@MOPBOYZ i just imagined it might mess with the ignition timing with the cylinder being further away from the engine block, resulting in a higher rpm and lower efficiency.
maybe if you ran like a quarter inch of sealant hahah . you only need a little bit my dude. and that could never change the rpm. only thing that could change is the compression if the head was further from piston on the stroke

honestly no sealant is necessary all piaggio and minarellis lc and ac I have done never used any extra sealant and never had a problem
