Hi! Great video, I wonder if you use those bearings with spacers or not. My Bronson Raws came to me without them and apparently you can ride without them too. I'm very curious 🎉🎉I'm curious how it looks for you, really respect mate, one of my favorite videos on UA-cam😅
My current set up bronson raw + 97a bones x formula 🔥 I had my bearings for a few months now they don’t roll by them selves kinda crusty but if you spin them they will spin for a while
Hello! great video. i wanted to ask how you think the bronson raws hold up to water damage and puddles. i live in england and it can get quite rainy and drizzly. again great vid!
i'd say they hold up pretty well. i live in rainy washington USA, and i put these things through the mud and puddles all the time. as long as you keep skate em frequently enough they shouldnt freeze up you
I got those wheels on my pool board amazing for smooth concrete!! I really want to try those raws but man they are not cheap. Cool that they barely wore down for ya. My dragons wore down quite a bit over just 3 months probably because they are softer wheels.
I’ve been skating the bones f formula for about 2 weeks u love them! I don’t think I’ll ever skate another wheel either!! I got some Bronson ceramics on sale thinking they be faster then Raw and was very disappointed that they are only as fast as my shake hunt triple OGs I used to skate!
@@buildingglocks5797to be fair I think that as long as your bearings are not trash (as in not spinning freely) you’re not going to notice much difference from one set to a new one. You’d be more likely to sense a change in speed from a change in durometer, riding surface or wheel diameter.
Love that construction vest. When I saw it I thought of the Beastie Boys. It is a great disguise to cover the curb spraying. I think the Bones X formula will be it for me. I got bit with some of the board madness and trying some new wheels again. I just gotta stop. Great to hear the Bronson Raws are doing so well.
Dude in 2017 I bought bones easy streets 99a and was the best wheel ever, then they discontinued them so I got bones 99a wheels thinking they were the same but they were totally different, the easy streets had a perfect grip and slide and stayed bone white, the new 99a I got where Yellow out of the package and felt like a normal bones 100a, but when I seen that x formula 99a it looks like it might be the easy streets formula, I think they were looking for customer feedback and to see if people would be interested in it. Did you ever try the easy streets?
@@professored7169 I didn't try the easy streets but Ive heard the newer STF 99a isn't the same as the old bone-white STF 99a easy streets. The X99 has stayed white like it was out of the package. Maybe the same? I was under the impression it is the same formula as dragon and X97 just harder
@@jamesryan4325 imma have to try them out but won't be for awhile I just got a reissue custom complete, I can not spend more money rn 😅 I'm hoping they're like those easy streets, plus no ones dropped a review on the x99 yet

The thought of shieldless bearings seems kinda wild to me. I have had bearings that I removed shields to clean and they wouldn’t go back in, but it wasn’t ideal. Just seems like they’d get full of junk. I can’t deny that they seem to roll, and well. And my bearings with shields end up full of junk anyway. Maybe I’ll give them a shot. I don’t ride when it’s wet or like sandy spots or anything. I guess my biggest concern would be grinding curbs and filling up with concrete dust and chips and such, or mulch if you shoot into a planter. I’ve always liked Powell wheels, I have a set of mini logo 56mm that I’ve had for years, they are pretty wide I guess like a spitfire radial. Almost cover axle nuts. I liked that bones x and dragon formula are so smooth and quiet sounding on video but I haven’t tried them yet.
The raws have a coating on the ball bearings I believe. The theory is that if there's no lube or anything the dirt and debris won't have anything to stick too. I've been skating that curb quite a bit and My wheels get dug into the dirt when I mess up my boardslides.
bro ive been skating the RAW's and holy hell they fkn spinforever!!!! i just got the mag lights too, looking forward to my first session on them. might have to get some of these wheels next, im mostly skating my mini ramp, what do you think about these wheels on gatorskins?
Ooooo it's hard to say. Might give just a little more grip than you have now. Assuming your on a 99 or 101a. I mainly like em because pretty much all I skate is crusty parking lots
Second set of raws and same thing happened, one bearing just got stuck and didn't spin anymore after two weeks of use. Another one doesn't spin as freely as the others. I really wanted to like them because they look cool and sound nice but they just don't do it for me. I think G3's are better than Raws but I will stick with my two sets of Bones Super Swiss 6. I do love the Bones X-Formula wheels though!
I just put new wheels on and I forgot how much of a difference it makes I was riding bones 51 mm but they got shaved down to about 44 45 mm ,I put a fresh pair of the bones stf 103a pj ladd wheels with bronson raws man I was loving it at the park yesterday so smooth and fast
What's your thoughts on the x formulas compared to the dragon formulas? I'm skating the dragons and they just seem to just catch on nose and boar slides. Especially on metal
They seem fine to me. I know exactly what your talking with the dragons wheels too. But also keep in mind I don't skate a lot of metal ledges. I have skated my box with angle iron and I don't remember having any issues
you have got some really cool looking boards but i could stare at boards all day. i wanted to say that i like my bronson ceramic bearings but im not really seeing a huge difference in speed i was hoping for. im back after a long break and back then you had basiclly three choices.nmb, gmn and bones swiss. there were others but they sucked . the bones swiss were way way faster.i was hoping for that but it didnt happen. as far as how long they last i dont know yet. all on dragons 58mm. they kick ass
@nottoday8888 that's awesome! I'd live to visit there someday. Also idk if you've heard of the Teskey Brothers. But they're an awesome blues band out of Australia 🇦🇺
Bit late but the core spacers don't really do anything for regular skateboarding. The idea behind them makes sense and they are actually used primarly in downhill longboarding but with regular street wheels, the tolerances just aren't good enough or even the same across different wheel brands for them to work!
spacers vs no spacers no difference except another step to do cleaning.you can tighten them a little more but why? i still use them but i know for a fact i dont need them
@@chrhadden i have one board with spacers, and none on the rest. i just ordered a bunch. i don't like how it affects the sound and it seems like it spins slower, but it seems like it protects bearings from side impact damage and protects against axle slippage
it's mainly preference. i feel like it's better for my type of skating. mainly the wheelbite factor, and i like my board being a little lower to the ground.

@buildingglocks5797 I too have he great experiences with the Shake Junt OG bearings. Rolled great and fast.
Ceramics aren't faster, they're more durable. I have sets of Swiss ceramics that are 20 years old.

Parking lots and curbs. My wheels/bearings go in the dirt frequently.
