let me tell you as a Louisiana native myself. I can smell it.....this is exactly how it's done. you do the bayou proud. ....going get me some shrimp now ....and dont forget the oranges. lol
Looks good bruh, I'm from down the bayou too in south Louisiana and I do it the same way, the Zatarain's powder and the liquid concentrate combined, but we like them real spicy so we add some cayenne too. I kill the boil with ice for the soak also. I never did it with the oranges tho. I usually put lots of sides in the boil. I add potatoes, sausage, corn, mushrooms, whole heads of garlic, celery, sweet potatoes, carrots and lemons. But where's ya newspaper for the table at? Catch all that wetness off the table with that.
Can you help me I’m doing 5 lbs of shrimp in a 60 quart pot. Do I cut your recipe by 1/3rd. or do I use the same amount of zaterains and lemons and oranges??
AWildBeowulf its a wood deck that has been stained. Hack we boils them with the water right out of the Swamp that’s run through a couple of filters. That’s the ticket to the Awesome flavor...

How should I alter the recipe for a 60qt pot?
If you were using a smaller pot/less water but the same amount of food, would you decrease the zatarains seasoning and liquid?
pooooo-yieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! ay, labas !
do we need to remove the veins of shrimp or not?
When you add the shrimp is it 2 minutes from then or 2 minutes after it comes back to a boil? Looks awesome and ready to try it!
Watch your shrimp, boil them till they float then soak them till sink.
Looziana shrimp bull. Lol
How you gonna put that oar on the dirty ground and use it to stir the shrimp....
Vue Moua . The temperature of the boiling water will kill any germs.
You don't see it but perhaps the oar is sitting on a towel or in a bucket.
AWildBeowulf Watch the video and he'll show ya how🤣🤣🤣

Gotta make it last 3 our 5 boils
Why is the dude using an oor?
Because it is a classic way to stir things in those large boiling pots
Why not
Not a lot of shrimps and crabs. Add more..
