LOCATION: 2900 Grove St
CITY: National City
DETAILS:
For the 3rd time in recent history, the driver of a car flew off of the roadway and hit the back of the strip mall. This time, after hitting the building, the car fell over 10 feet to the ground and lodged between the building and the retaining wall. The female driver was trapped inside and a firefighter entered the car and the got her to the open door. Other firefighters pulled her up to safety. The woman was transported to UCSD hospital with minor injuries. She will be tested for DUI at the hospital. There is a 2’x2′ hole in the building. The Tow companies are having a hard time pulling the car out of where it is lodged.
She's very lucky. Thank God for all the first responders
and the excellent service they provide the public. They
are irreplaceable and selfless people. We are all blessed
to have their sacrificial service.
National City sounds like a superhero comic book name for a city. Its cool.
So many people in San Diego are terrible or careless drivers. We need mandatory driver ed.
Roger SoCal totally. Bring back drivers ed. Too many mindless zombies at the wheel. I learned Courtesy first. Noone even knows what courtesy is. Mandatory drivers ed for everyone.
Too many distracted drivers and speeders. Two main problems right there.
In a case like this, do you ever find out the reason for the accident? I am out of state and do not have access to the same news as everyone else
Wow😯 glad shes ok
She's very lucky to be alive
Tienes razon mi claudia ❤

Would loved seeing them get the car out as it looks like they were having a bit of trouble
Savage wedgie !!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Extremely lucky...glad she was ok.
Bet she gets a DUI
So was it a dui,
It's been a bad week for National City drivers
Baraka Obama cuz they’re bad drivers
How did she even get into that situation without getting hurt?
That Kia held up well, I thought I seen all different types of accidents, no this is a first for me and surprising she was not badly injured, she's lucky. Great job by the first responders, oh I would have loved to see how they got the car out.
Good job boys
I people would actually slow down and go the speed limit. How hard is that to do?
No mms le isieron calson chino
Driver did not like female voice of navigation demanding driver where to go.
Maybe self driving car for the lady by Christmas 2020.
You guys would be in deep shit
without your firefighters...
And you need to strengthen your DUI laws too...
Getting rid of your democrat lawmakers would be a start!
She would have been saved if the tree was still there. Damn thats sucks.
I might beg to differ, if a tree was in her vehicle's path, good chance this would have been fatal into a tree.
I think the fire fighter Collins should be more careful when she came out of the car
