I still remember my last journey in the narrow gauge that was from MIRAJ JUNCTION TO KURUDWADI IN 72 I THINK.ANOTHER INTERESTING FACT MIRAJ WAS THE ONLY STATION WHICH WAS OPERATING ALL THE THREE GAUGES N WAS PART OF SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY AT THAT POINT OF TIME.MY FATHER WHO WAS IN THE RAILWAYS WAS TRANSFERRED FROM MIRAJ TO SECUNDRABAD IN TELAGANA STATE NOW.I STILL HAV WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF THAT BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY.ANY BODY FROM MIRAJ CAN GET IN TOUCH WILL B HAPPY ABOUT IT.
काफी अच्छा लगा यह रूट देख कर, आपने हमारे गांव के पास वाले स्टेशन को मिस कर दिया। #नरपुरा। इस रेल रूट का बहुत समृद्ध इतिहास है हमारे उपनिवेशिक भारत से। महाराजा राम सिंह ने इस रेल को अंग्रेज़ो से जीत था। और यह रेल सिर्फ राजस्थान ही नही उत्तरप्रदेश को भी जोड़ती है।

Hello Sandeep Remind my childhood I am from Baseri in this route you show us a small station after mohari. I travelled many times by this train.... In the begining purpose of this train was for transport red stone from sirmathura to tantpur. Tantpur was the big stone mandi from where red stone supply to other part of country. When I was child this train has coal engine.

मुझे याद आ रही है लातूर>मिरज नँरो गेज 337 किलोमीटर रेल लाईन की जो लातूर से निकलकर बार्शी, कुर्डूवाडी, पंढरपूर, सांगोला होकर मिरज पहूँचती थी. बार्शी से लातूर जाते वक्त रामलिंग स्टेशन के पास एक पर्बत था और 2 मिल तक यह रेल डेड स्लो गती से जाती थी इतने धीरे से की यात्री गाडी से उतरकर, गाडी के साथ गाडी के गती से चलकर फिर उसी डब्बे में सवार हो जाते थे. पंढरपूर में आषाढ महीने में एकादशी के दिन "विठ्ठल (पांडूरंग)-रखुमाई" दर्शन हेतू इस गाडी में भक्तोंकी बहोत भीड रहती थी. हर माह भी एकादशी के पहले 4 ओर बाद में 4 दिन भक्तोंकी भीड रहती थी और है इसलिए इस लाईन को 'देवाची गाडी' भी कहाँ जाता है. अंग्रेज सरकारने इसी हेतू यह रेल लाईन बिछाने के लिए ब्रिटन की बार्शी लाईट रेल्वे कंपनी को इजाजत दी थी. कैलथ्रॉप इंजिनीयर ने बार्शी से कुर्डुवाडी तक यह लाईन बिछाई थी जिसका बाद में विस्तार किया गया. मैंने दो बार इस लाईन पर यात्रा की है. सावन के महीने में इतना सुंदर दृष्य दिखता था की मानो अब आशा पारेख आकर 'निसुल्तानारे प्यारका मौसम आया' गायेगी.

मुझे याद आ रही है लातूर>मिरज नँरो गेज 337 किलोमीटर रेल लाईन की जो लातूर से निकलकर बार्शी, कुर्डूवाडी, पंढरपूर, सांगोला होकर मिरज पहूँचती थी. बार्शी से लातूर जाते वक्त रामलिंग स्टेशन के पास एक पर्बत था और 2 मिल तक यह रेल डेड स्लो गती से जाती थी इतने धीरे से की यात्री गाडी से उतरकर, गाडी के साथ गाडी के गती से चलकर फिर उसी डब्बे में सवार हो जाते थे. पंढरपूर में आषाढ महीने में एकादशी के दिन "विठ्ठल (पांडूरंग)-रखुमाई" दर्शन हेतू इस गाडी में भक्तोंकी बहोत भीड रहती थी. हर माह भी एकादशी के पहले 4 ओर बाद में 4 दिन भक्तोंकी भीड रहती थी और है इसलिए इस लाईन को 'देवाची गाडी' भी कहाँ जाता है. अंग्रेज सरकारने इसी हेतू यह रेल लाईन बिछाने के लिए ब्रिटन की बार्शी लाईट रेल्वे कंपनी को इजाजत दी थी. कैलथ्रॉप इंजिनीयर ने बार्शी से कुर्डुवाडी तक यह लाईन बिछाई थी जिसका बाद में विस्तार किया गया. मैंने दो बार इस लाईन पर यात्रा की है. सावन के महीने में इतना सुंदर दृष्य दिखता था की मानो अब आशा पारेख आकर 'निसुल्तानारे प्यारका मौसम आया' गायेगी.
