      Thanks Tyrone. Best part of the job is to build on the engine when it is out of the bike. Thanks for you support and stay in touch for an update.🙌

    When I modify an engine to perform more than the stock build,, the first thing I do is remove the oil pump and start mixing my own fuel.. I dont trust them small buggers :P Great video,, like always :P

      We have many customers who share the fear with oil pumps... We prefer to run them on road registered bikes, provided the system is intact. Oil pumping is something we recommend to regularly check. On race bikes we've built over the years, we have always run premix. Its just a preference thing, not worrying about the pump vs. the convenience of not having to premix. Thanks for watching🎅

    how often should you replace the crank seals? And should you change them if you say, replace your crank?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Рік тому +1

      Well you can change them at any time the engine reaches 10'000kms. Or, you can change them when they fail and leak or certainly when you change the crankshaft. When we carry out a service we inspect the seals and look for misplaced or leaking around the seals at which point they would be replaced.

    Please do a legit tuning vid and onboard ride vid with speedo and gps video. love seeing what different builds do. Good work as usual.

      Yes that would be fun, this job was an engine build only, sent to us in a box from Melbourne about 2000kms away. Unfortunately we did not have the entire scooter. Thanks for comments✌

    Hi scooterstreet. Is the stock oil pump enough for a 70cc kit ? What do you recommend when not premixing ?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Рік тому +1

      Yes it is, ensure the oil pump is working and all of the associated parts are in good order, check it often as part of your routine maintenance.

      It is because it mixes at 50:1 so 100ml oil to 5L petrol in premix terms I just put a small capful of oil in my fuel tank just to be on the safe side

    would you find it easier to put the circlip in without the cylinder sat on top of the piston and getting in the way? Ive only ever used the piston in bore method on four strokes where its the only option due to fiddly rings. Its usually really easy to squeeze the rings together by hand on a two stroke due to the cylinder cut outs at the transfer entry. Just a thought. Loving the vids :)

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  Рік тому

      We did it this way for the video, we would usually fit the cylinder while engine still in frame. See our other vids, Thank you for watch and comment👍

    I've just installed the stator and stator cover, how do I time it correctly?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 роки тому +1

      The crankshaft has a woodruff key that sets the factory timing on the flywheel and the stator has set holes for fixing the holding bolts..
