In this river by Black label society it's a song for dimebag Darrell when he was killed it's a Beautiful song!!!! You really need to hear that song and react to it. Even if you don't do a reaction video you should still listen to the song.
He did do a reaction to " In this river already " go back about 6 or 7 months ago and he did a reaction to that very song. Which is a awesome song by the way.
You should do a summary video after this series ends. Like your top ten songs/bands that you checked out because of this. (Hopefully including the Opeth song that you reacted to but couldn't upload)
Too bad Zakk Wylde = W If you went to a record store to find a Joe Satriani album, would you look under J or under S? You'll never find it under J, that's for sure ;)
The people with the animal masks is a reference to a previous video. Zakk did a cover of Ain't No Sunshine ( the video featured Vinnie Paul Abbott of Pantera/Damgeplan/Hell Yeah, who is the brother of Dimebag Daryll Abbott)
I really appreciate that you really read the comments and also care what we think or our suggestions are! I think your one of the few kind persons on UA-cam! Keep being yourself and have a dope ass day as always! 😜🔥🔥💪

I have some info on this video most of the people in this video are actors from Kersey Valley spooky woods which is why the video would look so weird and it was also filmed directly behind Kersey Valley spookywoods in High Point North Carolina
Not sure if you've heard it but, A Perfect Circle - Judith. Maynard keenan from tool is the singer. It's a song about his mother, a devout Christian, who was confined to a wheelchair and he questioned her faith for it basically. The song has a mix of anger and sorrow in my opinion but it's pretty nice man.
I've been a long time-viewer but only commented once before. When I saw you were reacting to this video, I had to comment since I'm in this video in the background (the clown waving bowling pins in the air at the end) and many of the people involved in making it are my close circle of friends. My friend Justin is the director of this and several other Zakk Wylde videos as well as many other music videos for other bands (many of which I get the privilege to appear in). My understanding is that the concept for this video was Zack's idea, it was supposed to show a guy having a strange and terrible day and just being completely over it to the point that nothing phased him anymore. Zakk requested this video last minute and there was zero budget so Justin just called up all of his friends and threw it together over a weekend. There is a much darker, more serious video for the version of the song that doesn't feature Corey Taylor on vocals. It's so cool to see a video I was in and helped make show up here.
As far as the meaning of this song, I've always interpreted it as a breakup gone bad. The way people that once loved each other will say the worst things to each other during and after a breakup. She's cutting him down just to watch him bleed. Wanting to hurt him. He's giving her the last word, and that's the last thing she will get from him. That's just how I see it though.
Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
I feel the meaning had something to do with him killing someone in a car accident and getting beat down because it's the last thing he ever may have done and now he's going to lose everything. Also just a heads up that was both Zack and Corey on vocals you can hear the distinctive tone difference in their voices.
If you were doing the ABCs of metal using the Icelandic alphabet, you still would have 3 more letters to use; Þ, Æ and Ö. :) with that said: Is there a smoke detektor in the background giving off a low battery signal? Like on minute 3:51? Assuming it is in your apartment...
He was Dimebag Darrel’s best friend from Pantera ! Watch his song he did for Dime after he was murdered onstage in Ohio, In This River . He plays dimes guitar in it and dime was Vinnie Paul’s Abbott’s brother the drummer from HellYah he just passed away a few months ago it was so sad he was such a nice guy and Zakk took over w ozzy after Randy Rhoads’s was killed he was only 17 when he started playing with Ozzy and he can tear a guitar up.they were both in pantera and damage plan ( Dime & Vinnie Paul ) after Pantera shout out to Rita aka Dimebagshag ❤️ much love & respect she is Dimes widow. Maybe the reference was to his bassist Nick Cantonese who quit the band after 15 or so years he does school of Rock in pa but there’s been issues with that idk I think there were hard feelings when he left
Zakk and Corey were both doing lyrics, the meaning of the video was in small type right at the beginning as for the song, I dont know could be a relationship between him and an old friend. I believe this was dedicated to Dime Bag Darryl now that I think about it. I could be wrong so I apologize if I am
Great ending for this a-z metal journey, zakk is an incredible guitarist, I ve seen him live with ozzy, and in all the metal concert I have been i ve never seen a guitarist like him, with his 15 minutes solo, it was incredible

Just want to comment and say I really enjoyed this series! Maybe next you can do a series where you explore different sub-genres of metal and listen to a few bands from each genre.
Dude I've been saying it for months now, you should react to Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells. Yes they are a Screaming Metalcore band but he actually screams in such a way that you can understand him. You seemed to really dig "Dark Days" when you reacted to that at the start of your metal journey so I think its time for some double dipping action my man. Plus I think you would really appreciate the meaning behind "Wishing Wells" and enjoy dissecting the lyrics. You do this my man and you're sure to have a dope ass day!

