There were 3 coaches which were painted white and had a gold color Ashoka emblem mounted in the center of the coach. Times have changed and so has the president safety and security too. Waiting for two hours is not on. A delay of 30 mins should do, this is going back to times in the 80's. Concern for the travelling public should also be taken into consideration, but that thought has to come from the people in power and the administration.

Soon after his visit that coach was made out of service because it had became very old and not fit to be used, and government also didn't order for a replacement. So now when Ram Nath Kovind planned for a ride, railway had no option left but to use Maharaja Express coaches for the presidential train. But now the question remains that why only Maharaja Express was selected, they could have used Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Deccan Oddesy etc which are equally luxurious? Answer to this is that Maharaja's TWO coaches were developed as a Presidential Suit when the train was being built. That particular coach is equipped with all the necessary instruments and also having bullet proof windows.
