Short & sweet vid, thank you!!! I just bought this rice cooker, was thinking of returning but after watching this, definitely going to keep it. Thank you.
Works great if you pay attention to instructions. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia For those that complain about "mushy" or "wet" rice I suspect they are using the included cup to measure rice (which is really only 3/4 cup) and then putting in water using a separate measuring cup that is a full cup. This results in too much water and you will get mushy or wet rice and think it is not done. Just use the included cup for both rice and water, or your own measuring cup for rice and water according to your package directions. It will come out fine. I've used mine for years for brown and white rice. If your machine is bubbling white froth out of the steam vent then it means you should have rinsed your brand of rice first to remove some of the starch. Sheesh. Makes me wonder how people can cook well enough to feed themselves.
Excuse me, but I believe you'd better wash them at least three times before you put water for cooking. They are presumed unclean coming out from the warehouse.
+SylviaAlcatrazz I can even give 3 more very important tips that are overlooked by every rice lover. But that might be too much for them, so I'd better keep it for myself.
MAXimizeyourcooking Will try to do an unboxing video over the weekend and hopefully someone will be able to guide me in the right direction with the chinese wordings :) But agree with you, it is a cool rice cooker.
RTFM, 1 cup of rice, you need approx. 1 and half cup of water. 2 cups of rice, you need 2 and 3/4 cups of water. 3 cups of rice, you need 4 cups of water.
Yea, you can easily cook sushi rice in it. It even has a sushi rice button, however, I would test a few batches of sushi rice to determine exactly the amount of water you should put in it! :)
Brown rice needs more time to cook and a little more water. The rice cooker has a special program for this rice and it is perfectly normal that it takes more time to cook.
This is not necessary to do but could help speed up the cooking process. The rice cooker will regulate everything. I don't know much about the difference it would make. If anything, that amount of time the rice soaks (which is always a good thing to do) would be less.
I will still never trust Panasonic, everything I get from them just dies within a year or 2, got a Philips grain master, works great. But will get a Zojirushi IH model in the future, or a Tiger, the best two brands for rice cookers.
For me, it is rather opposite. Lol. Bought a Philips electrical toothbrush, it stopped recharging and working and finally just DIED after 3 months!!!!!! I switched to German Braun, it has been working perfectly, I never trusted Philips anymore! My razor is also from Braun! Panasonic products are awesome too!
@@stevenxia2944 I don'y have much experience with phillips other than the rice cooker which still works and an iron that doesnt but it lasted 5 years which is good for an iron, got this panasonic rice cooker for free basically with a voucher did not know what to spend it on so its a backup.
@@Adeline9418 Great, hope it serves you well. Zoji recently moved their factory for their lower non IH models to China so I will avoid the lower grade ones.

+ha he For a demo though, I think we can overlook that.

Nope.....why would we want a demo that is done improperly. We are learning here so "demo" IS important.
Is Jasmine rice sticky rice too ????????
Just bought one today after watching your video.
You, sir, have made one good investment!
Love the rice cooker. Only issue is everything is in Chinese even on the unit itself.
Hahaha that means you got a good rice cooker! Yea that tends to be a problem part with them. The manual at least. The unit, dang.

I have this Panasonic rice cooker and it is great!!!!!
Thanks man. Was good 😊
The question the whole world wants to know. MAXimizetourcooking. What if you put in 1 cup of jasmine rice, how much water would I add?
E.T. Hahah, well you would add water to line 1, but if you mean a standard U.S. cup, 1 1/3 lines

Why my brown rice take long to boil & cook??
Brown rice needs more time to cook and a little more water. The rice cooker has a special program for this rice and it is perfectly normal that it takes more time to cook.
I never wash rice. But there's always a lot of foam when I cook it. Also Jasmine sounds like a stripper. I love it.
How do we come to know that the rice are cooked. Does any light blinks are any bell rings.
The light will be switched to "Keep Warm".
My mom taught me to never wash rice in the rice cooker. The abrasion rubs off the coating.
Thanks I'm buying a rice rinsing bowl.
@@Adeline9418 My local asian shop sells them for €6,50! I said "Man are you crazy? Is it pure silver or platinum??"
Just found a JBA Tiger rice cooker at Goodwill! $10! Looks alot like yours. JBAT10U.
how to clean the lid
Just wipe it off with a paper towel. That is all for this cooker.
Normally jasmine rice to water ratio is different than what your water level mark says. Those marks are for short grain rice.
it work with the manufacturer, but you have to rinse the rice before cooking to remove the surface starch
Do you put hot water in cooker
This is not necessary to do but could help speed up the cooking process. The rice cooker will regulate everything. I don't know much about the difference it would make. If anything, that amount of time the rice soaks (which is always a good thing to do) would be less.
No, cold water.
