Hi and thank you for the mention in the video 😁.. Loving the work so far and it looks like a bit of fine tuning will transform the scoot even more! Obviously a carb upgrade will help massively and potentially get rid of the acceleration flat spot although I would play with the rollers in the meantime. Pod filters are sexy looking, but can be a pain to setup the carb. The flat spot is more likely to be to much air being sucked in on initial acceleration (pilot jet in carb) then the the main jet kicks in and the scoot gets more fuel and takes off. Looking forward to next video and keep up the good content 👌
Once we have change the clutch for the higher rpm engagement, we'll do the reed valve and carb. We are also not big fans on pod filters because they are a pain to set, as you mentioned. We most likely will just go stock airbox and Stage6 replacement foam. Thanks for the support and comments. 💪
@urban_riders all sounds great and you are spot on with the mods you mention for the future 👍. Just one last thing about the carb, most people go straight to a 21mm when a 17.5 or 19mm will do a better job on a street tune setup. Obviously it's your build, so please don't take my comment as "I know best". You guys are doing a great job and making good videos. Your experience and enthusiasm shines through 😎👍
@@overlandworld2253 Our plan was to keep this scooter more for street use and not go too crazy on it, this we will do on the Aerox. So we were thinking 19mm carb. 👍 Bigger isn't always better on carbs, correct.
Just a heads up, get a malossi mhr crankshaft and a yasuni c16 exhaust! The stock crankshaft cant hold a 70cc, and the pipe is limiting the bike ALOT! Good luck on the journey tho =)
Thanks for the advice. We will be replacing the crank in the near future. We want to keep this scoot a Stage6 Sport Pro build, for daily street use. We'll do a Malossi build on our Jog next year.
@@ashitoshramdien2588 Try do everything, starting with the drive. They turn into a different scooter. What country you in, I'll refer you to the right place to buy.
@@urban_ridersWhy’d you buy a stage6 cilinder for daily street use? It’s about the least reliable cilinder on the market. You’d be better off with a low revving cast iron cilinder instead of a high revving aluminum cilinder. A dr70cc would do the job.
Saturdays scooter run was so rad and this little thing surprised me to be honest. I think when she's done you're gonna have a little monster on your hands👹😂
I'm getting 58 mph out of my roughhouse with this kit. About to change the contrast spring. Hopefully that will give me a little bit more. But I really need gears.
Great vid. I had 6 or 7 of these bikes in the past. If you want to run a 70cc at full speed for a long period off time, you will need to change the crankshaft to a performance one
Man you need to change the crankshaft the bws original crankshafts can't hold the power off a 70cc cylinder kit. It can hold for a bit but its more safe to upgrade the crankshaft too and the cvt, carb
Thanks for the concern. We will be replacing the crank in the near future, when we Ceramic the engine casings. We still have a lot of work planned for it.
This build is my favourite. I think you should definitely get a clutch soon. It seems to have no power because of no power band. What more upgrades are you doing?
The slow pull away could be rollers or clutch if u change ur rollers do a bit of research coz they can help with pull off people usually use 2 different sizes to help for pull off an top speed but idk what sizes or weight whatever they come in lol
It's definitely the clutch taking too soon, but we have on the way. We just doing items in stages to see the effect it has and how the new parts compliment each other. Fun times, lots more will be added to this scoot.
The length of the pipe is critical to the designed power, and needs to be long. So the only way to shorten is to loop the silencer in the opposite direction. The bends don't have any significant impact on power or performance, plus it looks cool.
is the power force 70cc kit good enough for piaggio typhoon 2017? now i have 50cc with 7.5g rollers, stage 6 central spring and polini yellow springs but it goes only like 60km/h
U need de-restricted exhaust, larger front pulleys, malossi air filter, longer belt, larger jet in your stock carb (assume its 17,5), 8.5 and 10 gram rollers in a 3-3 setup with stock cvt. If you have clutch and contra springs you should upgrade to a malossi multivar front pulley and malossi delta clutch. You can also get a larger carb. With stock carb you should have around 9 hp with stock 50cc cylinder
Yip, 😅every 3rd comment is telling us this. We are planning to do the upgraded crank and carb on this scoot. We were interested in how it would run and surprisingly it ran better than we thought.
I had one of them in England about 20 plus years ago .they were nicked named Billy whizz over here , then I got a couple of Italian ones that are a lot better, I got a typhoon an a NRG 80 , they get boring fast, better off with a enduro bike
Carbon reed valves a must if stock break bye bye engine.

