Old video now but im curious to know if you had issues putting in the DEF. I do truck driving and its supposed to be on the driver side. I assume DEF is on the passenger at other places?
Fun Fact: the vehicle used to transport the President, dubbed “Cadillac One,” uses this same chassis. One of the few details we know about it considering everything else is classified.
That's a 40 gal gas tank. These trucks can go up to 65 gallon. New wide towing mirrors available in 2021. This truck is assembled at the International plant but by GM employees. This is a turbo L5D motor not a L5P. Available option accessory air compressor under the hood.
Joe L Hey man, personally I don’t think it’s any larger than the previous gen Kodiak/Topkick. The cab may be marginally smaller since it’s built off the pickup cab and not a van cab, as for your other question, our commercial rep said that GM wanted to partner with international because of their experience building the frame and suspension on heavier duty trucks
Monte Owens Hey man! Truck has about 6,000 miles on it. Spent about 5 weeks at the dealership right out the gate, I will be doing a video soon about mileage and ownership. To answer your question, Highway it sees about 10mpg at best. Unloaded it weighed in at 13,750lbs and I haven’t weighed it loaded
Hey man, owner of the truck here EPA has regulated smaller turbos on the heavy duty line up, Ram, Chevy and Ford all have the same. That’s why you see lower output on the 4500s and up, moreover more longevity of the engine
I'm sure part of it has to deal with the fact GM hasn't bother to bring out the 7500. And if GM doesn't bring out the 7500 again, then they're really stupid.
@@jetsetjoey If I remember correctly, the class 6 kodiaks/topkicks from about the 80's up till 2009 have the gvwr 26,001lbs + with the ability to derate the gvwr to fit the buyers needs. GM is gunna themselves in the foot. And for them to think that they're gunna compete with Ford.
*Ultimate Duramax??* What do you think?
Awesome

I need one
I'd like to see one with a dually bed

This truck is a beast man
The dog wants to play catch 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome, Just waiting for someone to build a motor home on this chassis. Someone will get smart on this option!
A flowtie kinda like the Camaro Zl1
Always liked the Kodiaks ,they're great trucks ! These look good.
This thing is a beast. Gives off new GMC TOPKICK vibes
About the def cap, gm got smart with the 2020 diesel pickups and put it next to the diesel cap.
No they didn't
@@BobPierceok yes they did, it’s next to the diesel fill cap in the fuel door.
@@hunternelson3018 If you are talking about pickup trucks only, this isn't a pick up truck so this comment would be irrelevant to the video.
@@BobPierceok I’m talking about the pickups, the one tons and 3/4 tons.
U Haul should start adding these to their fleet
see if have slide mirrors they extend out more 3500 slide in n out

Are the new mirrors available at the parts counter? The current mirrors you CAN NOT see down the sides with a 102" wide bed!
@@chakagillis yes. The new Valvac mirrors are available.
How is the truck holding up after a year and what kind of mileage is on it hopefully trouble free.
How much did this cost? Thanks for the video.
I like it
Need front mudflaps for that bad boy hit me up !
How do I order one for personal use?
Was wondering about the Kodiak and Topkick. Is this larger? This looks really nice. Don’t know why GM just wouldn’t make it allthemselves though.

Does GMC make a version of this
pizza with pineapple crust
Nope only Chevy will be carrying the 4500+ lineup
@@Productsthathateyou. International also carries the 4500-6500 line with Duramax & Allison
truckguyjoe You are correct!
I wish they did.
1:24 is it me or did the paint already have defects?
Ya Boi CJ
No visible defects in the paint, probably just my iPhone 6 camera quality
Can you give us an update on the 4500? Gas mileage etc.

5 weeks?! What went wrong ?
That sticker and blue cap gotta fall off in Mexico ASAP
That sticker is a big deal in no idle states like California. But that blue def cap.... when you’re right, you’re right 👊
Why order a detuned Duramax?
For durability, the less power an engine makes the easier it is on components and the longer it will last
@@tl5108 Thanks. That makes great sense.
