This is a nice looking blade, utility with a little style, looks just about the right size for a field/belt knife.
Wow .. this interview was great! Just discovered this knife today on ebay. Considered it for a bit, saw it was well thought out and executed. What the hell, pulled the trigger and bought it! Can't wait for it to arrive. Seeing the designer duscussing it on the same day I stumbled across it was brilliant! Thanks for making another excellent bit of kit in my collection Sir (ex grunt / MP - Australia) 😁👍🤘
I don't know how I missed this knife when it came out but I just ordered one. Looks great, love color combo.
I visited scenic Ramadi way back in '06. Words fall short. Anyway, like the knife a lot. Would be great if you could make an upsized version.
Have most of your CRKT products. Love your folders.
We’re glad you like them!
@ Aux and Rasp are my go to now. I use to carry an Eraser or Pharaoh. James Williams turned me on to your company.
Knives are getting to be like movies, all just variations on the same old themes, I haven't seen a "new" fixed blade knife that really made me say "I just gotta to have that" in years because I already have something that is close enough.
Dont fix what ain't broke
Support a Vet. Buy it ! 😁👍
It's been like this for thousands of years... It's a piece of steel with a sharp edge. No matter what you change, you're still going to have a piece of steel with a sharp edge.
What's the steel made of, how do I sharpen this thing
The Ramadi has SK-5 steel, which is a high-carbon tool steel. It is non-stainless, which is why there's a powder coat finish on the blade to help with corrosion resistance. Sharpening a recurve blade requires a little more attention to detail and a slightly different technique compared to sharpening a traditional plain edge blade. Blade HQ has a great tutorial on their website on how to sharpen a recurve blade.
