I totally agree that he belongs behind bars. The likely reason he isn't is due to the cost of his medical care. If he were locked up the state would be required to provide, and pay for the cost of his medical care. If the state choose not to do so then his lawyer would file a federal suit. Every angle is wrong.
He can't. His age, his medical condition, and his financial condition make it basically impossible for him to do that. That's WHY the prosecutor didn't want to waste the time and money to house this guy for 3 weeks in an overcrowded jail.
Why did the original detective tell the daughter that the evidence wasn’t available. Then it turns up ? And how is a suspect in the murder become a pall bearer ?
Friend of victim's husband, apparently. Probably had a thing for his buddy's wife, tried to force himself on her, she refused him, and he made sure she didn't talk.
NO WAY should age have been a factor as to why he isn't being held in jail. How disgusting. He already had a life his victim was robbed of, now the "justice system" is doing him favors?!!!!!!!
The grandson is a new generation of people, as well as the new science and technology. He's the reason that innocent mother has justice. If he hadn't listened to his grandmother tell the story over and over again and then kept pushing them to look at the evidence again, nothing would have ever happened to get the mother justice.
Usually such overkill is perpetrated by young people. The suspect was 22 years old at the time so it fits. Rejection to sexual advances plus the lack of self-control and heated personality of youth and that's enough to cause such damage.
He should be waiting in jail for the trial. How many old and sick people are in prison right now? You mean to tell me, a man who murdered a woman and has been free for 57 years gets to shuffle on outta there? Jesus sees it all, and he will pay, if not whole heartedly repentant.
Old people can kill people also He does not deserve one minute of freedom. This is disgusting that he is allowed to be free until he goes to court. He is walking by himself and carrying objects. He can walk and carry a knife. How many more bodies does he have under his belt?
Everyone needs to flood the Missouri AG with calls and emails to get this man put in jail. How is he not a danger to the community? It's election year, get that lady some justice.
Was it a blood type match or DNA match? If the former, I can understand (though don't like) that they don't have enough to hold him. If it's the latter, his health and age should have not factor in holding him in jail until the trial. DNA doesn't lie and he's been allowed to live free and clear for nearly 60 years.
In another video the daughter said that 'people' always said he was the killer but there was no evidence, thanks to DNA and cops who were willing to look into the case it's been solved. Sounds like the police dropped the ball on this one and didn't revisit the case.
Age and health should not matter. He should be made to stay in jail just like any other murderer. He has had a life while the one he took was cut short.
nice, he's foot loose and fancy free. Stabbed her 120 times but it was soooo long ago and he's never been caught at anything before or after this murder. So everything is ok.

Because our constitution requires it for everyone who is not convicted of any crimes. See the O.J., Gotti, and Emmett Till cases.
@@danielebrparish4271 They usually jail murderers before trial.
He's lived a full life, and the police didn't look until a man called them.
Thank you, young man, for coming forward with the info. Civic duty. Don't delay reporting on crimes.
What was the information that the young man presented?
So who was he to her? Who is he? Why is he still free walking around when he should be behind bars? He pretty much got away with murder.
That's what I was wondering...what's the motive?
She probably rejected his advances.
Right what is the new evidence? What was the call that he heard that lead to the arrest?
@@LesserMe DNA similar to his was found on her clothes.
@@danielebrparish4271similar or exact match? Has to be an exact match or its not evidence against him.
Wow, I so glad that he is alive and is caught. Condolences to her family. Imagine living with that on your conscience all these years and was a pallbearer at the funeral. I believe that was not the only murder he committed, that's my take. Evil walks among us 😭😭😭😭😭😭
He doesn't have a conscience.
I agree 100%. The police need to look at their other cold cases. 😤
I totally agree that he belongs behind bars. The likely reason he isn't is due to the cost of his medical care. If he were locked up the state would be required to provide, and pay for the cost of his medical care. If the state choose not to do so then his lawyer would file a federal suit. Every angle is wrong.
Hope that coward don't run away
He can't. His age, his medical condition, and his financial condition make it basically impossible for him to do that. That's WHY the prosecutor didn't want to waste the time and money to house this guy for 3 weeks in an overcrowded jail.
Wow so they let him go because of his age and health huh? If it was nevermind smh
Stabbed someone 120 times, and walks out of jail?! 😳
Why would they release him before the trial!?
He's going to take his own life a few days before the trial is scheduled to begin.

