Not that this applies to you since you haven’t run any coffee through it, but on mine I had basically that same issue because the beans I used was to “oily” apparently and that caused the auger and all that stuff get clogged up. I had to do a full clean and hard reset. After a while I don’t use the app for coffee anymore. My biggest complaint is I feel like I have to do clean cycles way more than they recommend. You can make a cup without the drip tray in as well. But you do want to make sure you put it back because afterwords because it’ll spit out a little bit of water to do like a cleaning shot like 10 minutes after wards. Anyway good luck with the replacement!
Yes, the support person mentioned that oily beans can do that. I guess I'll have to switch from my old standby, Starbucks French Roast from Costco. I figured the app was something I'd play with at the start and then just use the buttons. Good to know about the cleaning cycles. For me, the big selling point was it worked like a Keurig and could make a cup at a time, but from fresh ground beans. How do you find the coffee? Better than the Keurig or the usual drip coffee fare, I'm hoping. Support seemed quite responsive and said they would work to get the machine back to me quickly. They noted that no replacements were currently available for shipping... I guess that's not a surprise after waiting 2.5 years for my first one... and said they would repair my unit and get it back to me. I can live with that.
i cannot believe this product actually got delivered! i preordered 3-4 years ago and eventually asked for my money back. The company started deleting negative comments about their delays on their fundraiser page and that was a deal breaker for me. Others believed that they would never deliver on the product and just use the company to sell mail order beans. Looks like I'll be reordering.
I too was surprised. After a long wait though, I can say it was worth it. The remaining question is of course reliability, but so far this machine delivers on what I'd hoped for. Cup on demand, beans to coffee with convenience of Keurig without the waste. Add to that the variety of coffee drinks it can make and the fact that it's genuinely boutique-quality coffee and I can say that so far, I strongly recommend it. Even the skeptics in my family are now firmly in the Spinn camp.
@@ceptember. we are currently using a fairly oily French roast. We seem to have to make sure it's feeding into the grinder. Time will tell if it leads to other issues.
Whenever you do install the water line (just did), it is a 1/4” OD water line. For some reason, it would not work initially, but after I filled up the reservoir with water one more time and exhausted the tank, it recognized the new water line and fills after each beverage now.
The too big cup probably touches a senser on the delivery spout, giving an error. Likely to prevent or sense overflow condition. How else would it detect a full cup or how much is delivered?
Makes me feel like I made the right decision going with the Phillips 3200 Fully Automatic Espresso machine instead as I was looking at this machine as well.
@@SalemWoodworks yes, I can understand how reliability ranks highly for most which is why the 4 year warranty (after registering) was great for the Phillips. These machines are so pricey I think it's one of the best gestures that they could show to the consumer.
Update... I got my replacement and it worked as designed. I love it! ua-cam.com/video/9tPpd8CBwa4/v-deo.html
@tobe we are LOVING it. Keurig convenience and barista flavor. I plan to post an update video soon.
Best coffee machine ever! I was swearing when i first saw this video.

Support from Spinn was quite responsive. A replacement (not a repair) is on the way.
I just received my Spinn today, and it's giving me an error. How do you do a hard reset? Thank you in advance.
@@christophercorrea6265 honestly, I'm not sure. Reach out to their support team via the app. I found them quite responsive.
Thanks for the video, sorry after all that you had to go back to your old coffee. Neat channel and keep up the posts.
Thanks, but support from Spinn was quick and I already have a replacement: ua-cam.com/video/9tPpd8CBwa4/v-deo.html

I just got mine and had the same issues. Returning.

Yes, I have the line installed now and it works great.

Hi tech coffee making juxtaposed to traditional post and beam carpentry. Charming. I love it.

While I still have some concerns about reliability in the long term, we really do love the Spinn.

Same problem with mine after about 6 months. Couldn't fix. Trashed.
Support from Spinn has been excellent. A replacement (not a repair) is on the way.
😀
I am now on day 2 with this machine, and I am having the exact same damn problem.
Contact Spinn support. They will take care of you. It's a hassle, I know.
I didn’t see that you added any beans to the hopper. And, the hopper light was on. ???
Nevermind. I responded too quickly.
I think it didn’t like your “too big” mug.
Thanks for the thought, but that's not what the support guy thought. I did try a smaller mug off camera.
I looked at the shot and I think it's not a good shot as my Breville Bambino could make.
