Great analysis! Just subscribed to your channel. I talked about this in some of my recent videos where I feel like we're all relying on online price guides too much, especially when they don't track sales from ComicLink and other sources. Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Thanks for watching. I wish there was a source that captured everything, but glad we at least have GPA to give us some sort of guidance. Instagram is also a huge marketplace for comics. Just no reasonable way to track that right now. In the end, everyone has to make their own decisions on what they are comfortable spending on a book. I'll check out your channel.
The AF 15, Tos39 and the Spidey 1 were all first generation CGC slabs. Some people really look for those since these were pre pressing days. I know people pressed back then but it was not like it is today. On the flip side, the books moved around more in the older cases. I still have a bunch of mine. Those that I did a CPR on mostly increased in grade. A few stayed the same, and a couple dropped. All part of the game! I love your channel!!
Appreciate the comments. It's a gamble to crack out old slabs, but I agree the odds are in your favor. Will be interesting to see if these come back to the market in the same slabs.
Rob, great Comiclink post auction video ! It’s really unfortunate that they don’t work with GPA ! Huge amount of sales data that could benefit the hobby !
Tough to say. It looks like the prices are dropping more slowly than the past year or so...but in general are still going down. I'd say wait for the copy you want with good page quality. The supply is higher than ever for Silver Age.
@@rhmidwestcomics ok good to know, I’ll just have to be patient and look for deals. I’m looking into ASM and Batman, so you think keys of them books are decent ?
@thelasvegaskid Spider-Man and Batman keys are some of the most desirable books in the hobby. But many of them are still dropping in price, so just be aware of that.
Awesome video. Anyway, there are lots of Low sales here. Kind of depressing if you are a comic book collector.. anyway, amazing fantasy, 15 6.0. I have that book it looks much better presents much better no Marvel chipping cream to off white pages.. the one that sold on Comic Link if you look at it, it looks like the cover is overlapping the pages in the book. It’s not a great 6.0. I’m sure the seller thought he was going to get much more.. my book was graded 20 years ago.. it’s gorgeous compared to that copy. I bought my copy years ago in New York for only $4000.. I’m not selling my book I was offered $100,000 at the New York comicon in October. I refused the money.. presentation means a lot and listen. Page quality does not always bring a premium I watch lots of auctions.. whoever sold the tales of suspense 39 8.5 he must be suicidal because he only got $60,000 or $62,000 white pages which doesn’t mean crap most of the time.. I bought mine 8.5 for $5300 a few years ago cream to off white.. you do know the end of Covid Comic Link sold the tales of suspense 8.5 for $120,000 and the next copy $99,000.. yes prices are back to normal now. That kind of sucks.. anyway, I love your video. It was awesome.. I am almost positive. The seller of the tales of suspense will probably have a nervous break down. That was a horrible price that the book got.
Love hearing your commentary. Man comics have gone back up lots
Thank you. Even though some books have corrected by 50 to 70%, they are still so much higher than 2020 prices.
@@rhmidwestcomics true yeah I’m noticing more comics coming down as you go through the list!

Thank you. More great auctions happening in June at Heritage and CC.

Thanks Ken. Completely agree. Maybe one day.
Yeah CoC 19 &23. Own both of them. Bought them in 2006. Yup
Good job
Thanks. Was way longer than planned. Next time less books.

If silver age is dropping, good buying opportunities?

Thanks for the comments. Yes, definitely many surprising sales, both strong and weak. You have some great books! Hope to see them one day.
