I'd really appreciate you showing how you make and store your beans for the week. I'd like to get away from relying on canned beans all the time and save money! You are so smart to have figured out how to do the fresh then freezer meals as the week goes along. Thank Kiki!

I'm so grateful to have found your videos!! I've watched them all and I'm down about 10 lbs in only a few weeks! I have been vegan for 3 years but this program (starch solution) has been an absolute game changer for me plus I'm actually full after I eat!! I look forward to watching your videos so thanks to your husband for taking one for the team at the grocery store!! LOL

I really like the idea of eating out of the freezer. We have a stocked freezer but I dont really think to eat out of it when we run out of fresh produce and will go to the store again and I hate it! I use the freezer as a means for smoothies but this really broadened my thoughts. Thank you!

For years for produce bags I use mesh laundry bags(like you use for gentle washing clothes) the upside is they have a zipper on them, can go from grocery store to in fridge(great for loose items like fresh green beans etc) Upside is you can find them at many dollar stores in different sizes to fit your needs, affordable on your pocket book and wash up well.

Since this pandemic and people emptying the grocery store shelves, i started canning. We live 35 minutes away from the store, so i bought a pressure canner as well as a big stock pot and rack, for water bath canning. I have canned black beans and kidney beans, also navy bean soup and MANY other things.
Love walking to the pantry and grabbing things off the shelf ❤
    We also planted a 42' x 68' garden with:
    Beets
    Beans (burgundy and green)
    Peas
    Snow peas
    Swisschard
    Spinach
    Corn
    Potatoes
    Rutabaga
    Sweet peppers
    Tomatoes
    Lettuce
    Radishes
    Dill
    Butternut squash
    Zucchini
    Spaghetti squash
    😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Oh...and a little raised herb garden!!

Hi from Hawaii! Love all your videos and got your cookbook too. Can you do a budgeting video to help us with spending tips and tricks? Im also curious what amount of food do you eat off the homestead, and how much do you buy from the stores? What is a realistic amount of money to spend for 1 person or 2? Or what is your family's average monthly grocery bill? I like to shop at Costco and Whole Foods and Asian markets, but they are not much cheaper in Hawaii, as I live on Oahu. Thanks and aloha!

Cool 👍 U should try short grain brown rice. I tried to get keen on basmati but discovered short grain. It’s more expensive but so nutty and chewy . If u like wheat berries and barley, u will love it 😍
I use IP, 3 minutes on multi grain . Then leave it to naturally release and open after 30 minutes. It cooks in the steam. If it’s not done, just put the lid back on. Ratio of rice:water is 1cup :1.5 water respectively. Hope you try it .

How do you always stay on track? I do my produce grocery hauls and I end up throwing out some of it..especially the lettuce because I get tired of salad. I'd love to know how you get over the hump of just wanting a chocolate bar for dinner? I could come home from a long busy day at work and I just don't feel like a healthy meal. I never crave meat, but I'll just want a big plate of tater tots. Regular crispy tater tots with ketchup all over them. Or noodles with gravy. Yes, I can make the healthy version. I make homemade mushroom gravy w/veggie broth. But I don't feel like eating veggies with it. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE veggies, but some days, I just don't want them. Help! Anyone??

    • @PlantifulKiki
      @PlantifulKiki  4 роки тому +10

For me it just came down to my health depending on it......I was really unhealthy and having serious medical problems and I didn't want to get worse. Every time I craved something bad I just reminded myself that it wouldn't add to my well being, and I was able to retrain my brain that way. But I also just found ways of making healthy versions of stuff...Like oil free tater tots and oil free and sugar free chocolate muffins etc.... for when I really want something:)

I don't know if you are aware of this, but Anthony William (Medical Medium) believes in a low-fat plant-based diet. He has been keeping me on the low fat path (already was vegan for eons) but now, COVID-19 is keeping me WFPBNO even more! Because of food shortages, it's flat out easier to stick to low fat whole foods eating! I'm no longer tempted to eat two jars of peanut butter because you can't even find peanut butter!

Exactly. That’s why I was open to her videos when I found her. Anthony said “no fat” for healing or a low fat style if you are healthy. I was so happy to find someone who had done no fat and lost weight and got healed of medical issues.

Do you have a book? I'm eating plant based but I need help with meal plan and seasonings. Also, I like how you have the basic elements and you make different meals with a lot of variety, any books you recommend reading for stuff like that?

Excellent video and decided to subscribe. A whole plants foods based diet is best for your immune system and will help fight against disease including the current Coronavirus being spread throughout the world.

do you guys have a costco or sams membership? i find it super useful for buying lots of produce, herbs, and lemons/limes to last for up to a month, even in a household of 2-3!

Hello new to your channel.I am looking forward to trying this. Was wondering how soon after starting this way of life did you start to see the pounds fall off?
Btw could you make a video sharing your food list?
