I swear man... Atris is such a bad character, in such a good way. I can't stand her. What about you? Don't forget to join my Discord! | - discord.gg/ZA735En
Why exactly do you hate her? I know there are many reasons for not liking her, especially when you take a closer look at the dialogues and what she did. She definitely was a threat that had to be stopped, and I don't like what she did. What I don't like about her is that she valued her status as a Jedi Master more than admitting that she and the council could have been wrong. She was not questioning the Jedi way or herself, definitely a bad attitude. But hating her sounds too rough and simple to me. In a way, one can say that all the Jedi falling to the dark side despite their training seems to have afflicted her very much. I also think that she generally is not an evil person and even think that she had meant well and had the intent to fight the evil in the galaxy. She was just not realizing that her way of trying to achieve this won't help to achieve this goal and make it even worse. This should of course not be seen as an excuse for her actions, but I can't say that I hate her. It's more that I feel sorry for her fall. And this, to me at least, is really a fall, because it was not her intention.
100% Star Wars Until within those last few moments, Atris takes the first step towards redemption. She finally begins to realise what she has become. That’s crucial, I think. I’d like to think that after Telos, she slowly began to rediscover herself and her relationship with the Force, and she became a far greater Jedi and woman as a result. A true Master, one who has learned wisdom the hard way, much like Revan and Meetra.
I don't know if this is true, but I heard that there was supposed to be more scenes in the game that would've revealed that Darth Traya influenced Artis' decision in exiling Meetra Surik from the Jedi Order in order to allow the events in Kotor 2 to unfold, but unfortunately the game was rushed so they didn't have time to add this scene(s).
I don't know why, but Atris reminds me a little bit of Mace Windu with how narrow minded their ideologies are and how they feared losing their power so they went against their own code to ensure the Jedi's survival even though their actions are what caused or at least played a part in its destruction.
It is rather poetic that Atris would hold Meetra Surik lightsaber and fall to the dark side by trying to get how to resist the tentation, she was beaten by her incapacity to accept it was Meetra's decision and not the appeal from the dark side that made her choose war.
"It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it." Her ego was her downfall, at every point. Great video, love your KOTOR II content
Atria is a perfect example of one of my favorite movie quotes of all time from The Dark Knight, “You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”. Also it’s interesting because KOTOR 2 came out a few short months before Episode 3 and Atris really fits in to the “becoming the thing you swore to destroy” category lol
She really is a classic character, and a perfect representation of the Jedi and their failings. Atris is just so darn fascinating. Aggravating, but fascinating. Also, that cosplay is fantastic!
"All this collected knowledge, all these teachings of combat and the Force - they are mine to command" - Atris She is definitely among the most memorable characters in the game, with her snide remarks, and "strong" attitude towards you. Great video! Always wanted to know more about Atris and her past, as the game only tells you bits and pieces.
Hoo boy, When I played the game she pissed me off! She steals my ship, my droid and my lightsaber, stands me on a space station (Which was a slog and a half) And nearly gets me killed by Knockoff assassins and she has the gall to call me evil!? Not killing her to stay on the light path was a challenge in itself!
I’ve never her of this Character before. This Atris is a very interesting and compelling character. She was split to the bone in her ideology of what she thought was wrong and right. She was delusional too and a bit proud of herself to think that she couldn’t be corrupted by Sith or whatever they called themselves in that era. Ironically; She was corrupted and thus became that which she thought she was immune to. Overall, a very compelling and intriguing character.
Thanks for doing this I didn’t realize that she viewed Mitra in such adoration and that explains why she felt the way she did toward her after she returned for judgement of the order
So the Handmaidens were half sisters of Atris and the Handmaidens are half sisters of Brianna the last handmaiden. Are Atris and Brianna full blooded siblings? Atris and Kreia do share many similarities.
It's heavily implied, according to many KOTOR Fans, that Brianna is Kreia's daughter. Since her father fell in love with a Jedi during the Mandalorian Wars and Echani children often look identical to their parents. Kreia also served in the Mandalorian Wars too and also seemed to be very familiar with Brianna's story even for an expert Force-Sensitive like herself.

Of all the Jedi that have ever existed in the Star Wars Universe, I hate Atris the most, and here's why. Historically, what has constantly caused the Jedi Order to fall (and what Luke constantly tried to avoid with his New Jedi Order), was the Jedi became infected by a disease, and that disease is known as Dogmatism. Basically, for those who don't know what Dogmatism is, they believed their way was the only way, that it was perfect as it was (when in reality it was filled to the brim with flaws), and they refused to adapt and evolve to meet the needs of the changing times. Atris is a perfect example of what happens when Dogmatism is allowed to linger for so long that it becomes Fanaticism and/or Zealotry. When that happens, basically EVERYONE becomes your enemy, because you're no longer fighting for the true Greater Good. What you're fighting for instead is your own PERSONAL PERVERSION of the concept of the Greater Good.

Your hate for Atris isn't something I understand because she is in a way the deciple of Keira (Keira mention that she turn Atris into another Darth Traya Acolyte) if you don't see this then your're a hypocrite but this wouldn't shock me because i see the same lines over and over again (Kotor 2 will be the best story to the end of time / Keira is a Messiah / Revan is a God). I hope that Atris find peace in exile but that she can comunicate with sith holocrons is an interesting way to use the force even when she is fallen to the dark side.
Atris is honestly worse then the sith! Atleast the sith are honest about what they are and what they do whereas Atris hid her evil under her so called jedi code and teachings she's basically the high sparrow of starwars

it is not atris's fault kreia "broke" her
It was Atris' fault that she broke herself. Kreia merely revealed what was broken.
Atris is an image of what the jedi exile would be like if she had been totally loyal to the council and the jedi code during the mandalorian wars.
Atris is a example of a flawed Jedi era.
Soooooo...it's because of Atris the later Jedi only grew for the worse ? Because from what I gather, while there were some dogmas already, it was because of Atris they only grew worse and more demanding.
Atris Targaryen.
I always kill Atris in KOTOR regardless if it's a light side play through.
Does she deserve such abuse? 😳
@@100StarWars absolutely she's too dangerous to leave alive with Meetra's apprentices rebuilding the Jedi Order
@@lorrivaldez5412 She must stand trial!
And yet much of her philosophy lived on through the dogmatic tendencies of many on the Jedi high council far later
Have you ever seen atris did join with Jedi exile went to malachor V if you play light side atris did fight Darth Traya on sith temple in the malachor V but if you play as the dark side you fight not Darth Traya but you will on dark atris and her dark sisters want to kill you.
She lowkey cute, sucks how shes corrupted
Cute but pyscho? Just my type :))
@@100StarWars MY GUYYYYYYY
This is proof that both the Jedi and Sith Codes are Morally FLAWED heck dose the Force even care about True Morality and/or Compassion?
Probably not
Normally an outfit of simple white implies a certain wisdom, an elder's warmth and caring. Not with Atris. I see her and feel cold. Sheer cold.
Ima base my swtor Jedi off her.
at the end, just a Karen. That's why they shouldn't have any kind of power
Canon ending is meetra stabs her to death change my mind
Anyone else get Jedi Karen vibes from Atris?
yes
Atris is a Jedi Karen
Atris is honestly worse then the sith! Atleast the sith are honest about what they are and what they do whereas Atris hid her evil under her so called jedi code and teachings she's basically the high sparrow of starwars
She got on my damn nerves...
Great video! I was not a fan, very hypocritical and narrow minded.
I blame Atris for why the Jedi are always messing things up.
Her own ironic hypocrisy knew no bounds.
