I use a summit racing brand carburetor. They make a 600 or 750 CFM models. This is a street strip carb. It is easily tuned and has sight glasses to see fuel level externally with external float adjustment. I love this carb. You can check the reviews yourself. They are a good carb.

    I have no clue 😳
All my small experience is with Fuel-injection cars.
    Good luck !

Personally I would rebuild. A lot less expensive and will maintain reliability for some time. I've done the same years ago on similar engine setup. If you bought new, I would recommend a DEMON CARB. Easy to tune and very street friendly. Just pick your CFM.

An Edelbrock 600 will work fine for your 350👍 The double pumper sucks a lot of gas but since your talking street driving the Edelbrock will work. It's a little easier to work with. Your going to get a lot of people that will give their opinions on Holley and Edelbrock but they both are great carburetors👍

@@MotorFire remember that the Edelbrock's are usually already adjusted and ready to run. 👍

Typically double pumpers only use primaries, and use the secondaries when needed.

Edelbrock 1405 or if you want electric choke, the AVS.

I just had this issue a month ago. Your problem is more than likely your needle. Mine would spray from the top of the screw threw the gasket. The needle closes off gas to keep it from overflowing, it works along with the float. I'd suggest getting a new needle with gaskets which are relatively inexpensive. I messed around with mine and caused more issues. Replace the needle. Use, I believe a 14 or 16mm wrench, to hold down the adjuster nut, then use a screwdriver to remove the top screw. U can then use the wrench to remove the needle. That is also how u adjust the needle. If you're planning on replacing the carb, wait to go Holley Sniper EFI. Can pick up more power and it tunes itself. Im going that route myself soon, can keep the carb or sell it.

The edelbrock is a better choice than the Holley. Holley carbs have bad issues with floats sticking and flooding the motor. I've had problems with every one I've owned and now have 2 edelbrocks.
You can swap the Holley yourself as they are pretty much ready to go right out of the box.

Hey my brother has an 88 camaro(3rd gen) and they are gonna engine swap it from a 2.8 v6 to a 5.7 ls1 (I think I really don’t know I’m a dodge guy) and instead of fuel ejected it’s going to be with a carburator

Could just run a holley sniper setup rather than carb but id run the holley carb. Ive had bad luck with rochester, but they are beginner friendly.

The double pumper is too much carb for that motor. An Edelbrock 600 should be just fine for your application.

Let us know how it works out for you. I'm building a 355 for my 86Z. I got a great deal on a brand new QuadraJet, 73 Olds spec, so I'll start there. 1/2 price still in the box! Anyway, we will enjoy your build.

@@MotorFire go efi and stroke the 350 into a 383. Depending on your build u can get 420+hp. The block can hold near 600hp reliably, so it's down to the internals. Too many LS swaps, but your decision.
