With all this fluidity, mount riding, second weapon and all that i can only imagine the awesome fast paced fights that will result from these mechanics. And hopefully challenging monsters who will test your skill with handling 2 weapons
I thought they would tone down the track and mechanics from world, but I guess not, it’s a bit of a shame actually since they could’ve implemented new interactive ways to hunt/track a monster through the map, but it seems like just like world after some point you will just know where the monster is at the beginning of the Hunt without having to do anything which I’m not sure I like. Aside from that everything else looks clean, which also gets me hyped for the new portable entry in the future.
@@XenoflareBahamut I do, but lunatics like me have known about that feature from descriptions of the closed door demos for a while now haha. I am especially grateful for it because that clutch claw damage grab was something I used to kill Vespoids in Iceborne, it's actually quite handy
Everything looks great except the monsters being on the map instantly. I hated it in Rise and was really hoping that tracking would be expanded upon from World, maybe even get a similar feeling to classic games when you are looking for the monster after it ran away and the paintball wore off ir you never got it on. I hope that with a bunch of monsters on the field that it can get hectic with them all taking shots at the hunter instead of only dealing damage to each other for you
Yeah the Seikret auto monster search is in my opinion cementing the route of the MH games. We will no longer have to search for monsters, thus the "Hunter" part becomes more like "Fighter". But oh well still gonna play the game.
@@jeancouscous Yeah it was trivial it always has been, and that is why i would like a game where it is as fun and engaging as the hunt itself, a hard mechanic to implement but possible.
@@Gojolover433I partially agree. However I would like if a game that is called Monster "Hunter", would make the act of tracking and searching for a monster not as trivial as it is in all the new games or as pointless like in the older gens. If I have to manually disable a feature to have an expirience that would not only be harder but also not made for this game is not fun. The game will want you to search with your Birdpal because the hunt will be set up for it, the monster health or the time limit etc. making the game harder than it should be (i like playing thouse games casually). We also have no comformation that there will be any other method to search for a monster, so either you ride your Seikret to them automaticly or you wonder around the map until you found the target. It isn't something that ruins the game but it would be nice from Capcom to make the search for a monster just more fun.
@@cyrylo1452 Yeah fair enough! And I do agree. I can definitely see a lot of enjoyment coming from the searching aspect of the hunt if there were more proper game mechanics to it to make it fun. It'd definitely need some change or improvements to make repeat hunts less tedious too but that'd probably just come along as you advance in the game. But yeah, does kinda suck that something like that won't be in this game especially with it's more open world system. Although from cursory surface level research, it seemed like they advertise that exact sort of vibe to the hunt with "making use of camouflage and tracking herds of beasts" being something advertised. Idk but hopefully whatever ends up happening it'll be a good game regardless.
The slinger coming back is pretty cool, as long as that hook never ever EVER acts like the clutch claw. I'm so over "grapple, soften, fight for 30 seconds, grapple, soften, fight for 30 seconds, grapple..." I'm also interested to see, when the game comes out, if you can properly ride around manually like in Rise or if it's just the very basic "taxi service" from World.
I can't wait for getting monster tracking back honestly. I have fond memories of exploring the Ancient Forest for hours in the demo for World, being terrified when I first saw the Anjanath come out of the trees in front of me or seeing my first Rathalos which was crazy since it was my first game and I was seeing this special monster that was too powerful to be hunted yet. Rise sped up the pace by reducing the map details and auto-marking the monster, which worked for the style it had and made it better for Switch, but I am so hyped to explore and be stunned again by new monsters in brand new environments.
@@leonidasvonspartawhy not? U clearly don't travel fast while doing it so when a monster runs away from u, u can sharp ur weapon while moving a bit forward.
@@hugo-pg5tv you can also just jump on a palamute and sharpen your weapon with no chance for the monster to get you, lets hope this isnt the case for wilds🤩 (i love rise)
All those small animations, physics and movement, off and on the Seikret. So detailed and pleasing to look at. LOVE IT! This is what we've all been waiting for since World.
Looks stunning and I love the music! Sounds like they brought back a lot of the musical style of some of the older games but mixed up and new in its own way. Wonderful, I can’t wait to play!
I hope they arent getting rid of tracking completly, like they did in rise. It can be tedious sometimes but it really adds to the game and makes you feel like a real hunter searching for prey. I feel they should've tried to rework it instead of removing it entirely.
@@vernonbenton2654 Once you pick up enough traces of the same type of monster you don't need to do tracking anymore and just start knowing where it is.
I assume it’s more like monster trailraiders in World/Iceborne where the jagras or whatever you rode would try to figure out where the monster is by looking for tracks and following the scoutflies. Mostly saying this as you can see the scoutflies in front of the player and seikret as he leaves camp+near monster.