This is actually one of my favorite songs by Zakk Wylde. It's a little bit of shame he didn't use Corey for more vocals than just at the end, but, it's all good Also, I can hear your smoke alarm low battery chirp in the background. Time to change those batteries. Thank you very much for taking the time and doing this whole list. I checked every single one out, and enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future.
The video is pretty simple. It's about a man named tom who is having a bad day. Everything that happens is meant to reflect all the shit bad luck that happens to us as we walk through life. Despite all the chaos from things and people we've become pretty much blind to it by this point. Not in a 'we don't see it anymore' way. More like in a 'it's gone but not forgotten' way hence the title of the song. The lyrics: You couldn´t find your peace within the bitterness that burns for the sleeping dogs that lie forever to return, forever to return Gone but not forgotten. You cut me down just to watch me bleed. Gone but not forgotten. I gave you the last word and that´s the last thing you'll take from me Isn´t justice what you hope? Believe in the story that you sell for the Sleeping Dogs that lie they are live and well, live and well. Gone but not forgotten. You cut me down just to watch me bleed. Gone but not forgotten. I gave you the last word and that´s the last thing you take from me. Gone but not forgotten. You cut me down just to watch me bleed. Gone but not forgotten. I gave you the last word and that´s the last thing you take from me. The last thing you take from me. The last thing you take from me. The song is basically about the anger we feel inside and how it's always there no matter what we do and about people who claim to be about something (peace, love, kindness) but aren't sincere. This is reflected in the video by people representing what look like religious and LGBT groups going at each other. Both contain elements within each other that profess to be about love but instead represent anger and hate. The person singing the song is obviously tired of dealing with this and refuses to acknowledge either, choosing to walk through life doing their best to remain neutral and not end up one of the clowns or people in fire like at the end of the video.
Saw Zakk last year with Ozzy, amazing live. He might not be the greatest guitarist ever, but he certainly puts some passion in his playing. Got some shitty videos of it on my "channel" (not really a channel)
Zakk wildes tribute to dimebag Darrell makes me tear up. Dime was my guitar idol the world will never be the same. Wish he reacted to that song. But still all is well when its Zakk. #METALFOREVER

Now that we're done with ABC's we can go back to normal requests. You need to check out The Living End. Try Prisoner of Society or Carry Me Home. They're an Australian rockabilly/punk 3 piece and they're awesome.
That whole "Book of Shadows II" album is great, as is the 1st "Book of Shadows" from back in the 90s. Speakin' of which, check out Zakk's old band Pride & Glory. It's basically Black Label Society before they called themselves that. Some of the tunes from the old P&G record still pop up in BLS setlists. "Machine Gun Man" & "Losin' Your Mind" & "Sweet Jesus" are my favorites.
PLEASE do Lord of the Lost! They have a tons of amazing songs like: Loreley, In Silence, Raining Stars, On This Rock I Will Build My Church & La Bomba (just to name a few) but Morgana is a perfect introduction song to their amazing sound and impressive vocal range.
Now that ABCs are over (great idea, btw), you gotta do some Darkest Hour!! They'd be right up your alley. Huge heavy riffs, epic solos, tons of melody. The Tides or Severed Into Seperates are great starting points.
I've been trying to get all the reaction youtubers to play BLACK LABEL SOCIETY for 6 months now. Alex, you were the first with " In This River". Can you please react to "In This River" (doom troopin' live). Start at the 2 minute mark. It is some of the best guitar playing you will ever experience. Alex, please , for the love of God react to this video so I can stop asking.THANK YOU!
OMMFG, am I the only one that hears the smoke alarm. Change your damn batteries. 😂

I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else noticed. At first I thought it came from my house 😅
I thought it was mine and checked all of them.
@@kennethtaylor2444 i checked it too 😂
So that's the noise it makes when the battery is low?🙄
Zakk Wyld was Dimebags best friend. Fun facts.
Uhm ya, thats why he recorded in this river as a tribute.
Plz don't take this wrong but I tought that it was his bother Vinnie I'm asking not being rude

@@spencemccavera5081 He wrote the song before Dimebag died. He only later dedicated it as a tribute to Dimebag.
@@JohnJohnson-ps1tz yep. It was just done being written. Talk about timing! 😭
Zakk is, of course an amazing guitarist, but he's super under-rated as a singer. I love his voice!
Change the battery in your smoke detector. Yeah I just saved your life.
Zakk was also singing, dude.
Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society - Stillborn
46Godshred yupppp
You should react to Stillborn by Black Label Society
I support this comment
I hate that song
@@zleggitt1989 I respect your opinion but don't share it, but anyways I doubt Alex will see this comment so I guess he wont make the reaction😂😂
Stillborn is one of the Greats!!!!

Ozzy Osbourne- Mr. Crowley, maybe next?
RANDY RHOADS ON GUITAR. Zakk is a BIG Randy fan.

Tom's having a real bad fucking day.
Ozzy- No more tears!!
I love Zakk Wylde ♡

FINALLY! A song I actually want to listen to!
Now that u discovered Zakk Wylde check out Black Label Society - In this River, song was written for dimebag
When Corey started singing I came. Btw the video reminds me of Seether's "Save today"
Prophets of rage - Strength in numbers
Now that ABCs are over (great idea, btw), you gotta do some Darkest Hour!! They'd be right up your alley. Huge heavy riffs, epic solos, tons of melody. The Tides or Severed Into Seperates are great starting points.
You should listen to the unplugged version. It shows off Zakk'e vocals. Great song. Great reaction
Death-Empty words
Actually this is Zakk's solo song, Corey has only huest vocals here in refrains
Father Zakk is a fuckin madman, cheers brother!!
VEIL OF MAYA - MIKASA
It's not safe to swim today
I've been trying to get all the reaction youtubers to play BLACK LABEL SOCIETY for 6 months now. Alex, you were the first with " In This River". Can you please react to "In This River" (doom troopin' live). Start at the 2 minute mark. It is some of the best guitar playing you will ever experience. Alex, please , for the love of God react to this video so I can stop asking.THANK YOU!
