Does STEAMING add moisture to High Porosity natural hair? | my first time + pro & cons

- In this video, I will be trying the STEAMING 💦 method for the first time on my high porosity hair. Steaming is supposed to add moisture to dry hair and make hair more manageable and easier to detangle! This would be very beneficial to some naturals, because there are some sisters with high porosity hair that suffer with very dry frizzy hair that is easily tangled. 🙋🏾♀️ Let me know down below if you would ever try steaming your hair!! 🧖🏾♀️😌✨

Have you ever tried STEAMING your natural hair? If so, what are your thoughts?! 🧖🏾♀️😌✨
I haven’t. Not sure if it would be a waste for me or not. I use a hooded dryer for my deep conditioning treatments right now.
@@SashieETV are you low porosity?
@@JasMcQueen yes, I am.
@@SashieETV i bet that hooded dryer works wonders for your hair!!
I’m high porosity and my hair always dry with split ends and knots I don’t know if it’s medication but I try my best.
Yes for the high porosity girls 🙌🏽
Love this!! Sitting under a hooded dryer with longer and thick hair is not working for me as heat not distribued evenly. This technique made a massive difference to frizz and shine. I had given up when i tried this one switch to my routine! Thank you! X
I found that the Camille Rose coconut Hydration line works great with high porosity hair.
Oooooo thank you for this!!! I will definitely try it out! I’ve never used Camille rose products before! Is this your favorite line from them?
@@JasMcQueen Honestly I love most of all the Camille Rose products..but I’m really really loving the coconut line at the moment. 🙌🏽
@@sheenatheresa3945 okkkk!!!! I’m gone try it!! Thank you!!
I have yet to try this either so I’m so glad you did this video!
Thank you!! And thank you for watching!!

I want a steamer now! This was so relaxing to watch and informative. Your hair does look soft and healthy.
Thank you so much!! And yasss! It’s very relaxing!!
Good call with adding filtered agua❤
Thanks sis! I didn't even know I could use my face steamer for my hair😮
I was about to say this is giving me self care spa day !! I’ve never steamed my hair before but this looked sooo relaxing (especially on your face Lol)
Yessss!! It’s definitely giving self care day vibes!!!! 🧘🏽♀️🧖🏾♀️
I love yr accent 😍😍it just melts my heart 😭
Thank you soo much!!! I really appreciate you watching the video!!
YASS! I am actually going to steam mine this weekend so I was sold once you said it makes you feel like it's a spa day. I can't wait to relax! Your hair looked so moisturized at the end too.
It’s definitely a relaxing experience!!! Let me know how you like it!
I’ve never steamed my hair, I wouldn’t mind trying it
I have hyper prosody hair. And a similar curl pattern
I'm just now coming out of hygral fatigue 😫 the last thing I need is more moisture 😂
When you did your porosity test and got the results.... was it correct?
Do use a hair dryer or hair steamer?
I might need to head over Amazon and get a steamer lol. I wonder if it works better than a hooded dryer. 🤔
Hmmmm great question! that would be a great video idea!! I love the steamer though! Definitely gives spa day vibes!
Steam doesn’t work for my high porosity hair. Conditioner is meant to close my cuticles and it has a hard time with the steam fighting to keep my cuticles open. My cuticles are already open from the shampoo. The steam from the shower isn’t as intense as the steamer. So, I will stick with the shower.
😅
Just curious. How do you know if you have high porosity hair? I have type 3B curly hair.
Hi! There is a test you can do on a clean strand of hair! I linked a short video I did on the float test in the description box if you’re interested in checking it out!
If your hair is frizzy, doesn't keep moisture for long, hydrates more with heavy products, gets wet very quickly during washes, or dries very quickly after being wet.. You most likely have high porosity hair!