Looks great. Not sure about the mount autopathing to the target though. MHW did an amazing job of really making it feel like you're hunting something through a dense ecosystem. I feel like just having the mount do it will take away from that. Hopefully it has some limitations.
The same mechanic was in MHW: Iceborne, where if you leveled up your ecology level enough, you could mount smaller monsters like the Jagras and they would auto track you to the monster
@@nicholascoleman3280 Yeah but at least there was some involvement to that and made use of the ecosystem itself. This sounds way more simple and instantly accessible. When you're doing your 100th run hunting something sure its nice to have some convenience but I really dont want it to be a core feature of Seikret right out of the gate.
any lean back towards World is a good decision, not all of Worlds mechanics were great mind you, like farming for decorations and such, but the basis of its combat was never dull.
Im assuming youre comparing to Rise, and have to ask of World was your first game or not? Because of it was you are in for what youre after if you stay for multiple gens, theres essentially 2 teams (they do communicate tho) that make 2 types of games, the Console team makes grounded, numbered releases (World being 5 and Wilds being 6), and the portable team that makes expiramental, out there games in pair with the numbered release, like Generations after MH4 and Rise after World, not every game is for every fan and thats ok
@@sorinsnow3232 been on this since unite and the only one i missed was the japan only releases. technically my first was Tri, then i was shown the light on PsP of a REAL MH game. i know about the two teams yeah, both visions can be good fun, Rise... they came up with a rampage mechanic then all but abandoned it for the late game. was kinda sad about that because it was a neat idea. the wire bugs were neat but i liked the simplicity of the clutch claw. some people didnt like it, but a lot of those people were trying to use it at every opportunity rather than planning it out a bit. but honestly the CC was a nice piece of tactical gear along with the slingshot.
@@sorinsnow3232 yeah it was one of those tools that was more meant to complement the weapon. i've seen hunts late game where no one really uses it unless you get a CC stagger meant for someone to hit the mob with CC stuff. every hunt is totally doable without it, but its still so fun to use. aside from what they showed, i hope they improved it in other ways for combat as well. like a skill when you get sent flying to just CC mid air to get a quick slap on the target.
@@XiloTheOdd yeah, i feel like the tenderize mechanic is what people actually had issues with and Focus mode contains just a better version of it already so theres a Chance(tm) for CC or something similar to come back

Seriously cant wait for this to drop! Very happy to see slingshot returning!
The way it reacted to being slice on it's back 1:03
those sound effects, that ui... it's all so CRISP
Yea , this looks polished af
OOH!!! I'M READY I'M SO READY TO SEE THESE BADASS ANIMATION'S!!!
man i cant freaking wait, been a fan of the series since MH4U and i love seeing how much the franchise has grown
0:48 Fuck yeah, Jak 3 Leaper Lizard! Almost sounds the same too!
The game looks beautiful and just seeing how simple things are carying over and others are new. I can't wait to live and hunt in this game.
Less than 3 minuets of footage and I'm already sold on all the passive environmental interaction stuff.
It was 5pm in Japan that's why they've posted this at the time.
0:50 Chatacabra’s icon is so silly I can’t get over it 🤣
Everything looks so polished, smooth and detailed. That Cloth physics on the hunter looks so good. Everything looks so damn good! So hyped!!
These animations are so smooth I love it!
WHAT IS HAPPENING, ITS 3 AM
1 for me. 😂
Same lmao
1 am for me dude 😂
@@Dracassult Japan already 5 PM
3 PM on my country 😂
The 3D minimap at 0:52 is the only serious new information here, but holy shit it's so slick
honestly it's kind of small thing but it's still so amazing and important
you didn't like the slinger having a "grab item from a distance" upgrade?
@@XenoflareBahamut I do, but lunatics like me have known about that feature from descriptions of the closed door demos for a while now haha.
I am especially grateful for it because that clutch claw damage grab was something I used to kill Vespoids in Iceborne, it's actually quite handy
The weapon swap too
And also the game looks amazing and music is perfect
I'm impressed!!! How a small changes can make a big difference. Ready with my Dual Blades ⚔️ 😁
You explained this so well, thank you!
Everything looks great except the monsters being on the map instantly. I hated it in Rise and was really hoping that tracking would be expanded upon from World, maybe even get a similar feeling to classic games when you are looking for the monster after it ran away and the paintball wore off ir you never got it on.
I hope that with a bunch of monsters on the field that it can get hectic with them all taking shots at the hunter instead of only dealing damage to each other for you
Get this in my veins now!
DOCTOR, I NEED IT NOW, DO IT
What a good middle of the day surprise.
PLEASE have ultrawide support from day 1. Super stoked for this :D
Wasn't expecting this sorts of vids until after another trailer/ announcement but I aren't complaining, give us more please.
