  • Aquarian Artist Larry Levine gives an overview and demonstration of the new Super-Pad Drumsurface. The multipurpose Super-Pad is both a stand-alone pad for silent practice and a low-volume acoustic drum mute. It is also an effective drumming tool for low-volume music making. The Super-Pad can be placed on anything: drums, tables, snare drum stands, beds or even your lap. The low profile design fits comfortably into ay setup. Unlike other drum mutes, the cushioned Super-Pad Drumsurface reduces acoustic drum volume but still retains natural drumstick rebound and real drumhead feel.
"Practice pads are for practice. Super-Pads are for playing!"

Great video. These are awesome! They lower the volume of your kit without completely killing the tone of your drums like the regular drum mats. And you still get the response and attack you would normally get. Practice feels natural at a much lower volume. Can't wait to get a set!

I have one of these as a practice pad and they’re perfect. I like the RTOM kick disk a bit better, but overall, these things are the bees knees!

Michael Beechey DW's are way cheaper.

Yes. Look up the Non-Glamorous Drummer here on UA-cam. He does a whole video on these, the Silent Stroke heads and the RTOM mesh system.

While you're fanatically smashing away on all the other drums, why didn't you just play the bass drum by itself so we can hear that? That's part of the pad set.

You actually mention how great the bass drum is at 7:18, then you don't even bother hitting the bass drum in isolation so I can hear it. You don't show the action or the sound, you just play quarter notes while you're still messing around on the toms, and then go into some practice routine that has nothing to do with the pads your demoing, which would have been time if you bothered to showcase all of the product. Could have been a much more helpful demo. bla