Why did the original detective tell the daughter that the evidence wasn’t available. Then it turns up ? And how is a suspect in the murder become a pall bearer ?
Yeah. This report seemed broken up.
So why did he do it? I wanna know and like did she know him? Did he break in her house like what’s the story behind it? It’s crazy.
Someone above said he and her husband worked together.
@@wtogspedersen860 so sad
@@wtogspedersen860 How does that someone know that he and her husband worked together? The story is incomplete.
What has he been doing in the last 60 years after brutally killing this young mother? How many other outstanding cases could get solved?
WOW! It’s a shame that he got to live a whole lifetime and that poor woman did not!🤬. At least justice should be done now
So this is not, new generation of people, it’s a new generation of science and technology
The grandson is a new generation of people, as well as the new science and technology. He's the reason that innocent mother has justice. If he hadn't listened to his grandmother tell the story over and over again and then kept pushing them to look at the evidence again, nothing would have ever happened to get the mother justice.
Bailed out ? Drop the charges due to be old ? Same logic.
Why did he stab her so many times ?? Was there an attempt.of rape and she put up a fight ?!
We may never know.
Usually such overkill is perpetrated by young people. The suspect was 22 years old at the time so it fits. Rejection to sexual advances plus the lack of self-control and heated personality of youth and that's enough to cause such damage.
@@danielebrparish4271 you'd think it's driving him nuts to not vent about it to someone. Who knows. 🤷
@@bettybarg2183 Psychopaths are not like normal people with a conscience.
@@ILGuy2012 true, but the psychopath that killed Chris Kyle (American Sniper) and his friend called his sister and started telling her about it. 🤷
Wonder what else he got away with...What's wrong with these people...?
He should be waiting in jail for the trial. How many old and sick people are in prison right now? You mean to tell me, a man who murdered a woman and has been free for 57 years gets to shuffle on outta there? Jesus sees it all, and he will pay, if not whole heartedly repentant.
Old people can kill people also He does not deserve one minute of freedom. This is disgusting that he is allowed to be free until he goes to court. He is walking by himself and carrying objects. He can walk and carry a knife. How many more bodies does he have under his belt?
He’s not THAT old! He needs to pay for his crimes.
58 years free I call that getting away with it.
No you don't.
What was this murderer’s motive to overkill a young mother ??? 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Street justice. Someone in her family should take care of it.
So the Grandma never told anyone else this information?
She didn’t provide new information.
She didn't know. It always bothered her that no arrest were made smh , go rewatch the video and pay attention this time
In another video the daughter said that 'people' always said he was the killer but there was no evidence, thanks to DNA and cops who were willing to look into the case it's been solved. Sounds like the police dropped the ball on this one and didn't revisit the case.
She always talked about the case so her grandson felt led to call so they would reopen the cold case. What it says.
@@blondie6549thank you. Helps a lot when you are not a native English speaker.
Age and health should not matter. He should be made to stay in jail just like any other murderer. He has had a life while the one he took was cut short.
His age, race, health is IRRELEVANT!
Presumption of innocence isn’t.

nice, he's foot loose and fancy free. Stabbed her 120 times but it was soooo long ago and he's never been caught at anything before or after this murder. So everything is ok.
Since the cops gave him a pass to be on the streets, the family should take street justice, and make him a missing person.
His age and health? If a person can receive life in prison for murder, why should their age and health be considered as justification for not locking them up?
WTF???
she was so cute ... just so sad ... she was hurt .... grandmar deee ...those left crying decades .... who suffered ... they had evidence police just lazy then ....the man who did this made so many suffer thats the crime he dared to carry the casket pallbearer wow thats some psycho oh for sure he has done more can you imagine ... just living um im in tears really the suffering child with out a mom .... ruined lives

What a disgrace to the family to allow the killer to go free. WTH? He MURDERED a living human being, IT DOESN'T MATTER ABOUT HIS HEALTH. She is dead, NO MERCY. I can't believe he is just let go to resume his life. THE D.A. IS WRONG FOR ALLOWING HIM TO GO BACK HOME.

So sad that happened 🙏rip angel❤
So what exactly did the grandmother say that resulted in the case being reopened? Did she name the killer? What is the relationship between the grandmother and the alleged killer? Either I’m missing something or this report left out a lot of crucial details.
Grandma's husband and the victim husband were cousins. Real question is why did the Grandma wait so long to tell🤔
