    Subs: should I stop uploading stuff this much in a row, or is it okay for you? This is up to you to decide of how should I do this. I can't put in on the shedule anymore, since the channel is not monetized, so I cant. Aaand, uhm... Yeah. I need your opinion on this, since I can imagine what a bitch this is - not to see any uploads from me, and then the whole freaking sub feed is spammed. Or is it okay? Leave a comment, I need to know your opinion. :3

    • @ayfindril
      @ayfindril 4 роки тому +660

      There's debate on whether he did use magic there or not, he does possess Narya one of the three elven rings of power which influences the element of fire and light, while also being originally the wielder of the Flame of Anor (name of the sun in elvish) as he mentioned in his fight against the Balrog - so I would argue that even though Gandalf did come at the right moment, the light of dawn was also enhanced with his powers to inflict a blind CC debuff on the Uruk-hai

      Gandalf seemed pretty weak imo. When I read the books as a kid I got this impression of a very powerful wizard. In the movies he hardly used magic except when he battled that dragon thing and became Gandalf the White. I enjoyed the movies don't get me wrong but he was the weakest magic user in the movies compared to the elves and his mentor. He was only stronger than the forest wizard.

The scene right before Aragorn tells Theoden to ride out, is when he realized what Gandalf said and knew hope was on the way! So it was actually Theoden who believed he was ridding to his death once again. Aragorn always had a lucky, elvish way out of a jam, while Theoden, being just as or maybe even more fearless, met his challenges in a very human way. Man, LOTR has so many layers to it, its crazy.

    I'm nearly 47yrs old and I remember seeing TFOTR in the cinema when it first came out 20yrs ago. My face hurt from the big grin I maintained for the entire run time. These films are truly timeless. Watching this scene in isolation and out of context still brought a lump to my throat. Brilliant filmmaking and storytelling.

Théoden though old, is clearly younger than his years as he is still able to fight. That is what a lifetime of battle will do to ya. The Kings of old were like that, they didn't just sit on their butts in some fancy castle, they went out and got sh*t done.

    When Gandalf was ridding out with Pippen he told Aragorn "Look to my coming at first light on the 5th day. At dawn, look to the east".