I'm so looking forward to helping train a new generation of hunters
Yeah the Seikret auto monster search is in my opinion cementing the route of the MH games. We will no longer have to search for monsters, thus the "Hunter" part becomes more like "Fighter".
But oh well still gonna play the game.
Bro, after 2h of fighting the same monsters you know already where they spawn. It was trivial anyway.
It's clearly an optional feature. If you want to keep that "Hunter" feeling, then just don't engage with it.
The music is so soothing as usual love it
The slinger coming back is pretty cool, as long as that hook never ever EVER acts like the clutch claw. I'm so over "grapple, soften, fight for 30 seconds, grapple, soften, fight for 30 seconds, grapple..."
I'm also interested to see, when the game comes out, if you can properly ride around manually like in Rise or if it's just the very basic "taxi service" from World.
They borrowed the right things from Rise already.
I fckin love the Seikret.
I like it too but I don't like that we can sharp weapons again on a mount
It's going to get so many DLC items to customize its look, saddles and all.
@@thestarfish5644 we could see that it walks slowly when he sharps the weapon. Rise wasn't that realistic compared to world and wilds.
Dude that armor is FULL OF PHYSICS, even the loose part of the gloves MOVE holy shit.
Everyone else: loving the gameplay footage
Me: having an eargasm at the sound design
Holy the minimap.. So excited!
All those small animations, physics and movement, off and on the Seikret. So detailed and pleasing to look at. LOVE IT!
This is what we've all been waiting for since World.
Thank god I didn’t sleep tonight
Same same same🤣
Slinger without clutch claw. Capcom is absolutely cooking
The soundtrack already sounding like its gonna be good
Im so excited XD
Looks stunning and I love the music! Sounds like they brought back a lot of the musical style of some of the older games but mixed up and new in its own way. Wonderful, I can’t wait to play!
Its got loooots of 4U caravan vibes
looks good. So good that I'm never going to believe this was recorded on console, actually XD
I hope they arent getting rid of tracking completly, like they did in rise. It can be tedious sometimes but it really adds to the game and makes you feel like a real hunter searching for prey. I feel they should've tried to rework it instead of removing it entirely.
I mean after like 10 hours tracking was almost obsolete in world.
@@abyssalrayz9499 how so?
@@vernonbenton2654 once you collect enough monster tracks for a certain monster the Scout flies automatically go to it or its tracks.
@@vernonbenton2654 Once you pick up enough traces of the same type of monster you don't need to do tracking anymore and just start knowing where it is.
cant wait for the next qol update that just plays the game for me
My god those animations. Those are legit some of the cleanest animations ive ever seen
That fluid animation on the potions though! Such a weird thing to wow me, but it looks so good lol
what you mean automatically takes you to the monster? like the autowalk on a phone game?
like the mount on world, if the monster show on your map, you tag and the mount go automatically, sorry for the bad english
@@zedoreboco8242 dont know "automatically" its some weird wording
Wait so the Seikret just tells you from the beginning where the monster is? That kinda sucks imo
I assume it’s more like monster trailraiders in World/Iceborne where the jagras or whatever you rode would try to figure out where the monster is by looking for tracks and following the scoutflies. Mostly saying this as you can see the scoutflies in front of the player and seikret as he leaves camp+near monster.
not the biggest fan of the auto tracking, but everything else looks great
Looks great.
I pratically breathe monsterhunter since i was 10 years old. This for me is just A FEAST. LOVING THESE VIDS
Looks like they took things from both world and rise and put the best of both worlds in it
I now understand why I woke up at three in the morning without any apparent reason-it was the hunter inside of me beckoning me to action.
any lean back towards World is a good decision, not all of Worlds mechanics were great mind you, like farming for decorations and such, but the basis of its combat was never dull.
@@XiloTheOdd yo fr on the cc, i get people didn't like how much IB Made you feel like you had to use it to do good, but i really enjoyed it
@@sorinsnow3232 yeah it was one of those tools that was more meant to complement the weapon. i've seen hunts late game where no one really uses it unless you get a CC stagger meant for someone to hit the mob with CC stuff. every hunt is totally doable without it, but its still so fun to use. aside from what they showed, i hope they improved it in other ways for combat as well. like a skill when you get sent flying to just CC mid air to get a quick slap on the target.
@@XiloTheOdd yeah, i feel like the tenderize mechanic is what people actually had issues with and Focus mode contains just a better version of it already so theres a Chance(tm) for CC or something similar to come back
monster hunter gets easier and easier
The physics in this fame are totally crazy! One of the best already that I’ve ever seen.
Loved this video, keep up the great work!
I'm a fan of everything except the fact that the mount automatically takes you to the monster. I wanna hunt the monster not just fight it.
Don't like that the mount just takes you to the Monster
it’s a mix of both free roam and guided
Hopefully it only does after enough tracks are found
No tracking of monsters? We go straight to it with the mount? That sucks man...
