I,am,77 years old.My grand father was working as good train guard inB.B.C.I..He joined during British regime. He suffered lot of hardship ,but he was quiet happy because ,there was discipline in job which was more valuable than any other things.

आप का यह विडिओ इतना जिन्दा है की घर बैठे जब भी मुझे रेल सफ़र का मजा़ लूटना हो तो बस, मै इस विडिओ को देखता हूँ और गार्ड साहब की केबिन में बैठे रेल सफ़र का मजा़ लूटता हूँ। इस विडिओ में पिछे बैठकर कॅमेरे से शूटिंग का नजा़रा इतना बढिया खींचा है की देखते ही बनता है।
वाकई , लुत्फ़ आ जाता है इस जिन्दा विडिओ देखने का. साथ साऊंड इफ़ेक्टस् भी अच्छे है जो विडिओ को और ज्यादा जिन्दा बनाने में काम आते है।

My father has spent almost whole life in this bogie. He is to normally return home after 3-7 days. The biggest problem is getting food, water and beverages in this bogie as wherever train stops this bogie is far away from the station. If you carry 3-4 days tiffin, you just can’t eat it second time. In summer foods gets dry so he used to make it soft by adding water. In summer the bogie gets so hot that difficult to sit, in winter too much shivering has to face because the bogie is open and not air tight. In rainy and stormy season water used to enter and make inside total wet. In case of goods train robbery, many times guard is being killed. The guard has to face many years railway enquiry in robbery case to justify his stand. The guard normally keeps in his jam, snacks, pickle to support his food to make it eatable in his black box. In case of if any person dies due to the goods train, the injured or dead person is kept in this bogie and guard has to live in that situation for many hours and sometimes days also till any big railway station comes. Overall life of guard’s job in this bogie is very painful and even after so many modernisations; railway has ignored to upgrade this bogie to safeguard guard’s safety and long life.

My father retired as a mail express guard but in his initial days, he was working on goods trains too and would tell us how difficult life was. May the railway authorities look at improving their working conditions. It does not cost much to provide basic facilities like toilets and washroom for them.
Are u reply say in joining or goods train job very hard and difficult , but problem not solve in job or life OK. I have one idea or concept if we join one pantry car to goods train . OK first in fast train occupied pantry car space. And remain seats given to ondinaey passenger or2) speed of train increase and time required for traveling less OK . most junction station not stop train OK .then good drive and security increase with goods guard. And food provide also provide possible .or time and increase revenue. For railway by providing free food and water providing ok

True. Some goods guards have a lucky day when the train happens to be a modified NMG/parcel van rake, where the guard compartment is taken straight out of a passenger train for coupler compatibility.

I'm a goods guard in South Central Railway. Many times guard's belongings or even guards itself fall down from running train. It's very difficult job. Rare to rarest chance you go to home within 8 hours otherwise it takes 12+ hours always.

ट्रैन गार्ड्स की नौकरी बहुत ही साहस,धैर्य की नौकरी है।केबिन में ना तो टॉयलेट की व्यवस्था होती है और ना ही मौसम के अनुकूल केबिन होते हैं।गर्मियों में गर्म और सर्दियों ठंडे केबिन हो जाते हैं।धन्य हैं गार्ड्स जो इन विपरीत परिस्थितियों में कार्य के करते हैं।
I am not sure why we cant add lights and a simple toilet in this compartment ... that difficult ?
Toilet if added will be difficult to clean becoz goods train stops are not fixed and sometimes even stop at some small station and mostly in yard having goods train on both side so making it difficult for cleaners to go there and if not cleaned it will be difficult for gaurd to stay..

Watch this video, now IR has started adding toilets, I had tweeted the same to Mr. Piyush Goyal too. Indian railways twitter handle replied that they are looking into the matter.(Around 1 year ago). It's good that Railways is listening to common public.

At 9:15 it was 12554 Vaishali Superfast. It was coming back to Barauni from New Delhi.
The guard van in goodstrain must have a pucca washroom, lights and a safety latch outside to prevent the guard from falling out due to jerks.
This is injustice..... Government should make Wash room and Comfortable seat for goods gaurd Cabin...

When we are able to run Semi Speed high trains like Vandhe Bharat Express why cannot the Railways provide decent wash room facilities for Gaurds Cabin in Goods Train. They should also be provided with security Gaurd to Protect them at Night. Thanks Dhhanjay Ji for highlighting their issues thru this eye opener Award Winning Video. Next time When i travel comfortably in Reserved coaches i shall defenitely feel sad Thinking about these Railway personnel who are doing their daily duty with great dedication and sincerity. Loco Pilot cabins should also be provided with Washroom facilities. Fully enjoyed this Highly informative and Educative video. i have subscribed for your channel.

Wash room is not impossible۔ one small detachable carriage can be attached between guard room and the last wagon۔ the carriage may contain some berths، washroom، small pantry etc which can be used for commercial purpose also۔
there are operational constraints.......in sidings brakevan needs to be marshelled from back to front from where the train usually changes direction........solution is there should be brakevan with pantry and toilets at both ends of the entire train but that will result in lessening number of wagon by one which is not commercially viable 😜
BTPN type rakes does have brakevan at both end due to safety reasons