@urban_riders 19mm. Fantastic. I did exactly that on my Malaguti F15 liquid cooled 70cc. Excited to see the next video 🎉

Mine did never had a problem with my crank
Next mood u should get rid of that 12mm carb they no good for 70cc build.
I'm genuinely surprised that piston did not seize.
Definitely! We’ve got a lot still planned 🤞🏼
You should put 21mm carburator on that thing
We have a Stage6 21mm for the scoot so it looks like we going 21mm and not 19mm as previously planned.
Stage6 "Big Valve" Intake Zuma Vertical is a must have with 21 mm carb
Get a full weight kit to adjust the variator and stiffer spring for the rear

That thing rips 💯

Great video! But I am pretty concerned because it looks like you still have the original crankshaft, it will not hold for long with that cylinder😅
It should be fine. This is a street tune kit so far and not a full race setup.
This kit will last a long time if tuned properly. Great video
@@overlandworld2253 this cylinder is mid race. basically anything more than 8hp ytou need to change the crank. this kit does about 12 - 15 hp.

@urban_riders keep up the good work man I love to see those 50cc mopeds getting upgrades.
There is more yellow in the background today.. epic stuff man!! What parts are your planning to ceracote?
At the moment we would like to do the engine casings white. We may do other items too, like piston and head etc.
This build is my favourite. I think you should definitely get a clutch soon. It seems to have no power because of no power band. What more upgrades are you doing?
Definitely the clutch, and we plan to fit reed valve and bigger carb, and an upgraded crank when we do the engine casings.
it needs heavyer trim springs
What cilinder should i get for the best top speed extra with a orgiganal crankshafter
If you need to remain 50cc, then the Stage6 50cc Street Race Cylinder, or the Malossi 50cc Sport would be ideal for the stock crank.
Carburetor should be 19-21mm. Crankshaft wont live too long
Bought and bought 😉 video dropping early next year hopefully🤞🏼
And I hope you’ve put it through its first heatcycle after the new cilinder, before you started ripping it 😅
We have a bit of mercy towards new parts. 😂
👍👍👍👍
15:39 HMM What was that
What oil mixture do you run?
We're running the oil pump currently but would probably run a 40:1 ratio
The slow pull away could be rollers or clutch if u change ur rollers do a bit of research coz they can help with pull off people usually use 2 different sizes to help for pull off an top speed but idk what sizes or weight whatever they come in lol

Original crankshafter?!
At the moment, yes this is the original crank. We will be replacing the crank at a later stage with the upgraded version.
same is happening to my speedy it start of slow and after it hits like 5.5k rpm its a rocket 🤣
Why is the exhaust shaped like that?
The length of the pipe is critical to the designed power, and needs to be long. So the only way to shorten is to loop the silencer in the opposite direction. The bends don't have any significant impact on power or performance, plus it looks cool.
Expansion chamber fitted with a silencer, U-shape so the exhaust does not protrude 👍 performance 2 strokes need expansion chambers

Also sanding the port edges in the cylinder walls might also help
I'm sure the 70cc kit will make a significant improvement to power and speed.
You cant ride this cylinder with the original crankshaft and the original carb 💀
Yip, 😅every 3rd comment is telling us this. We are planning to do the upgraded crank and carb on this scoot. We were interested in how it would run and surprisingly it ran better than we thought.
18 hp cylinder on a 12.5mm carb that seriously hurts my eyes omg

crank bearings are gonna die and crank
its cylinder not barrel xd
