I saw them on this tour, they played in dronning margrethe hallerne fredericia Denmark, in the spring of 1996. I was 12 years old and it was my first concert going on my own, it was the most fantastic feeling in the world! Pure rock n´roll, and they realy hit the ground running that night! It changed my life forever
Я там была, мне было тогда 16! Это было невероятно круто! Люблю бесконечно! (I was there, I was 16 then! It was incredibly cool! I love you endlessly!)
Always loved the audience in this one. The sound quality is terrible (and the band were bad live in general in 1996 for some reason) but the audience makes it a fantastic gig. They're so up for it and don't give a shit what anyone around them thinks! That's the correct response to Quo. I know I hate it when I'm stuck at the back of a festival crowd when Quo are on and nobody around me is moving or singing and I'm there belting out every word. Shame there isn't a digital recording of this gig released because it's a rare setlist. This would be good bonus material for the Don't Stop deluxe if they go that far (which they should because they weren't on Fourth Chord/Edel/EAR until about 2007?). Francis probably wouldn't want to release it because of the number of mistakes in almost every song but they were like that for this entire tour.
Think sound quality was down to playing way to quick in 1996 and crew recording it, Jeff’s drumming was way to fast and the band just went with it. They could of had some epic sounding gigs in the day had they slowed down a bit lol, I’ve been a Quo fan since I was 3, I’m 30 now and have seen nearly every lineup they have had, Quo is life for me.
@StatusQuoAsItWas Possibly. I simply couldn't remember. I was on potty when I made the post. At my age ... my first Quo concert was 1976 ... I spend quite a bit of time on it... its in a room with a bed, a chair and one back door. 😁
A few years earlier I wrote my MA thesis about the historical INF (Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces) treaty between the USA and the USSR and how both countries allowed far reaching on site inspections on their territory or on American bases in Western Europe. It was a decade of hope of better ties with the Soviet Union, later with Russia. A younger Putin seemed to be a relatively "rational" leader, with whom one could talk. Unfortunately, he quickly got intoxicated by his own power, didn't want to leave his throne and the access to hugh wealth, and started to become more and more the dictator he has become. The West probably also undertook some steps that didn't help the mutual trust. And now we're in the shitty situation we're in, which will worsen even more if or when Trump will be re-elected. While we should be co-operating with the Russians - not Putin anymore - to be able to offer a credible counterweight to the more and more "assertive" (ha !) Chinese. Unfortunately the INF treaty by now is history too, Cold War is back.
No more Quo or any other western bands for Moscow any more. I predict they'll be unhappy to listen to "Ya Russki" for the rest of their f*cked lives, & that will be part of their punishment. Slava Ukraini & Putin huilo!

Были на этом шоу.. Но ждали Deep Purple..
Read about this gig in that years tour mag, wasn’t it a free gig for the troops or something ?
After listening to later quo gigs it’s very present that’s ricks power is gone in quo his playing was second to none……..
Very Nice Concert and fantastic rock banda, I ❤ STATUS QUO.... GOD BLESS INGLAND 🇬🇧 GOD BLESS RUSSIAN🇷🇺 ...🇲🇽🇲🇽 Y QUE VIVA MEXICO CABRONEESS🇲🇽🇲🇽
Quo are fucking relentless on this gig zero to hundred miles an hour stuff, plus the army look pretty nervous too😂
twenty seven minutes in and Frame hasn't said a word to the audience! Did he a have a strop on?!
This was a private bet who would pass out first….😂
Glad I missed that

The Dusseldorf gig from this tour is a lot better than this show. It also has a rare drone intro that I think they didn't use for too long.
@@UnofficialStatusQuo Was the Dussledorf gig also filmed and/or broadcast?
Actually scrap that. It was broadcast on the radio.

@@WOFandG Jeff isn't to blame for the speed considering Rick or Francis start most of the songs...
@@UnofficialStatusQuothey started using a click live shortly after this because they were fed up with inconsistent tempos.
Rick and Francis' were particularly good here, well, apart from the unnecessary vulgarity.
Never seen Caroline for 6 bars then some random song 😂😂😂🎉
"some random song", you mean Paper Plane?
@StatusQuoAsItWas Possibly. I simply couldn't remember.

Yuck Andy s guitar doesn’t fit… still good though…
Super concert ! Mais certains dans ce public sont "ailleurs" ils auraient mieux fait de rester à la maison ....Pauvres russes !
This is the worst Quo gig I’ve ever seen. Everything is too fast and not sitting right. Rossi just isn’t comfortable.

Without Rick this song sucks….

Another KhoKhol that supports Banderism.
