    Wow your an inspiration to Me as an aspiring ML engineer the thing I like about you is your a real Ai engineer with a career unlike the gurus on social media who claims they know everything. The best thing I like about UAE is the desert and sun it makes you feel alive

    Very interesting! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
    Don't you feel lonely or depressed working so much and (almost) always alone? Don't you miss coworkers?
    What's your long-term goal and how do you plan to spend all the money you are earning and investing? Do you plan to have family and kids?

    • @NicolaiAI
      @NicolaiAI  2 місяці тому

      Thanks a lot for watching and the questions! Yeah it lonely a lot of the time. I have people I’m working closely with everyday and tons of meetings. But I don’t believe you can do great things and build stuff without deep focus by yourself and often a lonely road. Never really been depressed or felt in that way. I have freedom to pivot and change based on what I need and want to do. You can’t get all and would not be able to do what I’m doing every day if commuting to work several hours a day or work from Dubai.
      My plan is to build stuff I’m interested in. Could be completely different from what I’m doing today. And provide value and help people.
      Yeah my plan is family and all the standard stuff as well. Wanna invest my money in people doing good stuff for the world. Also gonna spend my money on watches, cars, houses etc and just have fun too

    I am Java developer with 10+ years of experience . I want to switch my carrier in AI as freelancer. I am ready to signup for your course but I have some below inquries.
    How easy is to switch from Java developer to AI freelancer?
    Can you help/support me in how to become a freelancer from start to finding a job?

    • @NicolaiAI
      @NicolaiAI  2 місяці тому +1

      Awesome man! Yeah that’s a ton of experience. Python is def the go to for AI and machine learning but you will have no problem with that. Often it’s also more about putting stuff together and systems. It would not be hard to make the switch. It’s always easier to understand both code, concepts and system when you have so much programming experience already
      Inside the program I help all the members on their own path and where they want to get. All resources, technical courses, email templates, code, websites everything is in there. Basically just my system I’m helping people with and getting out there. Also a bunch of guys just looking for AI positions or take it to another level. But yeah personal help from me, weekly live calls and all

    Did you also consider places like Los Angeles or New York? Taxes might be higher than Dubai, but these are also high energy/high opportunity beautiful places.

    • @NicolaiAI
      @NicolaiAI  2 місяці тому +3

      Would probably have been Bay Area if in the US. Have a lot on the sideline and would not be easy to set up a business and also the visa process. Taxes are significantly higher but yeah a ton of more opportunities, especially in bay and New York. Tax would be 30-50% which is crazy high compared to 0%. Also have a ton of investments which is tax free in Dubai. 0% crime as well compared to US which is pretty bad
      The only advantage I see any US city has over Dubai is tech opportunities. Would I move to US for the right opportunity? Yeah sure would

    • @NicolaiAI
      @NicolaiAI  2 місяці тому

      It’s easy and cheap to create startups. Think it’s a good place if you want to do it internationally. Locally not anywhere near the same tech feeling as Bay Area and many other US cities

    I'm also a programmer from Denmark! What would you say your monthly income would minimally have to be for it to make sense to relocate from Denmark to Dubai? I read that the cost of getting set up can be substantial.

    • @NicolaiAI
      @NicolaiAI  2 місяці тому +1

      Awesome man! I can only answer financially since both countries and cities are very different and comes down to personal preference. It costed me around 4k to start a company and sponsor my own visa. Rent is around 2x on average I’d say but depends on location. Rent ranges from 1k to 50k in Dubai per month. Food, utilities and rest of fixed expenses is around the same as Denmark if not a bit lower.
      Hard to move to Dubai and make same salary as in Denmark unless you work internationally. Let’s say u make 8-10k USD. Then with above average lifestyle you’d prob have 4-5k more every month than Denmark. Then you scale up and down based on that. I’d prob make the move at that point since it’s not only the financial side of it. In my opinion there is not a single aspect or anything in Denmark which is better than Dubai/UAE.

    • @YeahWellShutUp
      @YeahWellShutUp 2 місяці тому

      @@NicolaiAI I'm inclined to agree with that last sentence, and completely agree with all of your reasons for preferring Dubai 😄 Denmark is designed for the cookie-cutter lifestyle of working the 9-to-5 and taking a lot of days off for doing ordinary life things. Buying a property is the only viable way to invest what little money you get to keep, and the financial upside in owning a property is so capped compared to the stock market that you're inevitably leaving a lot of money on the table no matter what you do. Given your financial situation, it would have been insane to stay 😅
      I also landed somewhere around the 10k mark with my own calculation, and like you say, it's only really feasible if your employer allows you to work remotely or if you're running your own remote first company.
      I'm hoping to eventually do the latter. Let's see how things pan out!
      And thanks for the YOLO videos, by the way. That's how I stumbled upon your channel.
