- Hi guys welcome back to another video this video is for anyone that has gotten orders to JBER and is wondering what the housing looks like from outside. Also a video for previous JBER residents that would like to see how it has changed over the years hope you enjoy 😊 thank for watching.
Nice! The area on the Ft Rich side next to the skate park used to have a PX but the building was so ratty they tore it down, it wasn't earthquake proof enough. Also in Chugach where the fence is when you first pull in used to be a big sledding hill. Kids used to sled out into the street, I guess due to safety they blocked it all off.
Oh no way yeah now it’s just open grass area with new skate park didn’t even now they added that skatepark until this week 😆. That must a been a fun hill to sled on the one on Richardson side I showed looks pretty neat too. My kiddos haven’t tried it but I think we will this year 😄
I lived in Elemendorf AFB in the 50 's my Dad was a Colonel it seemed to be located by a security guard going in & out to Anchorage ,they are old now they were built in a square of people we had to plug our batteries into a box so they wouldn't freeze over night. When we entered in the back there was like a porch there but it was closed in one neighbor lived on the right and then we lived on the left was two people and one big unit but you know they had their own separate units two people lived in it and I remember we had some real nice Neighbors can you find those little houses for me please I want to see them I can't remember the street I am 75 years old now I'd sure like to see my old house or similar to it thank you

Which community is near at school pre k , kindergarten and grade school?
They have three elementary schools on base and I believe one Prek and a few child care programs but pretty much all housing is close to all schools. They zone the elementary based on what housing you live in.
