I don't think the Equivalent Exchange counts as 'evolution'; it would be more accurate to say it creates a NEW Stand. Especially since there's disadvantages, too; Soft and Wet doesn't have access to powerful explosions like KQ and can't make Sheer Heart Attacks, nor can it graft objects with incredible precision like Josefumi's S&W.
Plus, I think Act-changes and the "natural" way you described at the beginning of the video more or less go hand in hand. They both increase in power and unlock new abilities as they mature (Jotaro learning about his access to Star Finger, his inhalation abilities that he used to defeat Justice, learning he has timestop), ACT Stands just have more developmental potential.

i can see where you're coming from with some of your criticism, namely the ones about the equivalent exchange, but i'll have to disagree on the act stands because while they undergo a natural growth process, the reason they are viewed as not natural is because of their rarity and capability to change appearance. which i think is reason enough to have them on a different category than star platnum, the world and etc.
@@shonendivision3427 Fair enough. It’s like ACT Stands are made for complete change and evolution, as opposed to other Stands that can just change ability.
Though, maybe The Spin could be considered a form of evolution as well. It’s responsible for all of Tusk’s evolutions, created a new Stand (Ball Breaker), and evolved Soft and Wet to Go Beyond.

@@shonendivision3427 i'd think act stands are more of a incomplete or different forms of a stand, since all users of act stands can freely change between acts, for example, both johnny and koichi can use their stand act 1 but pucci made in heaven can't use neither whitesnake or c-moon, dio over heaven in the game can't use normal the world, giorno needs to separate the requiem arrow from golden experience (that means he can't just turn requiem to normal golden experience while fused with the arrow), killer queen fusion with the arrow that gave him bite the dust is permanent as he can't take off the arrow, corpse of christ is the closest thing to an evolution and act stand since it acts sometimes like the arrow in part 4 giving the user a new ability to his stand (or a new stand in case he doesn't have one to begin with) and the arrow in part 5 giving the stand a new form (for example, although the corpse of christ gave valentine a new ability he can't desactivate, you can still take the corpse which will make love train stop working as it's connected to it), at the end i think you can assume there's 4 ways to actually evolve a stand (normal arrow if you consider a new skill to the stand an evolution, requiem arrow, heaven, and christ's corpse).

@@grilledcheese. hello, I suggest using the “double arrow” method.
@@grilledcheese. if you have an act stand, I suggest evolving to at least act 2 and then using double arrow.
I think for the 2nd Pierce method the arrow itself must choose you, sure it might have worked if your desire and spirit are strong enough but I think the arrow itself is the thing that guarantees it
further proved by the fact that Diavolo couldn't evolve his stand.
@@Secretcodrin technically king crimson was in the process of gaining reqiuem. he was just forced back into his own body before it was completed. when he was pierced by the arrow the smoke came out which indicates that he was gaining the reqiurm evolution

It only happens if you’re worthy, also Love Train is for any stand, but it requires a host such as lucy steel
Love train's power was accessible by D4C due to its power to travel between dimensions. It was techniaclly not an evolution but just using D4C's existing ability to use a not related ability.
What if jotaro’s stand ability was that whenever he is fighting an enemy stand and says “so it’s the same type of stand as star platinum” he copy’s that stand’s ability

The only reason why Koichi was able to evolve his own stand is because he was healed by josuke thus Koichi wasn't able to win over the stand arrows worthiness by his own will as he was very shy and timid at the start but gradually got more strength to back up his will. Same for Johnny Joestar, they both grew as characters.

TWOH has its powers,but with the abilities to:prevent anyone from reaching the truth (GER),shoot bubbles that transcend time and space (S&W:GB),the ability to turn a stand and somemones memory into a disc and also put them in a coma (White Snake), the ability to revert gravity and control it to your will (C-Moon),accelerate time (MIH), make anyone shrink on command the closer they get the more that can shrink (Green Baby stand Green Green Grass Of Home),and finally,able to create transdimensional barriers that transcend time and space and arguably the multiverse (D4C:LT)
Also some optional powers due to the fact that dios time stop with TWOH's time stop was infinite so this could happen:the ability to shoot eye lasers that can rewrite whatever they hit,can also be controlled and the ability to turn anything to ice with a simple touch.

That's IT! Stand arrows possess a will of their own, meaning words instilled in the arrow influence what type of stand you get. To get a stand you need a will and determination. what dio is doing is essentially the process of making a stand. When someone gets a stand the arrows will affect what type you get based on its own will. So there are arrow categories. Requiem arrows and dios method of reaching heaven are close to The same. They amplify the stand to obtain a new ability. Although dios method is more manipulatable so you can choose what type of stand you get based on what will you instill the green baby with and where it must go to attain heaven. That's why the requiem arrow had a Beatle on it. It means going past and believing something that's what a requiem is that's what the battle represents. That's the will in the requiem arrows
Affect the arrows will and you can create your stand.

For the arrow 2 hit if you stab your self your stand get a new ability (eg killer queen bites the dust ) if you stub your stand you get a requiem not 100% guaranteed you will survive the 2nd staving of the arrow

Wait what would happen if you used an arrow got a stand, used a roka fruit and merged with someone else who has a stand to evolve your stand then use an arrow AGAIN to evolve that stand then use a requiem arrow to turn it into a req stand then merge with the green baby, THEN complete the heaven plan and obtain heaven and THEN get all the corpse parts. Literally you're stand would be GOD goku level or maybe you would just die because you're not worthy enough.

Hm i wouldnt say discovering new ability’s is evolving the stand. If i just noticed that I can lift things that doesent mean I evolved. Or with the world who learned to stop longer. Bodybuilders aren’t evolved humans. They just trained. Or gold experiences body part replacement. It was just something he could do all the time but never noticed. I mean imagine you have the power to push something away and you notice you can pull yourself while pushing something on a string away from you while holding the string. I think it's that when a Requiem arrow hits the user, they get a new appearance and requiem ability but if the Requiem arrow hits that stand you get a requiem stand.

Kira absorbed the arrow, not just stabbed. The requiem arrow is a higher dosage of stand potential, meaning there are levels of arrow value.
